Hey. Fellow DM player here. I'd toss, dark magic attack, bond between teacher and student, majikuriboh, the ritual monsters and a lot of the normal spells. Theyre just really bricky and too situational and when too many situational cards are in hand, theyre not really gonna combo off or see enough play. Id reccomend just the 2 DM, because you never really want to see it in hand originally. I'd reccomend playing 2 secret village, terraforming, 3 judgments, and 3 hand traps of your choice, preferably ash, imperm or droll. Mahad is playable if you dont run so many DM or have other cards to send it to ebon or soul's fodder. I do say though that I love the magicalized fusion and think quintet is underrated, but i just think theres a lot of inconsistencies that are just so situational you dont want t see them or some of your combo pieces are just too under represented where if theyre not with their other half, theyre just gonna sit in hand and better as backrow bait
But I do see the vision. Some other cards I reccomend are skill drain and gozen match. Traps are obviously really slow now, but I think because the main boss monster is a normal beatstick, you want to negate non target monsters for circle to banish them or stop monsters from from stopping your backrow.
Hey man, dig the profile, gonna toss a few things to ya. Up to you if you want to take any advice. I’d personally take it mahad, or if you want to keep him take out DMG. They don’t really help out too much other than for soul servant. I’d suggest to take out illusion magic and maybe advanced ritual art(?) and eye of Timaeus, and toss in terraforming and two secret village. Dragoon plus secret village is nutz. I personally run Red eyes fusions and red eyes, but that’s totes up to you. Also two DMs are just enough in my opinion broski.
Thanks a bunch for the feedback! Yea definitely agreed on taking out Mahad or 1 DMG - I probably would opt for keeping the 3rd DMG since it enables Ebon Illusion Magician's effect, and it's also kept me in the duel when 1 or 2 DMGs got banished. Dragoon plus secret village is a tough board to deal with, I'm actually working on a DMG control deck that revolves around that haha
Why am I just NOW finding out that Dragoon is a Spellcaster?! This isn’t a diss towards you, but my own ineptitude. No wonder I see people recommend Secret Village with Dragoon.
I like your build I've been playing about with similar builds as this too. I think salvation is under used in most DM builds and can be a big help in gaining advantage and using DMG more helps with the draw power and options in extra deck stuff. ❤
@bigsym72 Thanks! Yea salvation really helps with keeping/getting monsters on the field, and there's so much synergy with things like Dark Magical Circle. Also enables getting your big extra deck monsters out
Hmmm good question. I think as long as you activate one of Magikuriboh's effects when one of the conditions are met, it shouldn't miss timing, since both effects are "If" instead of "When". The only situations where Magikuriboh can't activate is: - If your opponent has somehow put restrictions on your summons, like Summon Limit (so you can't use the first effect to summon Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl) - If your opponent has prevented you from using GY effects (so you can't add Magikuriboh back to hand)
