It's 2019 now. Any sign of V2? Would love to see new tech updates included in next video! Subscribed!
Yes please do a 2019 build
Can we get a 2018 200$ setup?
Yes PLEASE!!!!
@@Ryan_VanSlyke Would it be though?
2019 pls
Yeah, I was trying to follow his build stuff and have been getting very confused. Here he is talking about all frsky stuff, but then in his 2018 drone build he links to a setup guide that is all with the flysky radios and receivers.
Nope
I would love to see a 2019 version. Anyone else?
"EDIT 2021" 🤣🤣
"2022???" 👍👍

I'm waiting for it!
Omg yes!! I’ve been searching everywhere
@@applezauc3 haha me too I've had one couple months ago and broke it first flight went on 🔥 smh now need to get a new one.
Nope
GIVEAWAY HAS FINISHED, Congrats to Cathryn Mason-Payne Thanks to everyone for your continued support and I hope you enjoy this video. This is for all you people out there who want to get flying, but just don’t have the $$. I hope it helps you because I worked really hard at finding the right kit and gear that would get you into the hobby as cheaply as we could. If you want to help me, hitting that like button really helps me out. Happy flying everyone.
UAVfutures you're my go to UA-camr.
UAVfutures you are the best!!!
UAVfutures thanks to you i have my first fpv drone (the under 300$ kit)
Love your channel watch every episode. I have 2 high end photography drones but I have absolutely been wanting to get into FPV racing drones and it would be perfect to have this as a starter model to use as a visual tool when building my own, really hope to win this. Thanks again keep up the great content.
I love your reviews and as soon as I get some money together after my stuff was destroyed in a fire I will using your videos to help me choose all my new components! Thank you for all your time and effort!
Wow, can't believe it. This hobby has come a long way, back when I started 5 years ago, with Josh and Josh from Flitetest, I barely saw any quad pilots, now the MMRC group has over 1000 members, and I'm sure its growing very fast. Thanks for the content and the effort you put into these videos, my friend wants to get into drone racing, but being 14 years old has some serious financial limitations :) it'll be awesome if he could get started like this, and then I'll finally have someone to fly with :D
Goooood Daaaaay! So after a long day of work (and a 3 hour train ride home), I turned on my tv, launched UA-cam, and see your video on my screen on how to build a $99 drone. Intrigued, I clicked on it and watched ALL of it. Well...4 hours and countless of videos later, I find myself still completely fascinated and somehow oddly subscribed to your channel! lol
About 2 hours ago, I moved from my tv to my pc---which now has 40 tabs open (across 3 screens) thanks to you--all of which are searching for the components you recommend in your videos to us newbies. You do an amazing job and I would venture to guess you've created many FPV drone hobbyist because of your videos.
Truth be told, I've been looking to get into the hobby for some time but haven't pulled the trigger...until now. Not for monetary reasons (in fact, I hope somebody who really can't afford one wins your giveaway) but mostly due to work and the long hours (not meant as a complaint, I'm very lucky!). Anyway, I hardly ever comment here but I just wanted you to know that I'm buying two drones based on your recommendations. I'm going to give one to my buddy (for his birthday) so we can throw back a couple of cold ones and break a few props! The only question I'm asking myself now is....should I buy two of the BETTER drones, or should I let him "suffer" with the basic one? :)
Keep up the GREAT work!
Sincerely,
Mex
Hey Stew, I'm new to the hobby and I love your videos. Thanks for always giving me tips and tricks. They help me so much
my pleasure mate, welcome to the hobby
For a 200$ complete setup you really cant go wrong! This might be what i need to get into this hobby after a few months of research and watching your vids! cheers
Dean levi do it! you won't regret it. flying them is twice as fun as watching the videos.
This video is great because it gives me an idea of what can be done with small FPV drones. It also really helps with the build with is a great help to understand how the quads work. Shared on twitter.
What's the live feed for this drone look like?
Hey Stu check out the new wizard 220S it looks like every upgrade suggested has been done to it.
David Mulhall do you have any links to it? I would love to check it out.
James Johnson sure thing. check it out here: m.banggood.com/Eachine-Wizard-X220S-FPV-Racer-Omnibus-F4-5_8G-72CH-VTX-30A-Dshot600-800TVL-w-iRangeX-iRX-i6X-RTF-p-1153989.html?rmmds=search
David Mulhall thank you dude! Those upgrades are pretty cool.
