This is my first ever reaction to VoicePlay for copyright reasons I had to post my second reaction first: Enjoy my second reaction to VoicePlay - This is Halloween ua-cam.com/video/hmQGhooCYuU/v-deo.html
Please remember to tell me if you are a new subscriber and most importantly tell me why you love VoicePlay!
Thanks a billion (not a million, a Billion) for watching and subscribing 👍
I'd love for you to react to PTX "Making Christmas" which is from A Nightmare Before Christmas. So it's both a Halloween/ Christmas song. You'd LOVE it! ua-cam.com/video/Th_j7RUu2vM/v-deo.html
Don't worry about copyright with Voiceplay (or Geoff's channel). They are self published, do it all themselves, and don't mind if you don't do the pause /filter thing.
@@RoomWithAView1 Oops Barry!!! It's likely I've already seen it too! Should have looked it up first. Thank you @1 Mind
just wanted to make sure you saw this: the way you do your reaction videos is the way EVERYONE should do their videos! i HAAAATE it when people pause and play, pause and play, rewind, go back, over and over and over again!!! Your way is SOOOOOO much better!!!! You are by far my favorite reaction UA-cam-r for that reason!! Thank you!!
I haven’t seen anyone introduce J. None, the African American guy. And Earl is the tenor with the magnificent beard. Neither are presently with the group. Earl left in 2020 with no reason given and J. left in 2021 to join the Navy and sing in their choir.
The talent that this group has is remarkable!
Geoff has a 5 octave range, but I'm not so sure that Eli (ell ee, bald) doesn't also have that capability now. Eli can sing in so many accents and timbres it'll blow your mind. He's the one who surprises me now. Layne, the beatboxer also has at least a 4 octave range and sings beautifully.
Eli is the rock star in this group. He needs to do metal song or cover imo
Layne with is inhale bass may be even lower than Geoff! They all have AMAZING talents!
@@smallfamily2604 true but I don't know if he actually sings bass.
@@chrissynovful Eli oh Eli, I think he is adorable. When Voice Play did a live stage performance of The Chicken song which is was so funny Eli cracked me up. He be was so light on his feet & just a ball of energy. You can tell they were having too much fun with this song.
@@chrissynovful Eli also sings under tone for Geoff sometimes while Geoff is singing. I think Eli has a 5 octave range as well.
Voiceplay have the nickname of the "theater kids of a capella" because of how good they are at playing characters in their performances. They have several great songs like this, especially Disney or Halloween themed ones. However they do lots of great "normal" songs too such as Man in the Mirror, You're my Best Friend, Carry on Wayward Son, We're Good, and Bang! A very flexible group and the bass, Geoff Castellucci, has his own channel too with some amazing covers where he layers his voice and adds instruments.
Carry on Wayward Son is arguably their best arrangement ever!
If you really want to see “Bassy Boy”’s range watch his cover of “Sixteen Tons”.
Or Blackbird, or Country Roads, :)
Or go to Geoff's channel and watch his video on how he arranges for Voice Play. Funny and very informative. There are interviews with Geoff and Layne-the Beatboxer and the other arranger for Voice Play on The Charismatic Voice, well worth watching, if you want to get into the specifics of how the music is made, especially Layne's interview. Welcome to the Voice Play rabbit hole.
Also superb for experiencing Geoff's range are: Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, and Monster Mash.
Could you imagine a whole pack of dudes (not necessarily a choir) singing that together? Heh
@@SansAziza Ooh, get VP, HF, AND PTX together! All in one song, We Are The World perhaps?
In the last year, the guy with the beard (Earl-he was one of the founding members!) left the group. (They also lost the African-American singer here, J. None). They’ve replaced J with Cesar De La Rosa-and they’re still working on getting the newest fifth member…. (Of all the acapella groups you’ve reacted to, VOICEPLAY has been around the longest-VOICEPLAY was founded by Earl, Geoff, Layne and Elie in 1997. Home Free was started in 2000, and Pentatonix in 2011). Home Free is more country; Pentatonix is more pop, and VOICEPLAY is more theatrical. And there’s room for all three!!
