This is honestly a Brisela, Voice of Nightmares deck because that's what I REALLY want to be playing! Enjoy attacking with angels and maybe you can go off with some of the janky combos I've thrown in.

DUUUUDE. I've been looking into angel tribal lately, and here you are! Right on time, man.
You have such cool deck ideas man. I'm working on an artifact token deck inspired by one of your videos from a few months back. I remember wishing there was enough cards to make an Investigate/Clue deck last year, and your idea of combining Clues and Treasures inspired me!
I'm really glad you like the deck techs; I just can't help but brew. I made a version of that artifact token deck ... It's really fun. Enjoy tinkering with the build there are a lot of cool ways to make it your own.
I can't wait to finish it, it definitely looks fun. I'm trying to lean into the jankyness and not worry too much about using the most efficient, staple-like cards. I've definitely borrowed some of the great ideas in your video, but you're right. I've already found a bunch of other cards I want to use that won't make me feel like a dirty plagiarizer!
A buddy of mine had showed interest in turning his 👼 deck into a commander. You have given me (or him) an awesome start to it.
If the ultimate goal is to Meld Brisela, shouldn't tutors for Gisela be a bigger part of the Deck Tech? There are some artifact tutors that could go in this monowhite deck to make sure you get Gisela at some point.

Honestly one of my favourite things about JumboCommander, the very reason I supported you on patron is that you are incredibly enthusiastic and excited about commander and the cards you showcase, it's fun and much more engaging then a lot of other channel. When you get excited about a card, combo or interaction I get excited too! Glad this channel exist as it quickly became my favourite channel about my favourite mtg format.

Imagine Brisela's ability combined with Void Winnower out at the same time. Your opponents can only cast spells with cmc 5,7,9, and so on. That'd shut down SOOO many decks.

Great video as always! I was thinking of an angel deck (mono white or Avacyn). I was always worried about the high CMC cost of angels. The mana ramp cards you mentioned are great. Keep the content coming!
I have an Avacyn deck ... it's much more competitive than this build but angels are so majestic.
Adding demons to the mix (making an angel and demons themed commander deck with a red, black, white wedge) introduces plenty of opportunity to move cards into your graveyard for resummoning later

Winding Canyons seens like it’d be a valuable include in this deck, means that all your angels with etb effects (tapping creatures, resurrecting creatures, the various mill combis can be enabled on the opponents turn). Also means you can flash in your commander and get a free rez on your opponents turn, meaning you can get 2 blockers for free on your opponents turn, two blockers + a combat trick/buff/removal, etc. Just makes your deck a little more flexible in spending it’s mana. Also means you can bait the over extension of your opponent and massively slow down their tempo with your ETBs.
Winding Canyons is one of my favorite cards. I cannot believe it isn't played more. It's ... I just can't tell you. It's on the reserved list too. How is that card not $20?
Honestly not sure, having half of a Prophet of Kruphix on a land is really solid, accessible to every deck, and means a lot of commanders with ETBs become a lot stronger cause they can be used on opponents turn. In all honesty, I usually make proxies for cards I don't have when I play EDH (can't afford to buy cards unfortunately), and I'm really surprised the card's price is that low. It's power level is really high, all things considered. Wish it could come off the reserve list, I'd love to see a card like that in Modern.

I always enjoy watching your deck techs because they get my inner deck brewer excited about new ideas I haven't really considered before. I'll definitely consider this for a mono white commander I would wish to build someday.

Absolutely love angels, and Bruna in particular! (My first commander deck was a Light of Alabaster)
The angels are always just very good cards. I know for sure i'm going to use a few in my eventual Brago deck. I especially like that Subjugator Angel, tapping the whole board is an ability i just really enjoy.
My Brago deck loves Resolute Archangel because who doesn't love returning to 40 life after every combat phase :D
If you like Subjugator Angel, also put a Sunblast Angel to board wipe your opponents every turn. A friend of mine does that, ugh...
I actually have an angel tribal built with Captain Sisay. I built because I wanted to play Brisela, and I knew ramp and card draw would be easier with green. As always, love the videos and your take on these cards.
Sisay is a great commander for this strategy ... I bet she gets Brisesla pretty reliably.
Oh yes. Meldmander is sweet.
Also, as someone who loves flavor wins, I appreciate that you show nice flavor wins even if they are not optimal. Also I'm glad you mention that they are not optimal for people who prefer value over flavor. I obviously prefer flavor since I run minotaur tribal in modern.
I have been looking into making an angel commander deck with Kaalia as the commander, but I might just have to go with a Brisela build instead and save Kaalia for something more broken. This looks like a whole lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!!

Looking at all the random Angel cards I've been hoarding over the years this deck looks like a good home for all of them!
This is very cool. Mono white is a hard one, but at least you get access to a lot of defensive answers.
On a side note, I'm an entomologist. What do you think are the odds of you entertaining an off-meta Insect Tribal with Xira Arien? I didn't want to just stick with Marirek as the commander and call it a day, and I love the idea of some early off color card drawing advantage.
P.S. Thelonite Monk is an insect for our tribal purpose and such an overlooked and fun card.

I have an insect tribal edh deck, it's a blast to play and I've basically built it as Jund Insect-Aristocrats... Insectocrats!
Token swarm, attrition, ashnods alter with dictate/grave pact effects, with a birthing pod chain and a little infect. Playing a Hornet queen + coat of arms is pretty sweet, and I've once managed to kill somebody with Bee sting (4 mana sorcery that deals 2 damage...) one of my favourite casual decks to play

I actually run a bruna angel tribal deck, and it's super fun (if a bit under powered), I run. A few fun humans in the deck too. Odric master tactician and Thalia heretic cathar can help to disrupt your opponents and get your angels through blockers

I've learned that I apparently like flyers in my command decks, built dragons a couple years ago as my first edh deck and upgraded it recently. Been working on angels and now my playgroup is trying to put clipped wings into their decks that have green, haha.
Seems like a lot of fun because angels but maybe not the best deck. Good stuff as always.