James Johnson yeah dude I was just about to buy the wizard myself and on the very night I was about to hit buy I just happened to see it listed, blessed I did I would have been furious with myself for not waiting.
David Mulhall seriously. Great find.
been racing rc cars and planes for 30+ years. Have always had a huge interest in drones and drone racing since it came out. in not one to buy a pre build kit but instead picking components that give me the best bang for the buck.
Your videos have diffently thrust me forward into my infatuation with drones. I've shared your videos with friends to help move them forward with their first builds. Your $99 drone build was amazing! Thank you so much for putting it together and shedding light on how cheap and how easy it is to build a performance drone on a budget.
keep up the fantastic job!!
it would be amazing to get into for FPV drone racing, I think it is awesome what you are doing trying to share the sport with others, I hope when I get into FPV I can share the sport with others as well this build would help me because I don't have the kind of money to get a $500 FPV goggles and a $400 drone and etc, with this Build gives me everything for 200$ that's crazy thanks man for you awesome videos .
same here man, gonna go for this setup as a starter. I have gotten used to those mini quads, now i want to experience the FPV experience with faster drones!
I'm super excited to start this new hobby. And for $200 and some change why not? Also building my own drone and programming everything just makes it that much more rewarding!
I feel the same! Got all my things except my esc as it is coming from a different area and it's a different package. Got my first package in 6 days!!!! I am so excited and waiting impatiently for my esc.
I'm not having any luck getting my motors working, everything has proper voltage?
are ur esc's responding to the fc? Try going into BF and testing the motors from there. If that doesn't work, try flashing ur esc's with newer firmware or even with older.
Really awesome guide, was about to waste 150USD on a box quad with no acro mode or anything, now feeling confident enough to maybe build my own or buy the wizard and set it up! Loved flying things since I was a small kid so this really helps me get into it. Awesome guide. Flying a Syma X11c for over a year now and can't wait to upgrade.
Dayum boi!!! That build is actually $300 on this year 2019
Can we get a 2019 beginner $200 setup please
2020*
I've attempted to really get into to FPV, after spinning over $300 dollars my quad still will not function. If I would've seen this video a month ago I would've been able to be racing as we speak. your videos inspire me and I would love to get one. keep doing what you do.
I have shared many of your videos with my friends. We are all looking into buying racing quads to start a group so that we can all start as beginners but still race.
2019 version plz!!!!!!
I stumbled across the 99$ build like 6 months ago or so and started buying a few parts each paycheck but had to stop because of moving and it's been sitting there staring at me waiting to be completed, I can't wait to finally finish it and start flying, your videos are awesome and I love watching all of them
Thank you for everything I learned so much
Drone racing is seeing some light here in the Philippines and I want to be one of the pioneers in the sport and this kit would definitely get me in that position and more. I've shared this video in the prominent drone racing communities here in the Philippines. I love your videos and this one definitely helped me a lot in terms of starting it out. Your channel would definitely get more subscribers in the future. Thanks a lot and peace out!

Hey if you get this notif from this comment can I join the drone community so I could get some help with my own drone in the future .. cheers
Thanks for the guide, I've been wanting to get into FPV for some years but always felt that it would be too expensive - so I stuck to flying micro drones LOS in my backyard. But now, thanks to you, I might be out of excuses!
I'm a bit confused right now. The chart with the specifics of the motors said, that with 14,8V they would draw more than 20 amps and this exceeds the limits of the ESC. Am I missing something, or should your ESC be bursing in flames?
I was thinking exactly the same. I already ordered the 4x20A AiO ESC, didn't look at the specs beforehand, now I am not sure whether I should order another set of four 30A ESCs or just hope for it not to burst into flames. The 4x20A should be able to handle 25A peak for 10s so hopefully it will be enough.
I will probably just try it out as well
That is at maximum thrust. Since your drone should be drone is far lighter than what those 4 motors can lift at maximum thrust, its likely it'll never come close to 20 amps.
Are you sure that 'maximum thrust' -> 'maximum A peak' is related to the weight of the drone ?
I mean, if you push the thrust lever all the way to the top, we should reach the 23-27A set on the datasheet ?
