Was it a "captains" license or a proper one, I did my Yacht masters course 40 years ago back then we had to be pretty good at celestial Navigation to pass and certainly we had to master compass and dead reckoning also Chart reading with modern equipment almost obsolete skills, good to had in the background though. I have an AP on my phone that's better than I ever was it cost 8 bucks.

What filament are you using?
PLA
I’d go with PEGT, you will find the PLA is not very strong.
PEGT is just as easy to print with, just have to use a little higher temperatures.
220c on the nozzle and 65 on the bed.
It’s a LOT stronger than PLA.
ABS is the strongest but it produces toxic fumes, I just don’t want to mess with that.
No toxic fumes from PEGT.
