Then bam life hits me in the face. She's gone. Women man. probably a new guy. You know the story. Almost every man has this story or knows someone with the story.

Fiance of 3 years and had a 14 month old baby girl together that I love with all my heart. Started feeling her distancing herself and did everything I can to keep things fresh while still working every day to make us successful. Both of us are supposed to do the same show in may, started fighting constantly as I'd get agitated about how I wasn't feeling the same effort I was putting in and she would yell at me when I didn't let her do whatever the hell she wanted and not just say yes baby to everything. Things just came to a head after working 72 hours last week on top of training and I just wanted to spend some time with her but she'd rather go out with her friends and have me stay home with our daughter, I come home from work and my child and fiance are gone. Saying she's going for full custody. This life, training is all I have left. I don't have the genetics. Got my hand amputated 2 years ago and it doesn't work that great, but I'm still doing this show with or without her. I have to win. Telling myself as much as you guys. It's all I have left.

Girlfriend left me for the guy I disliked most. I knew what he was trying to do. I told her to stop talking to him but she didn’t listen. She broke up w me and went straight to him. I was devastated bc I love very hard, so I was shocked. A year of depression passed and a buddy basically helped me from the ground by showing me the gym. Btw I was a young buck. It’s been 4-5 years, I will never forget the look she had when she saw my physique. I seen that guy recently, twig(I don’t wanna be rude but it’s true) I started working on my fitness, finances and fashion.
I will never let her come back into my life, but I’m so grateful that she did that. Legit character development to the max. So grateful for God, and all my blessings🙏🏼

Was in a relationship for quite a while. Got too comfortable that I lost focus on myself. Was loving the wrong person, I realized I had to love myself more and walk away. Before all the lovey dovey stuff. I had tunnel vision with my gym ethic. She recently left me for someone else. Moral of my story. Focus on yourself. If it’s meant to be she would have never left, no matter the situation. The gym will build character. Stay quiet. Stay Focussed. And grind for whom the bell tolls. I mean, it isn't just working out. Your body needs to be taken care of in many ways. Bringing up the determination to acquire the knowledge about all of that and then executing it takes a lot, knowing you could fail at any time because one of your muscles might tear and then it's all over...

I was dumped for no reason without being able to even say goodbye after 4 years. Broke up with me on the phone after 4 years can you believe it. Regardless of what was the reason, I expected the worst, though she never told me or I never found out and didn't want to find out, I assume she obviously found someone else but didn't tell me to spare me the pain. But when I hear the story of Tom Platz. It motivates me. Because he had much worse, and look what he became. It is sad to say but it helps a lot to see these champions having experienced the pain. After my divorce(I was 26 at that time) I weighed only 63 kilos. Hardcore depression etc. I still remember the day when I first lifted dumbells. I had to move back to my mothers for a while.
Its been 6 years now after my very first training session. Today I weigh 85.- kilos. Physically and mentally Im stronger than ever. Consistensy is the key. You dont get results in one day, one week nor one month. Whatever life throws at you, keep on getting up! Its hard sometimes but I know that you can do it! If I could, you can!

When i was dating my ex girlfriend, i had an offer to do the college in Italy (I'm Brazillian) and it was a huge oportunitty to me. I decide to stay in Brazil, didn't want to leave her cause i was truly in love. 1 month after the decision of staying she breaks up with me, blocked me on every social media and now a friend of mine that follows her told me she dating another guy. Never felt that bad in my entire existence. I lost 11kg of lean mass after the break up and now i'm starting to gain some weight again. Don't know if i'll ever be able to trust a woman again. Thanks Makaveli for showing me that pain is what make bodybuilders, the real champions had to suffer to make their place on the top. Right now i'm transformating all the sadness into motivation and rage to lift iron and get big.

True that, breakups make the builder. Works both ways, I started as a obese teen as an escape from a violent shitty home and the boys in the gym sniggered and laughed at me often those first few months. I felt small and embarrassed and even threw up down myself once I was so unfit. Many sessions in those early days I cried in the locker room and wanted to give up but my belief was stronger that the hurt. In one year I was a fitness instructor and in two competing. I've been competing ever since and this year it'll be 20 years and those same *boys (now men) still try and hit me up, follow me thirsty and didn't accomplish shit. Losers.