There is a video on showing someone testing the current draw along with the maximum thrust of the motor at 50% and 100% thrust. He was showing the propeller size has a effect on current draw. Depending on your propeller choice you could keep the current draw under 20A at 100% thrust.
I'm so close to flying, but my i6 wont pick up on beta flight, i cant arm my drone either, channel mapping for the remote is unresponsive, My i6 IS bound to my quad, no doubt, but doesn't seem to be able to control it. I enabled ppm, have it set to serial based receiver and 'ibus', made sure serial rx was checked under UART3, ANY HELP?!
griff simpson same issue
Miscellaneous Master for me the issue was I didn't plug in my rx properly, checks yours, he does a bad job of showing how it's plugged in in the video, just lookup ia6b hookup
Dude could u help me ?
PyroPony my problem was that I plugged in my receiver wrong, it still got power, just 9ligges in wrong, search up ia6b ibus set up
I finally fix the problem wrong wiring
I love how the racing diy quad builds are getting more accessible to the average joe, I love all your videos, keep up the great work. I pretty much got almost everybody at work interested in your videos and fpv.
where do u stack your receiver ?!
doesn't 100% matter
A friend of me is constantly pushing me to buy a drone and I think I will. But he also send me here so here I am hoping to win a drone so I can race my friend.
im only new to the world of drones, i have been playing around with a SYMA X5SW for a while now and i think its time to upgrade. this video has given me the confidence to get right into it, as before hand i honestly thought i would be up for $500+, and assumed the build process was much more complicated, thank you for taking the time to make this video, it has helped me immensely.
First you are super !!!! Second thanks for the give away , third - How this help me ? Easy , I know that I can't afford a more expensive quad and there is no an easier tutorial and better explanation video in UA-cam. Also I have experience flying ,but sadly is from a friend so I don't have my own. Plus I love ❤️ electronics and that is what I want to study and it helps me learn. So best lucks to everyone and me 😂. And thanks to you for your videos. You are the king 👑 of this amazing hobby. Keep up. Thanks mate again for the giveaway and vids.
Banggood is having a lot of discount coupons for this FPV gear to get it even cheaper: sites.google.com/site/discountsbanggood/ Don't miss these deals!
I can't get the motors to spin. I have used the upgrade version. Nothing moves in the receiver tab in Betaflight. I have the fs-ia6 RX not the fs-ia6 and I have heard many people having the same problem. Can anyone help?
Gaming Waterhole did you figure this out? I'm having the same issues.
yes i did. It uses both of the long ports and it uses separate wires. I will have a look later how i found out because we minght have different coloured wires. One piece if advice, make sure all the wires are plugged in properly because my yaw wasn't and it was showing in betaflight as me moving the yaw around crazily.
Dude please help me
I have the same problem can you please help me ...
did you arm the motors?
I've had flying toys all my life. Starting with Christmas helicopters and messing about with them nonstop. As I've got older my interest has only grown for the hobby. But the thing that convinced me that I wanted my own fpv drone was the hubsan x4. Ever since then I've been looking for a way to fly fpv. Lacking the knowledge and resources to build my own ,my love for the hobby has had to live on through the online community. You have been by far the most influential and captivating drone youtuber. I understand you have a huge fan base and if you could give us the equipment all to fly you would but I promise you this drone would not fall into better hands if I were to win! Thanks for the opportunity and keep up the good vids.
2 Days ago i was trying to fix my cheap rc car, witch is broken and i dont know the fi for it, while i surfed around internet i found out that there is fpv drones, i only knew that there are thoes big white drones with thoes go pro cameras and you can se the image on tablet/phone screen... so i ran into one of youre videos where i saw profeshional drone racing, the next second i knew that i was hooked to it, it was so amazing. some time ago i had a litle cheap drone (about 20$) and i was learning how to fly with it, but then one day i tryed to launch with it and the motor systyem was broken... still i dont know how to fix it... if anyone can help me, contact me pls. So back to the fpv drones. I searched around internet how to get one, but i cant decide and im that person who wants to buy it, but don't want to spend money, cause there was so much hard work put into it... but whatching your videos, they prove that race drone racing is so coll! I realy want to get in to racing drone flying, its so cool to fell like a bird! I did read the rules of the giveaway, and i want to practipate into it!
Sory about the mistakes left in text, im from small city Latvia and english is not one of my best things...
