I started pin striping about 2 years ago. I’m 64. I always wanted to learn this art form. I love it. It does take time to develop the muscle memory and palleting the paint is super important.
Im 65 and am planning on learning 3 things in this new year 2024 . Welding , pinstriping and Building a Surfboard/ fiberglass stuff . Never to old ti keep expanding my mind . 2nd thing is that its expensive in a lot of ways but i budget stuff cuz i have to . Wish me luck and any advice welcomed sir . Great Video BTW !!!
A lot of young people are getting into this art form . You can make a living doing this if you’re good enough. Lettering and gold leafing as well. Learn it all of you can. I wish I had done this when I was younger
Very wise young.man, two excellent hobbies/passion can often be monetized, tho the legacy of the art itself being upheld and maintained for his lifetime is an awesome benefit on many levels.
If memory serves, Dutch's father was a sign painter. For you younger folks, back then everything was painted by hand. My own grandfather was employed as a child on a Ford assembly line to pinstripe wheels.

Awesome skills to learn. I've started learning to forge and leather work myself. Last year it was metal working.