Don't forget that Scott Porter from several TV series and movies was also an original member too!
Yea with Tim's voice Home Free is now built for country songs, even through they do so much else, he has an amazing country voice. Pentatonix is the professionals of the groups and the face of the business, they single handedly brought such groups back into the limelight when they showed up. There have been dozens of singing groups over the years, you can read up on them and many you'll remember or know even though you didn't listen to them nor were they big household names. Pentatonix had everyone watching and listening to the singing groups again, for me kind of like Weird Al doing Polka songs and having people enjoy those again.
Well said! There's no competition here. They're the holy trinity of a Capella. All are great in their own right! 😁
I’d throw in Voctave too, who are acapella but a full choir and do more Broadway.
Hoist the Colours by them is my favorite song ever. Its hard to go wrong with any of their videos, though. Halo Theme, Warriors and Queen in 5 minutes are also among my favorites. They go all out of many of their videos, so this was not an exception.. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
Hoist The Colours has to be the best one they have ever done. I love it.
Can't go wrong with that list! Those are some of my favorites too! Also agreed that this video was absolutely NO exception! The rabbit hole indeed bids welcome!
Little Mermaid medley is underrated, it's in my top 3 easily!
Of the big three a cappella groups (Pentatonix, Home Free and VoicePlay), VoicePlay is the most versatile, I believe. They can do these incredible theatrical numbers, but they can also nail a more 'normal' contemporary a capella sound (see their covers of Eleanor Rigby, Carry On Wayward Son, or Bridge Over Troubled Water for examples). But what's great about them is the original spin they put into all their arrangements (Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer, and Layne Stein, the vocal percussionist do the arrangements for the group). They are unafraid of taking creative risks (something I honestly feel sets them apart from the more 'traditional' a cappella acts), and not only that, those impressive, theatrical videos? They put those together themselves, doing the directing, lighting and editing on their own. PTX and Home Free are very talented, no question, but as far as creativity goes VoicePlay stands well above the crowd. Also, these guys are having *fun*, and that's something no amount of talent can replicate.
I call VP the Drama Dept of the a capella world! 🤗 Barry, you MUST listen to their arrangement of Hoist The Colors from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie! It is absolutely mind blowing! And you'd love their If I Were A Rich Man from the musical Fiddler On The Roof! And all of their Disney mash ups are great! Welcome to a new rabbit hole 🕳! 💖
Nailed it.
I agree completely! They are my favorite of the holy trinity
@@shilohauraable And their take on "The Dragonborn Comes/Dovahkiin" from Elder Scrolls V is something to hear. Also, Geoff Castellucci's "Over The Misty Mountains Cold" from "The Lord of the Rings" will leave you in awe. Geoff does the whole thing himself.
So delighted to see you here! Bass is Geoff Castellucci, also has his own private channel with amazing stuff on it (Monster Mash this year for Halloween) Beatbox is Layne, who arranged this one. Geoff and Layne do 99% of the arrangements, and whichever takes on the arranging usually also does the video. Check Tennessee Whiskey, We're Good, Eleanor Rigby for less theatrical performances that are vocally rich and gorgeous. Oh... and their stunning version of "If I were a Rich Man" But don't miss Hoist the Colors, which is beyond over-stimulating and has harmonies that will break your heart. That one drove many reactors into stunned silence. Already subscribed, but did give a like before I listened. I knew I'd love your reaction, and did. Thank you!
Great list of suggestions. Of them, I'll suggest _Hoist the Colors_ as next Voiceplay reaction. Barry, note that Voiceplay's thing is theatricality, but Hoist gives them all a chance to show their talents without having to do funny voices as most of them except Geoff did here.
I ditto everything mentioned above, except I'm now a new subscriber to your channel and I gave a like after, since this is my first time viewing you. Good review, I like the 2x through format. You cannot go wrong with any Voiceplay offering, and if you want your subwoofers tested give Geoff's solo work a listen. His has musical accompaniment but his harmonies (with himself in each of bass, baritone, and both tenors) is beautiful. Looking forward to your next reactions!