No, two of my propelers are much much more weaker than the others (slower)
Check the voltage that is outputed by the controller board to motor, if all motor wires output the same voltage, then thoes motors are broken, but if some wires output smaller voltage than others, then your controller board is broken.
Lauris Peteris Vejs honestly with a $20 drone you are better off trashing it and getting a brushless. I spent about 500 on toys before I made the jump to brushless [wizard x220] and I wish I started with brushless and acro. either way, good luck! happy flying!
If you have some problems with your quad, I'll happily help you. Just reply my comment and explain your problem.
EDIT: I quit FPV and please don't expect any answer, sorry.
First off, My drone wont arm even though all the lights turn on and it makes the same beeps and i did the exact same stuff. secondly, I don't know if i'm just stupid or whats happening, but i have no idea how i'm supposed to connect my drone to betaflight... Do you need a cord or something? Cuz I didnt get one
You have to configure your drone using Betaflight first.
I've built my drone using the $99 video and have used this one to finish the transmitter portion. I have gotten to the point of giving it power and pairing my Tx/Rx. When I plug in the power I get the initial 3 beeps but I don't get the last three beeps and I don't get any response when using the transmitter. Also, after some work, I can get into betaflight and make changes but I've noticed I don't have an option to "calibrate accelerometer", and the virtual drone on the screen doesn't move. Any ideas to help me? Bad parts, missing a step? I'm stuck.
Corey Flemming
It's either bad FC or you flashed the wrong firmware. You have to calibrate your accelerometer on level surface, otherwise it won't arm. Make sure it's level when arming.
New problem, when I type "version" in the cli of betaflight it says i'm running Betaflight/SPRACINGF3 1.12.0 Jan 11 2016. But that isn't a version that betaflight can run
Been resisting the Quad scene since I am a keen fixed wing pilot of many years and always thought it was too expensive. It has been mystery to me how they are put together and work. But after discovering your channel and seeing your build videos has inspired me to give it a go!! Thanks heaps mate for your hard work in making these build videos.
I am keen on getting into the hobby and living in a REMOTE place like Australia makes me think of all the great places i could fly it! Winning the giveaway would surely PROPEL myself into the hobby and get me addicted to flying! Having a hobby like this would stop me DRONING around the house and get me MOTORING towards new adventures! My FRAME of mind would be set to view the world in FIRST PERSON again! Thanks for everything and PROPS to you for the guide i will be putting it to great use very soon :)
Madfellla you would have some epic locations with zero crowds :)
Madfellla sorry but I want to kill myself after reading that!
+Cole Foster 😂😂 please don't my friend
welp gunna go get the noose out again
that 4S battery made ONE 20a x220 esc smoke out and crash dive during a 5ft hover on my 3rd-4th flight.... what happened buddy?
Zach Freeman I think it's hard to say without an OSD telling you either the voltage drop or the current being drawn by the ESCs. It could have been a bad ESC, of course. Do you have the spec sheet for the motors? It should specify the maximum current draw and help you check that it should not exceed the ESC rating.
Well, many of my friends recommended a 3s battery so I'm going 3s
Paul Dann well it’s because the 4s is more powerful and burnt it out. If the drone is built for 3s then you shouldn’t put a 4s in it unless you know it’s safe
You should use a 30A ESC on a 4s battery. The current absorbed by the motor with 4s battery is 27 amps
what is the max range?
Love to know the answer to this question.
Thx
Is this the i6 or i6s?
My friend said it was probably 2km
wow!
When you just bought the 300$ setup ;33333;
Panimioul Feelsbadman
Hands down the best drone video Ive ever seen. I have flown rc for years but have been reluctant to purchase my first fpv setup or purchase my first drone. This video took care of both issues for me. Great job.
Since I could remember technology has been my passion; it really has. The day I discovered drones was the day that passion solidified. I started out, like most people, with relatively inexpensive drones, mini quads, (~$50)and unfortunately have not had the means to successfully enter the drone racing world. There's nothing I want to do now, but race drones and I haven't even had the opportunity to do so. This kit would definitely help me out with the hobby that I know everybody on this channel loves and that I have not had the opportunity to enter for the first 18 years of my life.
I'm about to start college and am looking for a cheap way to get into drone racing for some relaxing. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into the video for people like me.
