WoW! I've watched what seems like a 1,000 videos with anything to do with brushes, paint, etc over the last few years. This is, by far, the absolute best explanation of brush types, use and care that I have seen yet. Honestly, I don't think that the subject could've been covered any better! Thanks for taking the time to create this and share your knowledge and experience. Great job Tom!!
The lettering practice sheets are great! I'll be ordering the scroll sheets next. I like how tough they are. Even if the paint starts to dry, you can just scrub it off with mineral spirits and a micro-fiber towel. Awesome stuff! 👍
Awesome man, thanks for the advice! When I hold my sword brush with the wood side facing left, it looks like my brush is upside down. I just ordered a kit from you so I’m excited to try more!
First thanks for the video everything was explained so well, I've been lettering signs and custom painting on cars/ motorcycles etc. sense the early 70's part time and very few pin striping except where needed on my work, now I'm retired and I still do some sign or small custom paint jobs and now there are so many new brushes for striping, scrolling and I've watched many you tune video's and it always seems they show you the brush there using BUT no one gives the size, when I do lettering I can use sizes 2 or even 12 quills. So in your demo what sizes were you using to pin strip/ scroll?. Thanks: Signs by: Tom
can do a video on scroll work as if it was on the car door, how would you hold your hand, ty for your info, I ordered a starter kit, will keep in touch, Mitch
Just have to grab a brush, some paint, reducer, oil and something to practice on.. that’s it!! Anyone can start! If you need help just email me at Tom.tntcustompaint@gmail
hi. i have an idea.... ive seen beautiful amazing multi color pinstriping. please make practice panels for multi color line work. looks too complicated seeing them be able to follow each step and very confusing. thanks
I actually do have 2nd color designs on the pinstripe practice sheets for both dagger and scrolling as well as a drop shadow sheet in the lettering set 🤙🏽

This is a great video but I have a question the practice sheets do they get opaque from wiping them down with the solvents
Not at all and I use them all the time personally and during live classes. Still good as new 🤙🏽
