I had the great pleasure and the experience of a lifetime to have flown in this beauty in August 2017 thanks to a great friend treating Me to a very special day...words could not Express the experience...the sheer power is just amazing...
If you're visiting Ontario, Canada, do go to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Mt. Hope airport, near Hamilton. A great museum and you can see the Lancaster VRA.
yep. great museum and helpful staff. I was there in 2014, just before 'VERA' left for her UK tour, attending many displays with the RAF 'Thumper' . It was great to be able to be right up close to her, looking up at the open bomb doors and touch.
We got our wish in 2015/2016/2017.... Though I missed seeing them at Duxford, I saw the just as mighty, twice as sexy Avro Vulcan, which was more than a fair trade! I still remember the roars of the demon like plane to this day. What a crazy crying shame she is no longer flying.....

Only one thing sounds better than a Merlin on full chat - 4 of 'em!
Absolutely.
Fantastic! If only our British Lanc could pair up for a flypast one season. What a sight that would be!

Wow.. Just Wow.
VA 42 Virginia Beach Airport. 4845 ft x 190 ft turf runway. No problem for a lightly loaded Lancaster. They've had B-17's there as well.
Nice atmosfere.
Seems like a small airport. Dangerous no, for possible engine failure?
SAWEEEET!
