Absolute true bodybuilding legend who went beyond the pain barrier, his quads were huge and insane due to maximum intensity. you gotta love tom platz for his ultimate dedication and commitment when in that gym doing the business.
If u dont feel the pain u know u are doing something wrong in the gym. Most people never seams to realize that and never get anywhere with their trainings.
Platz knew the body could be pushed crazy hard at that time ...so he went for it I could listen to platz for ages one of the few in bodybuilding I appreciate for his passion no pretence Platz will go down in history he revolutionised the quads development
I know Platz is known for his legs but damn - he worked his ass off to bring his upper body up as well. Look at that bicep shot starting at 4:40 - amazing development.
Perhaps partial reps to build strength more in the beginning of an exercise’s motion? I’ve never done that or have done any research on that. Not sure if it’s even a thing but that’d be my guess?.. 🤔
vivemos trilhando o caminho da nossa morte, então se eu pudesse escolher o caminho para minha morte, seria vivendo até o último dia de vida no bodybuilding
It's about genetics at the Olympia. Everyone there works insanely hard but what separates them is genetics. That's the only big difference between CBum and those placing behind him. Or Phil Heath and Kai Greene
Legs were always incredible but out of proportion. One arm was bigger than the other and that was even before he tore his biceps. His training style was often an injury waiting to happen.
We all know the 1980 Mr. O was Mike Mentzer , and the 1981 was Tom platz and Arnold and friends rig the comp for them to win! What a joke Arnold and Franco are
well he won mr universe, so he must of been good. tom had a great physique, a physique that many people would love to have including me. especially his huge legs....
@@stuartbrown25 I personally didn’t like his stuff so he must’ve been seeing double when the judge’s were talking they didn’t agree he should’ve won but he won anyway so! there must have been a fixture there bc there were way more options than Tom!! Lots more !! some guys like Kevin levrone would have won it 3 times then if they thought Tom was good enough to win!!

A true mixture of Mike Mentzer's emphasis on intensity and Arnold's emphasis on volume.
He did both, he trained hard and long.
The Platz Intensity! No one before him and even to this day !
Big ramy?
@@HelloCurve111you did not just say that…

Isometric exercise, which tension is developed without moving or contracting the muscle
Post exhaustion reps. He's already crushed his pecs. He contracting the muscles
