These vans were built in Southampton the same city where I lived. I only live 10 mins from where they were built. My father drove them in 2006 or 2007 from the factory to the docks. He said that its the mazda mx5 of vans. He said the VW transporter is for style like mercades slk but the transit is fun to drive like a mx5.

A must upgrade for a MK 6 or 7 Transit is replace the Tibbe door barrel for the Hykee security barrel. Other wise anyone with a Tibbe pick will be straight in.

CAElite Hey mate! (My names Nathan by the way 😜) Thanks for watching! They are getting harder to find! They range from anywhere between 5k-12k id say! Usually the later models tend to be more money for some reason, doesn’t matter in my opinion what year it is! Usually the ones below 5k tend to be “replicas” I find. Best bet is going to be on the Internet id say for that price, check your ebays and gumtrees etc they usually pop up now and again for decent money! Dealers will be wanting top dollar for them! I don’t know if any round my area, I wouldn’t encourage people to buy a certain vehicle even if I did as it’s got to be your choice at the end of the day and there’s always risk involved with second hand vehicles! 👍🏻 Good look shopping, hopefully you find the right one! 💯

Aye Ill keep looking, all I'm avoiding is the old 5spd 130hp ones as I've heard they can be problematic.

CAElite Haha dont worry about it! If you look online there’s problems with everything these days, but I do prefer the 6 speed! The early 2008 ones (like mine) as well don’t have DPFs fitted due to the regulation change in late 08 early 09, just thought I’d mention that! New video of the camper conversion should be going up tonight at around 6pm! Lots more videos to come 👍🏻

As far as I’m aware the sports don’t come as a crew van at all, you have to convert it yourself, which many people do! Hope this helps man and good luck with your search! 😁💪🏻

Hi mate. I've been offered one of these by a friend for £2k. Bit of rust on one sill and a lower arm is knocking ( no big deal) It has had a new engine and turbo put in 10000 miles ago that is still under warranty. Do you think I should have his hand off??
Hello pal, Well if it’s £2k it probs not a genuine sport more than likely a rep (which doesn’t matter if you aren’t fussed about the “title”) it’s up to you at the end of the day mate, just check for rust and rot and do all the usual checks, theres always a risk when you buy something second hand, it could last a lifetime it could all go wrong next week 🤷🏻♂️🤪 good luck and merry Christmas 🎅🏼💪🏻

Hi Lauren, yeah no problem it’s actually a kit all cut out specially for the dash which I bought online! Comes in lots of different sections, Just have to line it all up yourself and stick it on! It’s not perfect il be honest but it’s pretty good fit I think! If you want drop me a message on Instagram and il try find a link to it for you 👍🏻

Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻 dont often fill it up if I’m honest but £40 of vpower gets me about 300 miles roughly, getting about 35mpg. To fill it should be roughly £80-90 of vpower. Considering its about as aerodynamic as a brick I don’t think it’s too bad 🤷🏻♂️ hope this helps with your van search 💪🏻
Thanks for the reply bud! That does sound pretty good if I'm honest, I've currently got a ford transit connect 05 plate and £60 to fill but would be lucky to get 400 miles to a tank so £40 and get 300 miles to a tank is pretty good! I think that's made my mind up really! Thank you!
Keep in mind I drive about like it’s a Sunday everyday 😂 most of the time 😜 do a bit more research I’m sure Google will give you some exact figures on fuel tank size and mpg etc 💪🏻
Also genuine ford fuel filter can mean it hasn't actually been replaced for a long long time lol. Love ya content. I'm a sport camper owner too.

@@coswecan no mate theres not many campers. Mines performance blue, pop top, r&r bed, custom units, swivel double seat, night heater etc. Look forward to seeing how yours comes along! I do want some gunmetal grey motorsport alloys tho, they look wicked

Prefer to see an old genuine ford filter than a new after market item that is more than likely not even the correct micron filter, what else have they cheap’d out on if this is the case 🤷🏻♂️ all 140bhp vans have the electronic actuator not just the sports, always watch out for an immaculate engine bay too as these are prone to massive oil leaks 👌🏻

Euro 4 euro 5 different turbo . Both have actuators on the turbo. One mechanical and one electronic. Rear exhaust it total crap and not worth bothering with. Alloys are junk aswell. Minimum load rating. They might aswell been made out of lead their that soft. Aftermarket alloys far superior for strength.

Yes mate I’ve spotted one but online check states 5 speed 85bhp? But photos (gorgeous) looks like a sport, wheels, gear shift (silver top) camera etc.
Might just be a replica in that case 🤷🏻♂️ they did do a 5 speed sport on a 57/07 plate but it would be 130bhp
