I can't believe he did not address the front of the car to change that. That should not have made it to production. Everybody was asleep at the wheel to let that get out looking like a dead fish.

@@LiquorHunter I don't thonk good is the best eord to describe DC designs. We were doing some "research" of DC's modifications. Most of them are trash. I would prefer shitty homemade mods as they look more refined than DC's buckets of vomit thrown at cars.

This car and the Aston Martin Vantage remind me of a vaccum cleaner for some reason. Also the rear is so long it could even house a V16 with room to spare for a helicopter landing pad.
Man. I would just hide a faster car in the rear end, so it becomes the fastest Sleeper in India.

They have actually released a "2020" model of this car, while it does look much better than this car especially from the rear 😂, it still has some problems. Could you look at that too?
For a small manufacturer that makes luxury vanity vans and buses, they did a decent job in the front but looked absolutely horrendous from rear.

I love your work and I agree with you, it does need a redesign ...... but I don't agree with the way you did it. You just basically made it fit the mold that every sports car designer runs to.
Could you modernize the McLaren F1? It's a gorgeous car already, but I'd like to see it with some more contemporary styling.

Look for the Liberty Walk inspired McLaren F1 kit, that basically modernizes it with a new rear and front end.

Great redesign as usual. The original Avanti looked like a kit car made from a GT86 or BRZ. The design had the same problems as the Fenyr, but worse, and you fixed them. Bravo.
As a person from India, I can say that although it looks ugly, it's still (slightly) better-looking than a Tata Nano.

For me the first problem was the ride height and the moment he added those black skirts the car just looked more planted and much better. The 2nd is the rear end, it really just looks its carrying to much weight on the back and its about to break so good job man

So glad you picked this car! DC is quite a well known car designer that modifies stock cars into something decent for the most part i would say (google his redesigns, he does better with interior than exterior), but when i saw the avanti my brain just exploded thinking that this is the only sports car we get in india and it looks like it was drawn by an 8 year old. I love the redesign and watch quite a lot of your videos! I'd like to see maybe a few more of your redesigns particularly classic indian cars like the hm ambassador or the premier padmini. Just a video idea for all your Indian viewers like myself :D India is not well known for particularly beautiful cars but i would love to see your redesigns on them! Ugliest thing ever
If one just moved the sharp line over the rear wheels forward a bit (on the original design) that already lifts the 'heaviness' of the 'baby diaper' feel in the rear. Your shortening of the rear overhang and the removal of the 'hunch back' on the engine cover makes it all more balanced. Great job!

I was a kid who was really interested in cars then, and when i heard about a "supercar" being designed and made in my country, i knew it wouldn't be a performance beast that could compete with the world's finest. But i was hoping to see something that pleases the eye at least.
Also i grew up drawing and sketching car designs, and I'm pretty sure that my old middle school notebooks have random sketches that look better than this car, and I'm not even very good at sketching :p

I am an Indian, and when this car was unveiled by DC [ Dilip Chabbria- a renowned car customiser ] it did got a lot of hatred, obviously, but if you want to see a full development true INDIAN hypercar then it is 'Vazirani Shul' which was showcased in 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and will be unveiled in 2021.
The DC avanti was designed and brought in the market by Dc motors and this was their first car. They are not That experienced in making cars. They just modify cars and they went and made this car. As per their first car. This is appreciable.

Big improvement. Now it looks more like Italdesign from the early 2000's
The redesign made a giant difference, it looks way more grounded in a way that you could actually take it seriously compared to the original.
I see that DC has tried to combine design elements of Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren in one car but couldn't execute that with proper harmony. I loved your redesign.
As an Indian, I feel that Indian designers can get inspired by some of the Indian art movements to make something truly unique.
Edit - Another thing that I have noticed is that this supercar has had to compromise on certain design aspects to make itself road legal in India. Road legality legislation in India is very outdated and not friendly for auto enthusiasts.