VoicePlay is the most cinematic of the 3 groups. They do many Halloween themed numbers that are great, they also cover Disney songs. Their arrangements are impressive. Carry on Wayward Son, Hoist the Colours, Queen in 5 minutes, and Boy bands in 5 minutes, are all wonderful
Some of their best for sure!
You HAVE to hear Voiceplay NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!! LOVE YOU ❤️
Voiceplay is based in Orlando Florida and the members have worked the theme parks and cruise circuits in the past. They play up the theatrical aspect in their marketing material. Also, the beatboxer owns a production studio along with a former member of Voiceplay.
Queen in 5 minutes highlights Earl's voice (bearded character with the higher voice). My Mother Told Me highlights Eli (the minion in red) and Geoff ( Mr Oogie Boogie Bass Boy) does a cover of Blackbird that really shows his range. Hoist the Colors is my fave by them so far. And they have a cover of Friends on the Other Side that is so much fun! Please more VP Barry! You make me smile every time☺
In my opinion, your ‘bassy boy’ Geoff Castelucci, has the most variety in his low notes. He’s willing to see what his voice can do and try all kinds of technique to make magic.
Yes, ‘Houst The Colors’ is a marvel but I really love their cover of Dua Lipa’s ‘We’re Good’
Barry - You MUST react to Geoff's solo video of The Monster Mash! It's amazing & will bring you some smiles. 🤗
Geoff has the best assortment of chest voice, subharmonics, and growl notes in the business!
@@smallfamily2604 yep everyone knows Geoff is the king. Adam is the best beatboxer with Home Free and I like Mitch in his range. But of course everyone in the groups are amazing and fun, each have their own speciality. Voiceplay is really theatrical. Home Free is funny and have a great time, Pentatonix is the king of the groups they really brought out and rediscovered the various singing groups, they are the face of the business.
Other VP songs to check out: Carry on Wayward Son, Billie Eilish medley, Panic at the Disco Part 1 and Part 2, Bang, Warriors, If I Were a Rich Man, and for even more diversity from this group, see their 21 Pilots medley. The list could go on, most everything they do is amazing.
Yay, voiceplay!! And Barry!! Love voiceplay, my fav group 🥰🥰
The look on your face is priceless! Geoff is the bassiest of bassy boys!
This is very much like the song in the film, they do have fun with their voices at times. My recommendations would be hoist the colours, halo, boy bands in 5 mins and if I was a rich man/girl. Also their Moana and little mermaid mixes are fun.
They are from Orlando and most of them have worked in either Disney o'r universal.
Geoff (bassy boy) has his own channel to see his range watch blackbirds. He has done monster mash for Halloween this year. He layers himself over himself so it can be 4 or 5 Geoff's singing lol
I've heard Voiceplay described as "The Theater Kids of A cappella"!!!! As you continue to watch them you'll see why they're so named!!!
Can’t help falling in Love is a deeply underrated song of there’s that is definitely worth a listen.
I can't help falling in love with you....their Elvis cover is practically ear candy! Great reaction! Sue
Would really recommend their rendition of Hoist the Colours. It's chillingly good
I'd also say their version of My Mother Told Me, from Early this year would be one to listen to
Voiceplay has the reputation of being the “Theatre Kids” of the acapella world. Many of them are Disney alums, and they often include costumes, makeup, designed sets and lighting, etc. in their videos. It’s always a ride with them!
Barry: "I take it this is a little different to what they normally do."
VoicePlay: *presents example upon example of how this is normal for them*
It is SPECTACULAR. I have watched it at least 30 times.
I like em'. And, since I'm not a reactor, I'm going to mosey over and check out some of their music. Keep em coming, Barry.
There are certain Voiceplay vids that have a lot of reactors, but if you want to see how they sound "straight" as opposed to theatrical and also pick one that hasn't been done to death by your peers, check out Any Way You Want It.
