this is actually more correct than it should be... fish isnt an actual biological, taxonomical term, but rather a common use word that groups together a lot of unrelated animals. In the middle ages, badgers and otters were considered fish and eaten during lent! Without a true taxonomical definition, it is valid, linguistically, to say that all water animals are fish.
I am more closely related to a lungfish than a lungfish is to a salmon
Chinese tags almost every exclusively oceanic/water creature as "a fish".

I still find it funny that X was arguing about the logistics on what is considered a fish to someone with a Biology degree.

Which yeah, he does have a point, Jellyfish is definitely not a fish, it's in fact a Scyphozoan and an invertebrate, being the part of a COMPLETELY different phylum than fish.

The fact that X was having trouble because he didn't make a fish and then didn't finish the final challange because he got a fish instead of a book makes it all the more funny. My new headcanon is that to xisuma everything you find underwater is fish, and since you can also get books from a fishing rod, to xisuma all books are fish and all fish are also books.

x was so much fun during the permit challenges. absolutely adored your delivery of the jokes, and you making grian laugh at false's joke with your laugh is probably my top moment from the whole thing

Oh no, losing a permit by betting on a game might remind Scar of how Lando lost the Falcon - what an unpleasant way to be reminded of his favorite movies that would be.
So now the collective has Jo-wooooooooooool-e Hills.
One group doesn't have to own all the permits of a collective, all of the collective just have to be in the same shop. The wood collective aren't exactly working together. Doc charges sand for his permits while the others charge diamonds but they are all in the same shop.
If anyone ever misses a Big T meeting, you guys should bring their goat horns so you can "respond" for them with the horns!
the collective must item must be sold together, you don't need all the permits to build the shops, that is what a got from Grians explanation

getting the terracotta permit from Scar is a lot harder than you might think, since Scar is one of the Permit Office employee so he can kinda bend the rules a bit.
7:40, to be fair, given the rules of the permit office I think Small T would have to be apart of the Big T shop given they hold the majority of the permits. Scar is apart of the Permit enforcement board but it's entirely possible to rule-lawyer compliance given the current situation. To be fair, I think Skizz and Scar are the enforcers (?) and both are currently people needing to be enforced upon so not sure how useful Permit enforcement will be..
Can't believe X thought they were going by elementary school rules for the fish build.
Fish (elementary school definition): anything that lives in water.
Fish (actual definition): an aquatic, cold-blooded, vertebrate with fins and gills.
Now let's test X's builds using that definition.
Jellyfish:
Aquatic ✔️
Cold-blooded ❌ Doesn't even have blood.
Vertebrate ❌
Fins ❌
Gills ❌
This is why they were reclassified as simply Jellies.
Whale:
Aquatic ✔️
Cold-blooded ❌ It's a mammal.
Vertebrate ✔️
Fins ❌ They're flippers.
Gills ❌ Again, it's a mammal.

@@lforc3829 Not everything is a taxonomic classification. Botanically, vegetable is a nonsense category, but it's still a thing, defined by culinary use. Fish is a valid group, but it's descriptive, not taxonomic.

this definition of fish actually makes several fish not fish. mudskippers are amphibious, some sharks, tuna and the opah are warm blooded, swamp eels lack fins and lungfish dont have gills. taxonomically everything that evolved from fish is still a fish and if its not then fish don't really exist. and despite that a jellyfish is still not a fish (though the whale is). its a technically correct thing v unserious just a fun fact i know.
Oh, no. Ren was the one that tried to negotiate with Scar last time. Why is Ren the one coming up with ideas now? Just send Cleo or False in to negotiate with Scar.
I protest that there was no "Minecrafting" in this episode! Minecraft is about playing with your friends and having fun, not just building. Plenty of Minecrafting happened this episode, just not the building kind 😉
I love this season so much, with the interaction of the hermits and just being goofy. It makes my day just hearing everyone enjoying this season

BTW Armadillos drop scutes about as frequently as chickens lay eggs, so you could have the same collection system and be swimming in scutes in no time!

When did the rules change? I swear the only rule for a Collective Shop is that ALL items of a collective need to be sold in the SAME shop, not that the owners of half the collective needs to obtain the remaining permits...
All that needs to be done from the 27 times i watched the Hermit Permit distribution thing is All permits of a collective need to be under the same roof... aka yall make one Shop and a small room off to the side for Scar to sell his Terracottas.
I don't think the rules changed, it's still the same, just Ren is playing into the role of snatching all the permits so it stays within the neighbourhood. Scar is the only outlier, and while they could simply open the shop with Scar, they want to gain control over the permits.
Kinda like how Big Wood and Doc went about their permits, gaining control instead of simple collaborative shop.
@rudrodeepchatterjee Doc doesn't hold all the wood permits. He has 3 partners. Beef, Skizz and Joe. They are all housed in the hourglass.

I don't usually comment on UA-cam videos, although I watch them regularly and always leave a like. But I'd like to talk about how much fun I've been having watching X this season! Despite being more introverted, X has been stepping out of his comfort zone and enjoying the company of other Hermits more, not to mention that he genuinely seems excited about this season. I don't know if it's just me, but I'm glad for you, X! I truly hope you're having as much fun as I do when I watch your videos. I work and study all day, so coming home and being able to watch a new video before bed has been one of my rewards after a tiring day. Keep up the great work, X! 💛
I love the goofy interactions that this season has created. It’s probably my favorite season to date when considering the Hermit’s interactions and the number of funny moments. Absolutely loving it. ❤️🤣

I remember first seeing Xisuma in Mumbo's season 4 episodes and he appeared to me as the most sane, serious person on the server, but now that I have watched him for a good couple of years I can safely say to my old self that they could not have been more wrong

The way to get to Scar is to do something cool enough to make him want to get in on it. I'm thinking go all in on the terracotta rangers thing. Fancy costumes, cool horn assembly sound clip, custom weapons, giant transforming terracotta robot .... he won't be able to resist.
