Sneakers with a suit don't do it for me, but if ever it's work, it's on him with that look. My complaint is that the jacket is a bit too short and a bit too wide. I understand that short jackets is a trend, and the suit jacket isn't really too wide. But it's too wide for the length. If a jacket is going to be so short, it has to be a bit tighter for me, or else the bottom of it flares out a bit too much.

The turtleneck also looks 50s, 60s, 70's, 80s, 00s, in other words it's classic.

1st look: the shirt is too loud, but the outfit is ok overall
2nd look: not too sure about that one...
3rd look: it's great, but I wouldn't wear sneakers with a suit
4th look: perfect! that's the epitome of formality and elegance in that suit
5th look: like it! the pocket square ads a nice flash of color and the turtle neck makes it perfect for a weekend retreat in a luxurious cabin in the woods

Those horrible valentinos ruin the whole silhouette. Its far too sporty of a shoe shape. The jacket is too small. The first shirt is just weird.

I'd have used the polka dot pocket square in look #4. I think the roll neck is too high in look #5, almost resembling a neck brace or one of those ethnic neck-stretchers. None of these looks grab me (and I wear a lot of navy suits in many ways), but I still look forward to and appreciate this series.

linkinduck94 I think it's a blazer instead of a suit jacket. Some blazers are made short. having said that, the sleeves are too short.

Americans tend to wear t-shirts underneath proper shirts; Europeans tend to eschew the tee. As for the "boxy" shape of the jacket, the shoulder is more structured which is based upon preference, not necessarily upon rule. The waist can easily be nipped by a tailor.

Tis not possible that in MR PORTER's huge wardrobe of both clothes and models, that this match was the closest. I felt the same way after watching the video. This one did not deliver the smashing & splendid entertainment and education that the others always do. I respect and adore MR PORTER, but constructive criticism is far from a bad gesture.

Good for a creative profession.....perhaps.. But if you're in sales you won't be selling jack *&%^ wearing tennis shoes with a suit.
if he wanted to have a relax yet professional look, wear loafers or another style of slip on shoes. he will look fitting yet comfortable.
Depends upon your sales and your location. I live in Los Angeles. You could totally wear nice tennis shoes with a suit...and still sell a script or a movie for a million dollars. BTW: You can also buy really expensive casual tennis shoes that will run you 500-750 dollars. I did this weekend...

The trainers in the third one was too casual for that outfit, it would've worked if he was wearing chinos with a navy blazer and dark wash jeans.

stopped watching after the first outfit, the suit was too small and i guess i'm just old fashioned (but I'm only young) but i like the classic Man's look not this stuff. But thats just me!

I started out skeptical, then by the time the sneakers arrived I was throwing shit at my monitor. Mr Porter, expect an invoice to compensate me for my smashed screen.
You would probably go to a tailor after you get a suit from mrporter.com (the same way you would tailor a suit you buy in the store to fit that extra perfect).
These are expensive garments and I bet mrporter.com sells them afterwards so thats probably why they don´t customize them for the videos as they would be useless to sell (they´ll lose money)

The suit doesn't fit...both the jacket and the sleeves are much too short. The collar gapes....etc etc etc...The outfits themselves are ridiculous. If this is the best you can do ...find another job.
1. The first outfit is awful. Hate everything, but the suit.
2. The shoes are terrible in almost every example. I cannot imagine wearing 4 of the 5 shoes with that suit.
This is just simply horrible. The short sleeves and sneakers just ruins it.
