I've been using MH paints for about a year now and I must admit they really are as good as you described. The main feature I found really drew me to them is their buttery consistency which makes colour mixing much less of a fight! There are also more expensive paints out there, so I do feel they offer good value for money for quite exceptional paints.
I’ve recently begun to invest in MH paints and the quality is exceptional. It’s also really hard to resist all the beautiful colours they have! Self control!!
I love the pigment load in Michael Harding paint. His watercolor line is equally pigmented. Now is a good time to buy the oil line, as several online retailers have them on sale. Thanks for sharing🙂
Thank you for this review. I have some Michael Harding paints but when used with other manufacturers' paints, I haven't been able to really determine how much I like them. I now see how I could more effectively test new paints. My only problem is I could almost start my own paint store! One brand I found, so far, that is excellent for pigment load is Old Holland. So expensive tho. But when I have one of their pigments on the pallette, I know I'll have to use less OH to more other brand. That said, my OH colors are cad yellows and white, so this isn't an adequate review by any means.
Yes OH is excellent. I do find them a little stiffer than MH, so I add a few drops of linseed oil to the OH paint to get them buttery. Other than that you cannot go wrong with them. Just budget I guess 😊
Well, what a coincidence. Your old review of this box set was seven years ago, and this "new" one is seven days ago. I was disappointed you used the old footage, but I guess you did add a little more opinion to it. :)

Agreed on all you say. Rembrandt are competitive on price though.

Excellent review! Love his paints, along with Williamsburg, Blue ridge, Charvins

It needed a revamp and old videos cannot be replaced so here we are.

Unbelievable quality. You just have to be careful not to get it on your hands as it’s so pigmented - it gets everywhere!
