Thank you Frank. An absolutely invaluable document of the early days of preservation. 1466 is one of my favorites, especially loved films of her going up to Wallingford in ‘68. I was born 40 odd years after this, I can’t imagine the rush of buying a locomotive from BR and just throwing a fire in it. Thanks to all those of the Great Western Society for all they contribute to the modern Didcot base. Those days in 1964 seem a whole lot brighter.