I've been flying a cheap $20 drone for a while, and some of my friends have been getting into FPV. I'd really like to give it a try, but I'm not sure where to begin. I've shared a lot of your videos with my FPV Friends, and it helps them with their FPV adventures as well. This build has really showed me that you don't need the expensive gear to build a good race drone!
I've watched a couple of your videos, they are great, I'm a beginner looking to have some fun with the hobby, not having to take out loan just to get a drone is great. With all my r/c toys, I'd rather build my own, gives more of an appreciation for the parts and a better feel for for what I'm doing. Thank you for your videos and knowledge of the sport, super fun to watch
Thank you Stu! My 2 sons and myself just ordered 3 Eachine x220's, 3 Eachine VR 007's, 2 Turnigy Evolution's and a Flysky i6s. We have been practicing for a week with a Bugs 3. I watched this video and ordered. You explain everything so well. Thank you again for promoting this sport. Good Day!!!
I am so glad I decided to search for a cheap racing quad video you were the first video that I came across and I could not be happier with your delivery all the parts you uses for in the description unlike other channels I watch and I am just so happy you have made this well made video
Thanks Team UAV, yous have given me confidence in the cheaper gear and I still cant believe the value. Before watching this I thought we had to spend like 700 plus Australian big ones to have a stable, solid, seat of my chair fun. Was umming and arring about starting in this hobby. But I think I'm liking your lifestyle Stew, and I think I might even make some friends and laugh for the first time in years. Depression hits me hard at times then I watch some of you guys or freestyle quad UA-camrs in choice locations and I'm blown away. This looks more fun than drag racing, hooning the streets, taking drugs, eating food, Dreamworld, television, PS4's, Scrabble, the list goes on. I'm now passionate and the cogs are turning rapidly in my head as to what to buy first. Saving slowly, about half way there. Thanks Stew and UAVers :-) From Terry :-)
it is so much fun, before drones I didnt get out much either and just played a lot of video games, but now im out all the time, meeting new people,, making new friends and loving FPV. Welcome to the hobby
Hi Stew
(Hope I spelled it right) I have to say you are the most inspirational FPV flyer with this channel. I am from South Africa where fpv and drone racing is in it's infant shoes. I am building my first ZMR250 and I was carefully watching to see what I need to buy but this video has shown me that with a tight budget you can still enter this hobby and become a good drone racer. I think one of the misconceptions is that cheap cannot be good, but I think in this case the products that you have featured here shows that there are affordable good quality products out there. For beginners like me this is heaven sent!!
I am watching your channel like a hawk and I can honestly say that none of the channels I have subscribed to come close to yours, and your collection of drones is awesome. I am sharing this video with potential guys that could help advancing this hobby here in South Africa. I have two work for you!! You Rock!!!
Kind Regards.
Wimpie.
Awesome videos mate.
My girlfriend bought me a drone for xmas and have been flying it for the past two days.
I have owned a few nitro rc helicopters in the past and the transition to flying the drone was rather easy. I have yet to try FPV, but your video has made me take the plunge.
What had been putting me off was not knowing where to start and what components are required, which motor, speed controller etc would be needed. Your videos have provided enough detail and your description list were really helpful.
Thanks again, now i just have to wait for a bunch of parts to arrive from China
Still working at getting into the hobby, working at finding inexpensive goggles and debating between building my own or getting a pre-built. These look like so much fun!
Thank you so much for the detailed reviews and build videos! I have a Syma X5SW that I started off learning the basics with and I believe I am now ready to build from your videos or buy a Wizard 220s! I just need to figure which is the best option for a beginner!
Your videos have a wealth of knowledge, thank you! Been wanting to get into FPV drones and you've really helped fill in all the questions I've had. Now the only choice is how much to spend and what drone to get.
I just found out about FPV drone stuff and thought it would be far too expensive to start out. I can't tell you how excited I am to have watch this video! $200 is still expensive to me, but is much more approachable. Looking forward to more videos!
This video had helped me because I wanted to get into the hobby and didn't know where to start. I've always had been considering this hobby but was worried about the commitment. Now had finally decided to get into the hobby. My budget was around $200. So I had searched up drone setups under 200.
I have known your channel at least 1 year so far. So when I saw this video and checked it was made by you, I had to check it out. Plus you were a well known UA-camr that made content on drones. So I saw the video and it really helped me out. It would be amazingly awesome if will win the fpv racing setup. I can't really afford a proper high end drone. So this will really help me out. I hope my grammar is all correct. Also nice flite test shirt.