Home Free is my favourite a cappella group, but VoicePlay and Voctave (very different again) are great too. One of my favourite VoicePlay songs (apart from their knock-out "Hoist the colours" which already has lots of mentions) is "If I were a rich man" - would love to see your reaction...
Barry, I love watching someone see and hear Voiceplay for the first time; your reaction was great! I will second the motion for Hoist the Colours next, but you really will love most everything they've done. Carry on Wayward Son, I Will Survive, Can't Help Falling in Love, and Warriors......
One of their best covers hasn't been mentioned yet. I Can't Help Falling in Love. More traditional a capella and massively goosebump inducing.
All VoicePlay members have, at some time or another, worked for Disney. They all love to dive into their characters, they have so many theatrical videos! Earl (bearded tenor, who left the group about a year ago), Layne (beatboxer, red nose Zero here) and Geoff (fabulous bass) are original founders of the group back in 1997, so by now they are a very well oiled machine, and can produce the most awesome sounds! Geoff has an amazing vocal range and a very smooth tone (check also his soloes, like Sixteen Tons, Blackbird, Monster Mash, to name a few). Most arrangements are done by Geoff and Layne (this one is Layne, I believe), and Eli (bald tenor) does most of the lightning. They work on a small budget, but their creativity has no limits! 💖🔥🤯🙏💗
Can't help falling in love is a good one to see the pure control of their voices
"I get the feeling they've been set free"....I watched a couple of reactions, but this perfectly summarizes my feelings regarding this song
Poor Santa! The Oogie Boogie Man won't let him go!
Geoff, the bass, just released a new version of "Monster Mash."
Baha voice play are definitely the theatre kids of the acapella world, though they do also have some more ‘standard’ songs that are also stunning. Sometimes their covers take a few listens because they always do something unusual and left field with their arrangements. As other comments have said, hoist the colors is spectacular. For more ‘normal’ songs, wayward son and go the distance are my favorites. All their medleys are good too. Please react to more, they’re such fun!
Oh boy, you're in for a treat, Barry my love!
An early cover of their that will give you an idea of their overall vocals is "can't help falling in love". It does feature Geoff on the lead again, but each one has a good part in it. No beatboxing. The beatboxer Layne has a really good baritone voice. The one you just reacted to and the one I'm suggesting is older and they have had some changes in their personal. But very good vocals. They have been labeled the theater kids of the acapella groups. Hope you enjoy.
This one is very cinematic indeed. They have a variety of songs like this as well as several just basically singing and harmonizing. Their bass, Geoff Castelluci also has his own channel with some amazing songs where he sings all the parts himself. Thanks for the reaction! Just subscribed sir and yes, more Voiceplay!
Great reaction Barry!!! Thank you so much!! :)
When they do a cover like this they go all in. They pay close attention to details mimic the different voices. It really displays how talented they are. They all have big ranges. In here Geoff goes from a B4 down to an E1.
New subscriber here. I absolutely adore VoicePlay, above and beyond PTX and Home Free, who are both talented as well, but for me VoicePlay is out there on their own for their theatricality and brilliant ideas and arrangedments. Geoff, the bass here, has arranged for Home Free too before now.. As to the movie I think the Oogie Boogie person sing it all, but here of course it's divided up between the members. You should hear Hoist The Colours, and another I love is Tennesse Whisky. Can't Help Falling In Love is gorgeous. But it's hard to choose one, they're all so good. I subscribe to both VoicePlay and Geoff on his own, and am patrons for both. They need all their patrons to be able to afford to make such brilliant videos.
you are at the start of an awesome journey the are fantastic- some of their covers are in full costume others are more straightforward but they are all amazing 🏴
Your voice is coming in and out?? Something is wrong!
Nobody else seems to be mentioning it, and you didn't seem to be aware: this is a recreation of a scene from the animated Tim Burton film "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993). People my age think of that as fairly recent, but holy crap that's almost 30 years ago... Many people consider it a classic.
Thank you Barry, I really enjoyed your reaction, and puzzled faces! 😁
VoicePlay’s version of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” is hauntingly beautiful and shows what else their voices are capable of.
