I've met Corey twice after Adelaide Soundwave at the airport. He wasn't just sign, take picture, try and escape, he stood there with me and a friend, and we talked about Star Wars for like 10 minutes. A girl (i'm assuming his wife?) came up to us and told Corey that they had to get through the gate to the plane. He told her, and I quote: "WAIT!! Can't you see we're talking about Star Wars?!"
I have never met anyone so genuine, caring, and kind to his fans. It was like talking to an actual friend.
Like Slipknot or not, Corey is a hell of a guy.
He seems like that kind of guy.
I along with my wife and 3 young kids met him outside West Edmonton mall the day before their show in October. He was with his wife and kid and not only graced us with a picture but talked with us. They are so kind and seem like such amazing people. It was of course an amazing show too!

Danny The Jester Sid set Corey on fire in the first album. It was a show they were doing and he just did that. Then the album after, Iowa, he spit on him. So it there was like a 2 year difference between the two.
Destiny_Is_ My_Chemical_Romance Ok, so Sid before the Iowa London Arena show in 2002 was told NOT to do any stage dives multiple times. Guess what he did during the first song. He did a stage dive. And he lost his camera. So Corey got pissed. And then the clip happened.

He is a great guy, I love him but I see why somebody wouldn't. He is a loud, short guy with thick neck, he talks a lot and can be annoying sometimes. And he is everywhere (since he does a lot of interviews and collabs with a lot of musicians, is part of multiple projects etc)
When they person judging doesn't really understand the music so they misjudge the artist. Simple explanation really but it's only a reflection of the person judging what they don't understand.

+ApachE the disasterpieces dvd. sid went into the crowd for spit it out. the crowd literally tore him apart. most members had camers attached to their masks (some on guitars) so you could watch the dvd from their pov. sids camera got knocked off his mask. corey yelling at him was a hidden scene on the dvd. theres another hidden scene at the end of the dvd where they ask the crowd to find the camera, whoever finds it gets to come backstage. 2 women find it and get to meet sid after the show backstage.
Say what you will about Slipknot, their music, their image, Corey Taylor is one of the nicest, emotive, real, open, and coolest human beings on this planet. I've not seen an interview where he wasn't respectful, humorous, open and honest, and just a very good human being.

If you want to know what the, masks or other imagery they use, mean then ask a question relating to that. I imagine it's quite frustrating being interviewed by lazy interviewer's who can't even string together a genuine question, but maybe she was just nervous.
The interviewer is, from what I heard, Dutch and Dutch people are in general not THAT good in English. So it's more a language issue :P

I fucking love Corey Taylor, man. He is genuinely one of the best people I have ever met. He did the most epic jump the fuck up ever (i witnessed a slipknot jump the fuck up at my first concert, was fucking awesome), yet he has a soft side, and we all fucking love him for it. Paul took a toll on all of us, and I remember him breaking down in the middle of snuff, when he did the acoustic tribute (again, was there, was fucking heartbreaking). And he's such a friendly dude, like seriously, i chatted to him for at least 30 minutes and it was one of the best 30 minutes of my life. got to meet my hero, turns out my hero is even more fucking awesome than i could ever possibly imagine, and he likes chatting to his fans :D What a fucking awesome dude.

Welp, the "remembering Paul" part got me, as it always does.
4:37 I was there, Metaltown 2009, Gothenburg, Sweden. I remember this big ass bridge which was located just outside the festival area. Loads of people who couldn't get inside chose to watch the show from there. After the show was done local authorities had to temporarily close the bridge to check for eventual damage which might have occured due to the people who had been jumping on the bridge to Slipknot's show.

While recording Iowa they were not getting along at all.
Iowa is still my favorite album from them
Carlo Vargas although they weren’t acting they weren’t really that mad at each other. Corey and a couple other band mates told sid that he could not stage dive with the camera attached to his head (for the dvd) because he would lose it. sid being sid he did it anyway and Corey was kinda mad. This doesn’t really sum up Iowa but is still one of the built up aggression moments of that period
Corey just seems like such a down-to-earth guy, he’s so chill and I love his sense of humour… definitely one of the best frontmen in modern rock/metal

I'm not really a Slipknot fan, but that last part, you can't not love that.
I am a 14 year old teenager with a shit ton of mental health problems and anger issues. I found out about slipknot in the psych ward after 3 suicide attempts from a guy who was there for some bipolar stuff. I was 12 and he was 18 at the time. I was not ready to leave the hospital when I did so coming back home was quite hard. That guy in there was my best friend. When I left I was mad. Mad at the world. Mad at my parents. Mad at myself. Mad at the situation I was in. I was just mad. I thought about that guy for a few hours after I left and I remembered that he said slipknot was one of his favorite bands. So, as I didn't have a "real phone" at the time, I pulled up youtube on my flip phone and typed in slipknot. I clicked on the "official music videos" playlist and I just listened. The first song I listened to was Nero Forte.
Let's just say for the sake of time that slipknot is the reason I am still here today. My mental health is a little better, my hospital friend is in rehab getting help, I am 1 year and almost 3 months (it'll be 3 months on 2/22/22) self harm free.
I went to my first slipknot concert on 10/23/21 and I had the best time of my life.
Thank you, slipknot for saving me and being there for me when no one else was.

I used to hate Slipknot...but for the wrong reasons, their fans...I knew a guy who had a very shitty band who tried to be like Slipknot, and I think I hate them for that, but actually I think even Slipknot have become mature with their sound and image, I'm going to Knotfest next weekend to see them, and I'm actually very excited!
How was it for you? I was there man and it made me a fan. I hated slipknot, and really went for Slayer, but now I think they're one of my favorite bands now.
I loved Slipknot pretty early on, but their obsessive fans can be absolutely awful. Even when I was like 13, I didn't want to be lumped in with _those_ fans.

I met Corey and the rest of the band at ‘Tattoo The Earth’ here in Detroit wayyyy back in 9th grade (1999) and they he was one of the coolest guys ever. Drank a beer with me and it was the first time I ever seen any of them without their masks on! Unforgettable day for sure