This video is amazing in opening my eyes to how much the industry has changed in the past 4 years. I started, years ago, to get into it by building a tricopter but stopped before it was finished due to funds and college taking up all of my time. Thanks for the opportunity.
This video and your previous one with the bucket drone makes me want to get me and my family into this hobby! Thank you for all you do!!!!!
You have been an inspiration and have got me hooked on FPV drone flying!!! Never knew all this was possible before watching your videos! I can't wait until I get my first build ready to rock! Shared this video on my Twitter feed to help inspire other viewers :). Keep up the excellent work mate!
Please make an update on this for 2021 I really want to get into fpv but don't want to spend loads of money
I'm blown away, only 200 $$?! Waauw bro! Now I want to get FPV drone racing no shit. I already have shown this video to my mom and she says that she will get a kit like this one for my birthday! I can't wait to get it(but my birthday is on the second of October😢)! Nice vid, keep spreading your knowledge!
Update: Wait what?! A giveaway omg sheesh! Your my hero xD
The build has shown me that FPV racing isn't that hard to get into, so I would love to get started. I only got not much money, but now, during vacation, I work for my money. I have shown this vid to my mom😆, and a couple of my friends to haul them over to also buy this. Thanks for doing this, I certainly want to win it.
Have a nice day
wow im new to this. i just flew a drone for the first time today and was about to buy 1 on amazon but thought i should check out some reviews and after an hour of watching i came across ur channel. im so gunna be making one of these thanks for the step by step.
I am already flying but I love your determination to getting people into the hobby and encouraging safety so thank you for this video
Thinking about getting into FPV drones and your videos have been some great information on how to start. This could be a good place to start before spending a ton of money.
just found your channel and by far you have the best info and advise on fpv. im new and hope to get into the hobby soon but would hate to waste money starting off. thanks for the vid i hope most of these parts are still available!!!
Me and my son caught a DRL race on TV at dinner the other night and we were both intrigued. Started searching online and stumbled across your channel and this video and was amazed how inexpensive it would be to get started. This and your $99 Drone Build videos were great. Something in this price range would have me with no second thoughts about letting my son try it out (and lets not kid ourselves i would love it to).
You helped me out in picking the right frame and equipment to get started on some freestyle. I originally got a eachine falcon 180, but I didnt realy like the look all that much and after a bit of getting used to took it appart and im concidering modding its look or just getting the goggles you mention on your video, and also one of the frames which im still to pick. That way I could just use the parts I have like Flight controller, reciever which is the one on the video and my new pdb to build a better drone on a better frame.
Thank you! I have been wanting to get into the hobby for a while now, and just as I was about to give up because I could never find something as cheap and good quality as this, I found this video! Even if I don't win, I will still buy it! Which means you and this video got me into the hobby! Thanks again!
This looks really amazing! I'm just starting to get into fpv drone racing, but its really expensive, which means it is difficult to invest in something that is cheap but good. This video showed me how to make a really good fpv drone, so thank you so much!
I check this kit out it is all worth paying for! Incredible work in putting this together! I wish i could get one of these honestly! Keep up the good work!!!
That putty used as a third hand was a great idea! That is a big help!
Again with another helpful video, all thoose stuff seemed really harder for me.. to get in to the hobby, but it seems so simple now as you are explaining it. Thx!
Awesome! Your builds and guides really help in making building a drone simple and fun! There are so many different parts out there and your videos help me make an informed decision.
Love your vids man! It’s so hard getting stuff shipped to Alaska. Lol thanks for showing how affordable this can be! It’s amazing! And your guide videos are amazingly helpful thanks!
This seems like a really good starter drone. I am very new to flying drones and am excited about. I love how you do these videos and make them easy to understand for new pilots like me. Thank you for doing these and keep up the great work. I will hopefully be building one of my own soon. what goggles would you suggest for somebody that has to wear glasses?
So glad I found this channel. I'll be building my very first FPV drone based on everything in this video, thanks for doing the legwork and compiling the components list as well as showing how it all fits together. Brilliant!
Great video, really into drone racing but never got around of getting one myself. This video was perfectly what I needed to convince myself to take a big step into the the right direction. Happy flying!
I’ve been looking to get into the hobby and finally found a cheap build that convinced me. I’ve been flying it for about 3 months now and it is awesome, I’m hooked. Thanks for the video! Great channel.
