Have a good time with your first game jam! Beware that "Game Jam Hell" could be a trap as much as Tutorial Hell, even if it's less talked about.
It's super tempting to go on fresh new ideas instead of debugging/polishing your current projects, and game jams are a perfect excuse for that.

This is a pretty polished video for such a small channel. What a good find and also interesting insights

There's so much I want to learn. Unreal C++ is powerful, but there's a lot going on. I also want to learn Blender to make my own models and animations in the future.

Lots of fun things to learn... but they can be a distractions.
I try to learn one thing I find boring/frustrating every day, then I let my curiosity go wild :D
Its surprising how much fun learning about memory allocation can be when you dive into a rabbit hole afterwards :D

you can do it! It may be hard at first but you'll feel things begin to click once you get into the rhythm of things!

Just put 70 hours into learning 2d in Godot. Love that engine. Been a blast.

Wrapping your head around signals as a concept is a big leap :) and once you are familiar with the concept, it's only a tiny step from there to make your own, initializing them just like a var, and emitting them when you need to communicate anything up the tree, including values or whole objects - in case you need a signal that isn't already build-in like the collision-related ones
I wonder if you started keeping score with an autoloaded Global var - that was another game changer for me when I got introduced to those :)

Good luck with your endeavors, however. What you especially learned is that you will not earn enough money with your games, unless you strike gold.
Thomas brush needs the course to live his extravagant lifestyle: Getting a 5000K electric bike, buy 24 acres of land, buying houses. He sells the indie game dream via his course.
In all hope you have spend 50% of his 1K course. Please note that EVERYTHING in that course is available for free by true professionals not salesmen.
    my 2 cents.

What extravagant lifestyle? Give me the deets! :D

Why does learning to programme always come down to making money :/ Sometimes you just want to learn a skill, without setting out to strike gold.
Where in this video is a paid course even mentioned? -- and even if someone does pay for a course, so what if the person who sold the course has a nice lifestyle.
Their lifestyle doesn't matter, what matters is if you found the course valuable to your learning journey.
