This game is so ahead of its time. Big open maps, so many places to grind and skate, storyline and plot, great characters. If it came out today it’d be a hit
Thankfully bomb rush cyberfunk should bring a lot of attention to it as it deserves!

Graffiti Souls in Kibogaoka when I was a kid were a damn nightmare.
Fwuffycat oh yeah, the kibogaoka souls were ridiculous to find, but honestly if you can do other levels before this one it'll make your life easier

I could never do it, I'm 17 now and gonna get out my xbox over summer and my goal is to get 100% in everything.
The first time I completed JSRF, I was somewhat weak at the game. The way I beat it was by remembering watching my brother complete the game and watching yayodelariva vids. Now, I'm pretty aggressive at the game. I'm pretty sure anyone can beat me, but I was pretty impressed with myself when I beat my brother (he's not so easy to compete with, just saying)
This video is put together incredibly well. Because of this video, I began playing it again after 10+ years and beat it. My 12 year old self would be unexplainable proud. Thank you.

Video randomly popped up on my feed, but I’m not even mad I have so much love for this game, especially beat. Zero beat was nice af too. Definitely engraved deep in my childhood and my life.
I recently just found my xbox and found this game i found old save file with like 46:00 timing on it and i had every character and everything all graffiti covered by cops an all. I made a new save file rebeat the game and jeez was it fun.
I fell in love with this game when I was but a bean sprout, so it warms my heart to see love for it even today

Man, there's something about this game and its music that touches my soul. For me, it just generally takes me back to a sweet time in my life that is so far past in my rearview mirror that sometimes I trick myself into thinking it wasn't real.
I was a senior in high school in 2002/2003 school year. I would go straight to the xbox- the original, and grind away at this game for hours. I was lonely, and have truly always been behind things in my life. And so there are times where I regret wasting time throughout periods of my life. Gaming has been many of those times. It has fallen by the wayside for me as an adult as I do adult things now: work. worry. pay bills till I can't see straight. You just end feeling indifferent about any and everything in life. nothing is new and exciting. If you're a young person watching this.. just take it from a tired traveler who is telling you from a few miles ahead down the road; you are experiencing the best part of your life right now. Be aware of that so that you can consciously enjoy the glory that it is while you're in it.
This game, to me will never be something that is touched by that menacing indifference that I just mentioned. To me, this game is sacred, in a weird and quietly nerdy way. I know it's just a game. But its not just a game. its something that hung out with me when many people wouldn't/didn't. Its something I did to kill some time while mom cooked. It was where I blew off steam after my first breakup, or my last school fight.
If when I died, I could walk through my life like a museum, this game would be something of a Mona Lisa on a wall.

Great video! I remember this taking me weeks to accomplish. This vid would've helped me out a lot… Oooohhh weeeelll.
When it comes to choosing a character though, the only stat that is useful for the street challenges are "cornering".
So using Gum, then unlocking Love Shockers or Immortals is the most optimal.
For the test runs you want "acceleration" as well as "cornering". And for jet graffiti, "spray" is useful too. "Graffiti" can be useful.
So Love, Immortals or pots for jet graffiti, and Love or Immortals for jet dash and jet flag.
No stats affect your grinding speed or how fast you can do tricks, so use whoever for jet tech.

I just found Cube to have better timings in terms of Y-grinding but you're right, most of the stats are arbitrary

Back then I was still learning english and somehow I managed to unlock all the characters on my own. I miss this game so much❤

for the chuo special challenge, slow down (but not too much) on the first rail. Then you can do as many tricks as you like on all the other rails

very nice video! when watching this back i noticed the highway zero times listed were 1:06 jet graffiti and 2.5 million jet tech both are faster / better than the world record haha (unless you have some strategies we don't know about). this video was otherwise very easy to follow

FalseProof This video is very well done!!! You should do more tips and trick videos on newer and popular games. Like Outlast 2 (coming out soon) and Overwatch. JSRF is by far my favorite game ever, but I have faith that you can be a successful UA-camr like Markiplier if you did did more common games. Don't get me wrong, I love all the games you play and so do many others, but many gamers don't know games like JSRF, so if you played newer, more common games and did videos like this and walkthroughs then you can make the JSRF fanbase bigger and possibly convince Sega into making a new JSRF game... Which would be so flippin amazing to me, but this video showed me so much potential for you as a UA-camr. GREAT JOB!!!

1. It's usually pretty lax especially since JSRF is an older game. The game's composer promotes videos like this so I'm sure he has no problem with the use of music since it fits the narrative & video style

Hella Bandz one whole grind that equals 110000 points. Y tricks are your best friend for that one.

Fun fact is I see through the comments and people complaining how they didn't know how to unlock zero beat and I unlocked it but didn't know how hahahaha, but the one I wanted was bad yoyo:(

Budderluvr it’s just past the long power lines, there’s a small platform on the left side just above the water that has the mystery tape
SEGA was given two proposals for Jet Set Radio, one was even requested by Sony, is there any reason why they're so reluctant to make more Jet Set Radio games?

Platforms are not working for me. Did the run successfully 8 times and no soul spawned in. All other challenges are done though. Anything I'm doing wrong??
You'll want to start near the side platforms close to the Garage-Shibuya entrance, close to where you finish up the run to unlock Combo.