Voiceplay really brings the theatrics as well as their vocal abilities!
I love all of their Halloween stuff (My personal favorites) but for Christmas try their cover of The Grinch song and bassy boy's (Geoff Castellucci) solo channel for his version of Mele Kalikimaka.
For Geoff Halloween he just released the Monster Mash and last year he did The Headless Horseman.
Geoff is the bass, Bald man is Elie, the bat box is Layne the tall man with the black eyes and scarf. They are my absolute favorite. They are very playful in some of their choices. Geoff also has his own channel and it incredible. Any choice you make you will be happy with.
Thank you for reacting to Voiceplay! These guys are awesome! Very gifted, every last one. Yes, please react to more VP and "bassy boy" Geoff Castellucci. All of their songs are good and I like, Carry on My Wayward Son.
VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACappella. Bassey boy Is Geoff Castellucci he also has his own channel that he does his own covers.
I know I'm a year late, but I really love your videos, I wish more people would have that sort double view in their videos. Not because I don't want it to be stopped, if I just want to watch the video I can go do that, but because I enjoy the method you use so much allowing the viewers (and yourself) to have a fresh look and what you're responding to. It allows everything to be in the forfront of your mind, then you take it in, process and on the second viewing you can catch small things, figure out feelings about things, and make comments on things you noticed the first time. It's a very well developed reaction which is why I've been watching your reactions for some time now. Big fan, sir. Keep it up!
Such a lovely, encouraging comment. Thank you so much Patricia.
They do a lot of theatrical, but not always. Check "Carry on my Wayward Son" or Tennessee Whiskey for a more "normal" version. Their medleys (Queen, Boy Bands, Little Mermaid) are amazing.
For sheer drama, Hoist the Colours is not to be missed.
While I love this song, my personal favorite, that really demonstrates the pure talent of these guys, is Queen in 5 Minutes. Great reaction!!!
I do love Geoff's nickname. Bassy Boy! Love it. Geoff is just a dragon slayer! Amazing voice. Eli (pronounced Ellie) has awesome runs and riffs. Go down the rabbit hole, you won't regret it
You really have to see the movie to understand the context of this song. They did such a fantastic cover! These guys are so talented. Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer, had a 5 octave range and does solo stuff as well...has his own channel. But the whole group is absolutely brilliant! Glad you found them :) Check out their version of Hoist the Colours, and Geoff's solo cover of Monster Mash. You'll really enjoy it!
4:20 "What a range" yeah, that's one of the things I love so much about Geoff
As has been pointed out, this song is from Tim Burton's 1993 movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Iirc VoicePlay have covered 4 songs from that movie: "This Is Halloween", "What's This?", "Kidnap The Sandy Claws" and this one. I hadn't seen the movie and when I recently stumbled across VoicePlay I went back and watched it just to be able to compare the original versions to their covers. The original Oogie Boogie Song is a big band swing number, and while the singer does a great job, I can never help but feeling like the originals were made by some enthusiastic amateurs and then VoicePlay swoop in, grab the songs and transform them into what they were actually meant to be. "This is Halloween" blows me away no matter how often I listen to it. If you like this song, then you'll love that one! Arrangement-wise, "Kidnap The Sandy Claws" is also right up there, plus it features Rachel Potter. So, plenty to listen and react to, get cracking! ;o)
Congratulations on falling down the VoicePlay rabbit hole! They have a phenomenal range of performances. My favorite is Hoist the Colors, which is from one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Their videos often feel like these amazing jam sessions. They just keep building and building. In the a cappella world, VoicePlay is the theater/music geeks. They are very theatrical in many of their productions although not all are like a mini play, like this one.
Welcome to Voiceplay! Hoist the colors may be their best and I love their new friends on the other side version as well. They have a bunch of amazing covers to check out.
My favorite type of reactions is still when the reaction viewers do not pause in the middle of the video they watch. Those are getting rare. Thank you for doing it that way. I like the idea of watching it a second time instead of pausing it during the first time. I always thought first times should be enjoyment and then reviewing after, but watching a second reaction makes even more sense.
