Looks so yum, i remember going to are Chinese restaurant that we loved and i always got egg drop soup

Ingredients
2 large eggs
3 cups chicken/vegetable stock
1 green onion
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp cold water
¾ tsp salt (gradually add to your taste)
½ tsp white pepper (gradually add to your taste)
1 tsp sesame oil
Step 1
Wash and chop a green onion. Divide the white part and the green part into 2 piles. Set aside.
Step 2
Crack 2 large eggs in a bowl, beat until smooth. Set aside.
Step 3
Add 2 tbsps of cornstarch and 3 tbsps of cold water to a small bowl, stir until smooth. Set aside.
Step 4
Pour 3 cups of vegetable/chicken stock to a pot. Add the white part of the green onion to the pot. Cook over high heat until simmering.
Step 5
Use a ladle to drizzle the egg to the soup by drawing clockwise circles above the pot. Repeat until you use all the beaten egg.
Step 6

Add salt, white pepper, and sesame oil to the soup. Gently stir until dissolved.
Step 8
Transfer to a soup bowl. Garnish with green part of the green onion.

When I was a kid I used to hang out with my dad at work, and there was a Chinese restaurant next door I used to love going to. The lady who owned the restaurant was so wonderful and treated me like her own daughter. She would give me egg drop soup and these amazing scallion buns and sit down with me while I ate and talk with me. Her food was so good I still daydream about it all these years later, and every time I eat egg drop soup I always think of her. I guess you could say that egg drop soup was my first comfort food 🥺🥰 Ms Shi if you could also teach me how to make crispy scallion buns I would really appreciate it! I haven’t been able to find them anywhere else since then.

Im white and native but i like making the same with potstickers and dumplings in it. It takes awhile but worth it. Meats are easy to put on the side and you will sleep all winter
You can use a lot of mixes of Asian, eastern European, and Germanic/Scandinavian foods together. Cheap, maybe a lot of work, and healthy but the best comfort food other than southern food that is way less healthy but still always so good too
