Great video! I didn’t know about the fast dodge tip. I’ll have to give that a try! One trick I learned with Prime Mode is that you can use Disorder to skip directly to the third swing in the hold square combo, the one that triggers the stronger buff. Just use Disorder from Operator Mode and hold square immediately. You can tie that into a combo on a staggered enemy to land a buffed Braver from the air: Disorder -> Hold Square -> Disorder -> Braver
Ay that's insane. So in prime you can get the Fury stat straight away from the disorder->combo? That is very useful. Especially cause at the end of prime combo you get basically half an ATB charge too, combine that with plasma discharge and you'll give the enemies PSTD or something
Haha, well instead if individual guides I'm doing a big one containing all other characters, but just focusing on the advanced stuff as a lot of people know the core gameplay already. Should be out pretty soon :)
Hating on Remakes combat makes some sense, because there was quite a bit wrong with it and materia did feel very limited within the style it was, however it was still a very good way to play the game. Rebirth made everything wrong with Remakes combat perfect, from aerial combat, to dual materia to save space for other spells. More abilities, Synergy, and all kinds of mechanics. People can hate, but just gives me so much more excitement until the next instalment of the trilogy. If you don't like the combat, being the main component of an action RPG, just don't play the games lol
@@nephlem_ The thing is I HAVE to play it. I'm 45 and ff7 is my game. Halfway through the vid I knew I won't memorize half of what you said. Also it isn't logical. What is the priority for actions for each character. When you play an mmo you can right down a formula like a>c>d>b. With this system playing 3 chars only priority I see is avoiding dmg and building stagger. Limits and synergy skills can make you invincible so... sit on them until stagger or use them defensively? What are summon now? In remake they only made sense for elemental weaknesses. And in og they where THE main aoe attack. While you're guide is the most comprehensive I've seen. It doesn't say how to start fights and what to do in them.
@@wmen48 I see what you mean now. I mean first of all you shouldnt be playing it like mmo combat. This is more free form, there is no rotation. The options the game give you all work. Assess first of all, have a general idea what you need to do for the gimmick at hand. Make use of your synergy skills, they are OP, they help you build ATB fast. Once you have ATB you can literally do anything you want. From that point it's all about doing cool shit. You can choose to beat the fights as boring as you want by spamming the same attack patterns and using the same ATB abilities over and over. OR you can choose to style on them, switch back and forth btwn party members, lining up attacks post stagger, etc. Obviously this is for normal/dynamic mode. Hard mode is another topic.

ITS FINALLY HERE!!!
I KNOW, ITS ABOUT TIME 😂
Bro I have 230 hours in the game and I didn't know some of this smh
Your welcome 😂 use it for part 3
Perfect block in this game: yea I'll work when I want to mate.
Lol, can be hard sometimes but Precision Defence Focus can extend the input window quite massively, still can be a pain tho for harder fights
God I hate what they did with the combat system
why are you even here
Because they perfected it?
