Dirty Drive-Away needed some advice on getting a diesel pressure washer. I’m using a Honda 21 lpm 200 bar. I’m looking at the thor black edition with a hatz 2g40 with a series 66 pump. 25 lpm 300 bar. Would red diesel be good to run in that as I would save a lot of money? Any advice you can give mate?
@@theyoungottoman2678 to be honest I've never used diesel so can't comment. I cant see why you can't use red diesel but that's a fair lump of an engine to power that pump. What's wrong with your 200 @ 21?
Cheers for this info. Adding something to the bottom of the arm sure makes it look like a much simpler method. Takes the guesswork out of using a tape measure.
No worries, anything that's around 55mm should see you all good on most nozzles. A bit of wood or something works just as well. I just happened to have some duplo blocks to hand and they were spot on.

No not at all. Silly question but did you buy they right size. They do different sizes and if they are too big I'm pretty sure they will hit the frame.
Phil, great to see you back, happy new year and here's to a better 2021 for us all. You mentioned at the start of the video about changing the jet size for better performance. You might be able to answer this for me. Late last year I bought a BNIB stainless 20", 3 arm FSC, supplied with 3 x 025 jets, (It was from an auction so I had no choice in the jest size). My current machine is a GX340 with Interpump WS201 pump. This being rated to 15LPM @ 200 bar means a jet size of 050. Obviously a triple arm 025 is too big for my setup currently. I've looked at getting a twin arm setup with 2 x 025's but it's a chinesium model, (but what isn't chinese made these days?), and I don't know if a BE or Mosmatic arm with fit it. My questions are thus: 1. Are the rotary head a standard thread? If so, I guess I'm safe to swap the arm out from either of the aforementioned brands. 2. If Q1 is a NO, then could I swap the 025's out of the triple arm and use 015's, thus making 045 total and still get good performance out of it? As it stands, it's a great piece of kit, solid and well put together, (surprisingly), and for the price I paid, I'd be crazy not to make it work, one way or another. Cheers fella. Hey hey, nice to hear from ya. Triple arm FSC's always tend to pose your problem as they can only really be jetted for higher power machines. Even then with the 3 arms they do lack power. In response to your question regarding thread size on the rotor arm, I'm not sure if they are a std size. I would like to think since the chinesium stuff are copies,one would think they would uses corresponding threads. I am due to strip my rotor head down in the coming days so I will measure the thread on my rotor arm. 15degree jets give you more pressure to the surface, like I say you loose a small amount of coverage but you gain more cleaning power. In order to get your 3 arm jetted for your machine I think you will have to run 3x020 nozzles. You may find by running 3x015 size nozzles it may not run full throttle without potential pressure issues. Ideally switching out to 2 arm rotor would be better in your situation as the 3 arm will reduce overall pressure quite significantly. On a 3 arm rotor even correctly jetted will only give you around 66bar per nozzle which really won't do a great deal. To maintain full flow you will need to use 3x020. From my calculations a std 050 jet split in 3 is .16.7 or an 017 jet which isnt available. Phill

@@onetruecharlatan hey OTC, OK from what I measure the rotary head uses a 1/4" NPT thread. It's 18 threads per inch which is NPT (bsp is 19TPI) I've measured over and over and I'm getting the same reading. Phill

Turn whirlaway over put a straight piece of timber across opposing castors set bar 1 inch from timber.....loads easier.

I know this is a few year old video. Did you have problem with wheels hitting the frame. I just swapped mine today and they catch.
No not at all. Silly question but did you buy they right size. They do different sizes and if they are too big I'm pretty sure they will hit the frame.
