    This is such a well done video, you have an exceptional talent for breaking a process down into elemental steps and magnifying the mechanics, and teaching in general. This is very valuable skill applicable to many things. Very nicely executed.

    I think you should explain the head positioning (headmills) so people don't stick it up or bank it on the ground.

      Thank you for reply. I'm 30 and ive been practicing for 3 years , i have a decent handstand, headstand, basic freezes and candlestick but not able to do windmill still, i really want to make that movement, maybe i was late to start dancing. but im gonna practice your great tutorial often. Thank you again.

    im having a hard time getting my legs straight every time im doing ur last drill

    • @theBreakdancingNinja
      @theBreakdancingNinja  8 років тому +1

      It takes training to get it straight. Try pointing your toes, it forces you to think about your legs while doing the drill. When you do these drills you are thinking about keeping your legs straight. It does take time to train your body to that too.

      Because of the time and effort it takes. Learn it one direction, then you judge if its worth learning the other way.

    Old Bboy here.... I developed a completely different way to do it. I might have independently developed an alternative windmill. It looks dope when I do it. Very interesting to see this. Didn't have tutorials back in the day... just learned through tons of practice, battles, and picking tips up on the streets.
    My technique is like pumping one leg at a time like on a swing set, I pull my leg back while it is straight and from the hip socket and try to pull my leg to kick myself in the back of the head.... right when my hip would touch the ground, but I would have my arm folded over so it would make a ram and I would roll up like a ramp over my shoulder... then on the otherside of the rotation I kick my leg forward with the opposite leg. it sounds weird, but it gives me massive power and speed I'm 6 foot 4 and I was able to go really fast, eventually I was finding myself naturally doing Air Trax. Shorter Breakers always had an advantage, and this technique I developed gave me POWER to match their rotations.
    Shout out to ATE crew from Ptown.
    Great Video. Cant wait for the Olympics in 2024. Break Dancing finally finally finally coming!!
