Watching this afternoon I was wondering if tournament organizers disabled the hog line violation lights on the rocks but didn’t hear anything from the announcers, glad you included it your video. Unfortunate for the teams which were assessed hog line violations, it certainly impacted a number of games. Shame on the tournament organizers for not checking this prior to the start of play.
Honestly multiple of them did look like violations anyway. After releasing, the stone's handle twists around and hits their hand - 2 times in this video I saw that
Shame that this issue caused so many games to end up less competitive due to the dumb lights. I hate the lights. It’s so rare that a player releases late anyway.
Announcers (especially Cathy) assumed it was the players, including the NS team which was stated by Cathy ‘they aren’t used to good ice that this in NS’. Well here ya go.

Cathy is always negative, even when she’s wrong she’s right eh? Sigh