I just have to tell you that you are one of my favorite reactors, because there are moments when you just light up… because you actually get and here the things that make me so happy (almost giddy) and that means a lot. Thanks 💛
This is typical for VoicePlay. The tend to be more theatrical than other groups and usually somehow make each cover their own.
Geoff is awesome. And actually he has some great videos on his personal channel that might be good for your second channel. They’re like Q&A videos about how he sings so low and talking about the arrangements since he and Layne do most of the arrangements. It’s just his name, Geoff Castellucci.
Hey Barry! Can you react to Exo's Best Live Vocals 2020 Compilation?
Exo is a South-Korean boy band known for its great live vocals and great performing skills. Since they are on semi-hiatus because of mandatory military service, all of the members also started their own solo careers. In the compilation above, you can hear both group and solo performances. Thank you in advance! :)
It would be awesome to see a reaction video about EXO's vocal.
Please
😍😍😍😍
Yes
EXO has one of the best vocal line in kpop. It would be nice if you can react on this video. Thanks.
For some musical groups, the important holiday is Christmas. These guys go bananas around Halloween, doing "spooky" songs from Halloween movies. (This one comes from the Disney film "The Nightmare Before Christmas" which is basically about what happens when the creatures who run the Halloween holiday discovers that theirs is not the only holiday.) Other Halloween/spooky songs they've done include "This is Halloween," "Grim Grinning Ghosts," "Friends on the Other Side," and "Kidnap the Santy Clause" (which is from the same movie, and in the movie comes just before this song). In addition, the "bassy boy" as you call him, Geoff Castellucci, has produced covers of "The Headless Horseman" and "Monster Mash" independently of this group.
So the members of the band (or at least the ones in this video) are:
Eliezer "Eli" Jacobson - tenor. He's the guy in the red long johns.
Earl Elkins - high tenor. He's the guy with the beard.
Jesse "J. None - baritone. He's the guy in the black jacket.
Layne Stein - baritone and vocal percussion. He's the guy in the white shirt with the glowing nose. He's also responsible for most of the arrangement used by this group.
Geoff Castellucci - bass. You can tell who he is.
Both J. None and Earl have left the group (Earl permanently, J. only temporarily) and the group now includes tenor Cesar de la Rosa, who is amazing.
I'll add my vote for you to check out Hoist the Colors, and Queen in 5 min. Carry On Wayward Son, Bang, and Warriors are also incredible.
Barry, I am so happy you finally got to VoicePlay. YES, I do want more VoicePlay reactions, so I SUBCRIBED. 🌺 Some suggestions for more VoicePlay? Any of their videos really. They have great vocals and are also theatrical. Their videos are usually very enjoyable. A few of my favourites in no particular order: Moana Medley, Little Mermaid Medley, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl (from Fiddler on the Roof), Hoist the Colours (from Pirates of the Caribbean), Phantom of the Opera, You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch, My Mother Told Me (old norse song). Go on and explore their channel. 😊
Side note: their "bassy boy" is Geoff (pronounced Jeff) Castellucci. He does solo work as well. Check out his Sixteen Tons, Blackbird, Over the Misty Mountains Cold, and many more.
Have fun!
Welcome Barry to the rabbit hole that is voiceplay... Geoff Castellucci has many solo works out there .. black bird Beatles cover will show you his range. And any voiceplay tune in my opinion is Awesome 👌
I dunno. He got two songs in and then stopped. I like Home Free and Pentatonix too, but if Voice Play isn't getting equal time, I think I will unsubscribe.
React to “Nothing Else Matter” by Voiceplay.
Yes please more Voice Play. I too have just discovered them and am looking forward to join you on your Voice Play journey.
The bass is Geoff Castellucci, and is incredibly talented! He has his own solo channel, and arranges and edits his songs, plus does all the vocals. Voice Play is wonderful, and some of their best pieces are Warriors, Hoist the Colours (EPIC), Eleanor Rigby, We're Good, Butter, Bang, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl.
