I lost my mind when Marcus came out and I honestly thought I was about the only person there that knew him. Lol! People around me were like "who is that guy???". I'm sure all my fellow guitar nerds were as excited as me though. The show was awesome and the ONNNNLY thing I wished would've happened is he would have played at least one Cream song. It was cool to see him playing Tears In Heaven again though. Also Got To Get Better was smoking too. Don't be fooled. Clapton still has it and has never lost it!

I remember watching the Clapton crossroads festivals as a young boy and seeing BB come on last as the elder statesman. It was so mesmerizing. Now as an adult approaching 30, it’s Clapton who is the elder statesman bringing in younger guitarists. May he live for many more years to come

Fantastic! What a rendition and lineup! Love that Clapton let's everyone else take the spotlight now like he did here with Marcus King. Such a Legend and love he has down so much and still does for Blues music Rock Music Country Music and ALL Music a TRUE legend and Master with True Class it's why BB-King Loved him like a son, also Buddy Guy, Hendrix, all the greats and Later SRV and All Especially BB King and Buddy Guy CREDITED CLAPTON with almost Single Handedly finding the Blues, bringing it to England, playing, reviving, Reinventing the Blues, but INCLUDING ALL the original Black Blues artists in the 60s and re-launching their careers which were dead as was the music, and reintroduced it to White and Black American audiences which was segregated at the time the Black kids were embarrassed by it and the White kids didn't know about it but Once Clapton and Peter Green Fleetwood Mac, John Mayals Blues Breaker and the Rolling Stones ALL started playing the blues among many other British artists and later younger American Artists it sent the old Blues musicians Like Muddy waters and Howling wolf Buddy Guy, T bone walker and alike their careers went stratospheric! Through Clapton and alike crediting them the dues they deserved and SHOULD have got the first time around in the US, bringing them back to America, giving them fame fortune recognition and Creating the Modern Blues, we all love, into Rock, then Metal, and inspiring the Modern Blues players we have today!
The man is GOD as he came to be Known! As was Peter Green Fleetwood Mac God rest his soul and Jeff Beck, Three of the greats of their generation, along with the GREAT Buddy Guy and Albert King, Freddie King Albert Collins and alike... Fact he's STILL performing on his late 70s at that level promoting young talent despite him having Emphysema and the Neurological Degenerative disease robbing him of his guitar ability for the last few years, he's STILL performing at a level most would dream of despite that and obviously not as long as he used to be able to keep it up bit still THE MAIN MAN!
GOD BLESS ERIC CLAPTON! For ALL he's done and does for Blues artists and music! 👍🎸😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

And I knew who Marcus King was too. I was stoked when I saw him walk out with his ax! Marcus rocked it out for sure. What an awesome encore, to a phenomenal show. It was well worth the drive.

Clapton just loves to play with great players simply because it keeps him on his toes and he excels when pushed by the young guns and his band. He still has the chops to nail anyone - he is just no egotistical about it because he loves the music and sharing it with like minded people. Time for him to come back to Australia !!!!

Clapton may be God but Marcus is the second coming....

Clapton was *never* God. Good guitar playing was never a qualification for encouraging reckless endangerment of audience members & those they can infect.

Been following him for 6 years now since almost knew who he was as a 16 yo in Grimey’s Nashville. Good suggestions. I would add his cover of Gloomy Sunday in the MKB medley of his live EP!

None of this even matters. All that does is, do you know Jesus? Better do that today! Please, all of you. We need Him!!!

@Eric Clapton I certainly mean no disrespect Eric. We just need to tell as many of our brothers and sisters about Jesus if they don't know Him. It's the only way out alive. And I loved you sharing your life story in the documentary years ago, I couldn't believe it but it's the same as my grandson of 18 years. His mother left him with my wife and I at a week old. Rock on brother!!
