The D3 probably doesnt have the latest TC software that the D4 did,you may be able to install it.It makes a huge difference. The last of the D4's were also better than the earlier model run.Our D4 was brilliant on hills like that.
Gday Paul, not sure i could update any software because I've got the base model S with no special modes? I love the Disco 3 the way she is anyhow 😁 Hope you enjoy the videos mate
@@AustralianRuralAdventures Geez mate that d 3 of yours does very well considering.. You cant tell how steep this is until you see the 4wds trying to go up it really, even with your cuts at the start it you did show how steep it was but yeah simply watching the 4wd's try and climb it showed really the angle. I think you'll smash it in the Adventra 😁 Especially if you hit it with a bit of pace. Location has been added to Patreon for those who are interested 😊
I had a quick go at this hill mildly hungover a few weeks ago but I didn't have the nerves for it that early in the morning after a camp ( I only went up about halfway, the right main track is SO steep, next time I go out there ill use an app on my phone to get the angle.
@@AustralianRuralAdventures awesome vid mate - great day out all round, only wish I had more time to float in the river and take in a few more cold ones!
I tried it hungover on the hardline midmorning after a camping sesh , I wimped out halfway up, this is one climb that " for now " has beaten Djim the Foz and Des the Des
Haha, you're still young. If my hart can handle it, yours can. Lol Yes, there are decent hills out there. Not to bad when they're dry. Different story when wet.
Yea, too bad, this D3 doesn't have the modes. Rock mode would probably helped a lot. Even without the rear diff it's really good. Still fun to see the Disco see some action.
So Keen to get out and try it not hungover haha! Great Video Dougie, did you get any footage of anyone trying the middle track? not the rutted with the right turn at the top, or the straight rutty one next to that, but the other one? The one I wimped out on ? Its so bloody steep, I'm still not sure how to tackle it, I felt like going slow gave me more chance to slide to one side :(
Haha love the name . But that little spot in Dwellingup isn't that hard . I've done it in my old Ford au . The scariest part is the turn around part at top .
and some one who knows how to drive it,, don't need diff locks , just left foot on the brake pedal to stop the wheels spinning. it would go up there easy
Way to send it Dougie!!! That’s what that was all about🤣🤣🤣 looked amazing
Thanks Fred! I'm not sure if it was actually that difficult or if I'm just easily scared.. Probably a combination of the two 😂
Love seeing old D3’s hitting the tracks 🙌🏼. Definitely miss mine but the 200 is starting to grow on me now with the V8 power

did the prado 120 try locking the centre diff HL or even LL i reckon it would do it
Great fun. I’m liking the variety of vehicles.👍🍻
I think it's the first time we've had a 200 series or a Prado on this channel unless I'm mistaken 🤔
Also, did you receive your strap bud?
@@AustralianRuralAdventures yoohoo just picked it up from the post office now 👍thanks brother 🍻 Now I want to get bogged so I can use it 😅
It would be funny to see you guys try that hill in the wet. Bet it would be impossible even for the 200 series. Thanks for the win so stoked 👍🏻

Ok! Keen to try this in the wet, calling out the landcruiser, lets see you do it again when it slippery, and Ill do my best to do it too!
Great video and enjoyed it.
Getting all cars on the same line would be good for even comparison between vehicles.
I feel like I put my thumb up first.
Extra commitment first thing on a Monday morning also!! 👍🏼

I hope you approve of the video Mike 👍🏼 Really enjoyed the day out, especially the post match drinks in the river 😅

Am I allowed to put snow chains around my tyres? 😬
2007-2009 Prado 120 with 1kz or 2011-2014L200 with 4d56 for trailing, offroad and some city usage?
Still trying to figure out where this is
Was gonna ask since ive seen the Disco in a few videos now - is that your daily douggie? or is this just something else fun that isnt a Subi?
