    Makes me think about my years of continuous trauma and adverse situations. I'm 35 and my life has been normal for only 4 years. The rest of my years all had their basic adversities, poverty, depression, debts, all coming from unresolved traumas in the past, a traumatic childhood, later on work related adversities that turned out to be traumatic work environment. For a reward of depression, severe fatigue, huge debts, burnout and homelessness. I've only had a break for 4 years where everything is fine and is as it is supposed to be.

      @@ItCantRainForever2 because I got myself off the streets. Because I got myself almost out of debt. Because I stopped drinking without anything religious. No thanks, I'm convinced that I've build my own self worth, literaly from the forest, the mud, the cold and filthy streets, to a nice homestead with a backyard. I did it all myself. I don't want to give those credits to the mercy of religious deities. This is my spirit's work. Not from God or Jesus.

    I did these after my freeze response got triggered by some traumatic family memories came up. I really works but I felt so tired and drained afterward.

      It is normal to need rest after confronting unprocessed trauma.

    I never yawn, swallow or sigh unless I make it happen. I stayed looking to the side so long my eye hurt & I think I want cross eyed. What am I doing wrong?

      Try in the car. I was sitting in the car and looking at the side mirrors. It worked. It was the first time my body started to relax. Don't drive during the exercise. Probably it helped because I felt so secure in the car.

      You don't always have to yawn, you can find other ways of testing if you're regulating. You can tug your ears before and after and see if there was a difference in tightness. There are more expanded videos on this you can look up that'll walk you through that portion.

    I'm so excited to try this. I had such a problem. I solved it but I feel like I'm kinda cheating. I just started feeding my dogs when my morning alarm goes off. There is no sleeping in with them excited to eat.

    Exercice 2:
    I had 2 really BIG yawns doing it till i teared up. & I kept yawning after the exercice, non stop, till I almost puked.
    Is it a good sign?

    When I try doing the eye exercise, as I look to my right, then to my left, I start to continuously blink and can't seem to be able to control it, I even get the urge to close my eyes for a moment, what does this mean? Apart from this exercise my blinking seems normal but I do have stored trauma and have been highly stressed my whole life ever since I was a child, I'm 38 now. I suffer from insomnia currently. When I do the eye exercise, I'm not able to yawn or anything, just blinking, why is that, is it normal at all? 😢🙄