The power to resist the force is strong with this one. How'dya wait so long.
More Voiceplay, please!
Such a deep low voice love it.
Bridge over troubled water, Can't help falling in love, Mr. Blue Sky, Man in the mirror, Bang!, If I were a rich man/girl. These are more traditional covers. (Just subscribed).
Oh sweet sweet Barry… you will absolutely love this rabbit hole!!
You might want to check out the bassy boys channel… he does songs all by himself … both high and low notes by layering his voice…. I suggest you do check out Geoff’s stuff
I suggest his Sixteen Tons by Geoff Castellucci
Voiceplay "Boy Bands in 5 mins.", "Trapped: Billie Elish in 3 mins.", Panic! At the Disco (Part 1 & 2)", "Queen in 5 mins.", "Carry on Wayward Son", "Hoist the Colours", "Halo Theme" (from Video Game Halo). There's more but that should be good to get you started on their normal sounding voices.... Take Care & God Bless.
New Welsh subscriber here! Love seeing people's first reactions to VoicePlay. I love everyting about them. They can literally cover any genre music but theatrics like in this video is definitely their specialty. Please, please react to more as they have loads more videos covering all genre and check out Geoff Castelluci's (bass boy) solo stuff.
Yes!! Please do more Voiceplay!!!
I recommend the little mermaid medley and their version of the phantom of the opera bot featuring Rachel Potter. These I especially enjoy! Also the solo stuff from Geoff (the bass) 😊
React to Geoff Castellucci, the bass singer, his channel has many good songs. My favorite is over the misty mountains, I see fire
Plz react to their cover of Hoist the Colours, from the Pirates of Caribbean! The arrangement, the harmonies and the lighting are absolutely STUNNING!!
Hoist the colours high by voiceplay and the Halo theme by voiceplay, in the Halo theme Geoff castellucci actually it's one of the lowest recorded notes at the beginning a B0.
More voiceplay reactions!
Geoff can go almost an octave higher (A#5 in peaches) and more than an octave lower (C#0) than the highest and lowest note in this song
But his lowest sub is a A0 or A#0
i absolutely adore how geoff's nickname from you is bassy boy ahaha
MORE VOICE PLAY!!!
You need to react to all of Voiceplay's stuff!! They are awesome and fun. Oh yeah, I subscribed😁
Barry, time for a reaction of Pentatonix's rendition of "The Prayer". Loved it; best ever. Have your tissues ready and Mitch shines in this one.
Now you have listened to the big 3, PTX, Home Free and Voiceplay.
You can do so much with "Bassy Boy" solo stuff.
Do his version of Blackbird.

I love VoicePlay, and their name says it all great voices, with quite a bit of play. Almost all of their videos have some combination of both and that's what sets them apart from PTX and Home Free. The great thing is if you like one of these groups you will most likely enjoy all three of them. I look forward to more of your reactions to VoicePlay.
Geoff has around a 5 octave range, and of all of the low bass singers, for me, he has the clearest most sonorous deep lows and subharmonics. This is a scene from the animated movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. If you like Disney movies you should check out their version of the Little Mermaid and Moana medleys. You do realize that there are no instruments. All of the sounds, beats, drums, etc. are done by Layne their beatboxer. Oh, don’t miss their Queen in 5 minutes, you will hear all of their individual voices without any crazy characterization.
And to totally blow your mind here is their latest masterpiece from the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Hoist The Colors High,

I can't even imagine how weird this is if you haven't seen Nightmare Before Christmas. It's not too early, because it's both a Halloween and Christmas movie.
Feel free to pause while you listen; gives you more time to process and get your thoughts out. 🤣 Great video!
Voiceplay are very versatile and yes they are very theatrical, I don't know if this was the best song for you to be introduced to. I love their cover of Imagine Dragon's "Warrior" but their version of "Hoist the Colours" is by far their most amazing song yet.
That boogie boice is awesome! So waych the nighmare before. Christmas
They give it on christmas also HA! HA!
Hoist the colours will wreck you
I really loved it , they are amazing 🤗