PS: cut my finger open first flight, so be careful. It’s not a toy, it has power
prebor55 would u recommend this to a starter or is there a cheaper option out there would be great if I could get flying for under 100. I am a starter so i dont think i could handle the power. Thanks if u see this
kev bradz I would still recommend this to a beginner even with the power. I would suggest trying some fpv simulators first. When I built this, it was the first time I tried fpv and I still haven’t had any major crashes or broken props. Especially if you like building stuff like I do, it was a lot of fun putting together. But a lot of cheap ready to fly racers have come out lately that are really good (UAVfutures has done plenty of review videos, check them out) I hope this helps!
Sorry again but could u give some names of rtf drones including goggles for under 200
Not sure how but I stumbled upon your $99 fpv build but it made me really want to get into it drone racing. Your videos actually cleared up a lot of this missing info. I love how you give options and list EVERYTHING. Sent the video to my brother to try and convince him to give me a little extra money to get some better gear haha
Going to buy the turnigy evolution this weekend and hopefully follow your guide and get it right this time
best of luck mate,
I'm trying to get my own race quad and I cant decide but know thanks to this vid I can narrow it down!
Thank you making this video. My buddy and I have been looking for how to get into the hobby and this is huge.
Just ordered stuff for my first drone! Thanks for the help with these videos. Looking forward to more videos from you as I learn the hobby.
Have been thinking about getting into this for a while now. That sounds like a nice way to start.
thank you Stu!!!! its becous of you that iam super stoked about FPV and all i am seeing is drones cant wait to find one and build it. Thanks again!!!
fantastic. waiting on 100 different packages now. What about upgraded antennae?
Incredibly informative! Thanks for doing alot of the sourcing for me. I cant wait to start putting mine together. Hard to find great videos like this. Im sharing the link on FB and by spreading the word to friends and family. My son will love it! Ill be getting him one soon no doubt.
Been a rc but for years 20 plus cars and planes and helicopters from cheap to the best, this vid has convinced me to get into drones I didn't want a big dji as every man and there dog has one
Oh My God!! I used to build remote airplanes and I always wanted to see what it sees! This is an amazing machine and out of body experience! I can't wait to do this!
With 2021 coming up, I'd love to see an updated version!
Just watched the 100 dollar drone videos and lots of parts are now 404ed!
Hey steq thanks for getting me int fpv. Just got my goggles and props. Just waiting for my wizard x220 and radio.
Love your vids . I have been trying bro keep my self entertained with drones since I was 12 I am now 17 and absolutely love using drones for photography yet I also like speed and adrenaline. What do you recommend
Wow it is 2018 and i am going to buy this set up is this still a great drone i am just starting. I have been going to the park and flying store bought drones. Seen some people come to the park with their race drones and love it can not wait to get one!
I believe drones are the next milestone on developing mesmerizing machines and aircraft. With your tutorials a lot of people can be part of this at an affordable price, which I really appreciate. I would use your give away to learn more about the system, to start a club in my University that teaches people about the future and to simply enjoy my surroundings in a different more exciting perspective. Thank you!
Thanks for the help, I will consider buying this kit, this video has open my mind to racing drones and I will be willing to give it a try.
I like your other videos of how to get into quad racing for $300, and the $100 racing quad video. I've been planning on saving up and buy the radio system, goggles, and building a quad (and 3D print the quad frame to save a few bucks up front). This video opens up even more possibilities for budget quad racing.
Your videos have re-inspired me to try to enter into this hobby, and this build gave me the knowledge on how to do that. I just crashed my mini toy drone, and it is now inoperable, so I would love to get back in the sky with something a little more powerful, and maybe stable
This video really helps me understand more of FPV drove racing! I never seen one before only cheaper drones you have to keep within 100 feet of you! I'd love to fly this with my dad and cousins!!
I have been wanting to get into this hobby for a couple years now but money has always been an issue. It seems now that the prices have dropped and I can get everything I need for $200. Thanks for making this video, it helps a lot.
I have a normal non-racing drone and now that i've seen your video you are making me want to get an FPV racing drone but I don't have enought money. Hope I can get some money this summer to get the kit
Awesome videos! I'm just looking to get into the hobby and your walk through and reviews have been so helpful! This would be a great set to get started with.