I'm looking at building this deck as my next Commander, and I had a question about the Angel of Glory's Rise combo at 17:41 - specifically, its interaction with Banisher Priest. Since Banisher Priest exiles 'target creature an opponent controls', then how do you target AoGR using BP? Is there a rules addendum or clarification that I'm missing? :)
Is it too late to say that banisher priest doesn't work?
Great video as always! While white does have to overcome draw and ramp, it at least does offer a one-sided (hopefully) board wipe like Mass Calcify. That’s still expensive, but you likely want it later in the game to clear a path for your angels. There’s also Crackdown to keep other dangerous creatures tapped down and out of your way.

i have an angel tribal, but it's Boros, with Gissela, Blade of Goldlight, and it's super fun. there isn't much with red, but the warstorm surge and mana barbs really makes it awesome.
I think boros angels is really strong too. I tried a version with Archangel Avacyn that I enjoyed.

Ive always wanted to build Angel tribal, now this tech gave me ideas so I may just build this
These two cards still give me flashbacks. I went to a camp for a summer, which is how I got into magic, and there was this one kid who stole my entire book of good cards. I one hundred percent knew it was him, but I couldn’t do anything about it. Still pisses me off to this day.
I tend to not like mono white decks but the Nahiri deck from 2014 was solid. This deck looks very fun since the humans would show up early then the angels later, LOL kind of like the humans pray and the angels come:P

Secret tech for this deck is Pull from Eternity. That way if they exile the smaller half of your commander, you can get it back.

I was going through my friend's collection one day and I found card called Emancipation Angel, a 3 CMC angel that bounces one of your permanents to your hand on ETB. It got me thinking of Karametra, God of Harvests and how having Karametra as the commander would enable you to ramp into all your expensive angels. With Karametra on board, you could for 1WW, cast E. Angel, rampant growth, bounce E. Angel back to your hand, and repeat. So, yeah, we now have a Karametra, angel tribal deck in our playgroup :)

Looks good, thanks for the deck tech, always interesting to watch! I would have added quicksilver amulet for the bigger angles and sun Titan. 4 mana to get any creature in hand on the field seems pretty good to me.

My 2 cents for Angel tribe deck:
In my playgroup someone is playing a mono white Angel Tribe Deck with Avacyn, Angel of Hope as Commander, and it is really annoying anytime she hits the battlefield (espacilly with Worldslayer) and he runs a lot more mana acceleration then Gauntlet of Power and Manarocks. Extraplanar Lens and Caged Sun helping you paying the high casting cost. Mind's Eye is awesome for carddraw and Urza's Incubator can go a long way.
And while we are at cards, I think, are missing in your Decklist: Luminarch Ascension is a go to in every Angel deck and Mass Mass Calcify can turn into a one sided boardwipe. It seems odd to me that you talk about shuting your Opponents down with Linvala but don't at least mention Iona. She is another insane Angel in Monowhite slow decks.
I play an Angel tribe deck with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight as my commander, Boros seems to be made for a combat centric creature deck and most Angels reach their true potential in combat :)
I recently got into Magic and EDH and Bruna and Gisela would be great cards to have.
Jumbo...you want a combo to just RAMP in mono white? Here is a combo just for you
Sun Titan
Evolving Wilds
Ashnod's Altar
Emaria Shepherd
Basically this is what you need to do to combo it so perfectly
Sacrifice Sun Titan to Altar, get 2 mana
> Then Crack Evolving Wilds and get a plains
> Emaria Shepherd triggers for the plains > Get back Sun Titan
> Sun Titan Triggers > Get back Evolving Wilds > Repeat
Basically this combo can get you ALL the plains in your deck into play
I feel like the Myriad Sword would be right up your alley w/ some of your ETB creatures. Even though you wouldn't get the attacking copies if they were bruna, you still get the ETB effects from the copies so you could bring back a bunch of angels/humans or whatever other abilities you want triggered from ETB.
I love that sword. It does get blown up a lot in my playgroup ... well, every playgroup. but when it does go off OOOhhh boy!
huh i mean it should but I have never had someone target it for destruction. Even when I put it on Hydra Omnivore (which is easily the grossest creature to give Myriad to)

That is a deck you can pull off with mono white. A hard task but done beautifully.

I have often thought about building sonething for Brisela. It's a bit anti-thematic though to have your glorious flight of Angels be commanded by an Eldrazi clusterfuck...^^

I was looking to make a mono white angels deck for my gf just getting into magic so this was perfect.
Brisela is my favorite creature and the first commander deck I tried building on my own, love to win a foil copy! Either way good luck to everyone on the giveaway though.

Entirely random but what if you decided to make a change to this and throw in one of the sigarda's as the commander instead and have bruna and gisela in it? Would you think thatd make it any better or worse or just overall more complicated to do?

I'm building something similar to this, but I'm taking a angels and eldrazi focus. There are many of both types with abilities that cripple opponents. Linvala, Void Winnower, Iona, and so on make it hard for opponents to do things. If course, CMC is high, so including every board wipe is a must.

With your GY craziness, I might also say Land Tax for discard/return to battlefield shenanigans
Seems like you could use Teferi Protection to protect the combo. Phase Out win next turn as long as they don't drop an annihilator on you or infect you can win.

Dj, how would you update this deck with some of the newer cards from modern horizons and when it hits lgs', modern 20? I have a Bruna list but am having trouble getting it just right.
