- Guys I am lost for words for how good these damn tires are. The improvements this tire has made to the Shelby GT350 are staggering so watch this video to really understand how good this tire is in the rain.
As I wrap up my few days with this Project 6G Wheel and P4S tire combo here are my final thoughts.
Pros: Increased grip front and rear
Better ride quality by at least 20% even with the lower sidewall
Better braking and shorter stopping in dry and wet
Eliminates the "thump" over expansion joints and bumps
Wider Contact Patch gives more push through in corners
Cheaper than others on the market in these sizes
Better IRS articulation around corners with increase grip
Best ultra high performance tire I ever used in the rain
I feel this is the best ultra high performance tire today
Cons: Lower sidewall height increase wheel gap, WHO CARES!
Front lower air dam hits more often at high speeds on dips
A touch slower steering input because of larger size and offset
Lower center of gravity changes feel and requires alignment
Lack of OEM sizes and applications for other cars
Forget the Cons and buy this tire if you are serious about having the best ultra high performance tire for your car in all driving conditions.

Very helpful review. I actually never drove mine in the rain, since I am in LA. I will see when the winter comes. I had super sport last winter here, and I would drift in very corner.

@@autofanaticcars Right on just hit 600 miles on the Pilots. Overall grip is greatly improved in dry and wet conditions. Amazing tires overall! Current weather varies from the mid 30s to high 60s. Yeah... south TX weather...
Mine are coming in tomorrow for my 997.. 305/30/19 rears and 245/35/19 fronts. I have been watching videos since I ordered them 2 days ago. I've never been so excited about a tire purchase. Thanks for the hands on research!!
you will love them, just put another set on my GT350, give them 1000 mils to wear in and youll see how much better these are over prior versions

First of all this video was very enjoyable to watch. I love driving in the rain so this will be my fix sort of speak when its nice and sunny outside. Keep up the good work. Awesome tires! Michelin is and probably always will be the leader in tire compound and tread pattern innovation.

First ever traction control!!! Wow! I live in Canada, so mine (not a GT350) is on all the time from November to March. Works great, though. Great video. I am considering a set of the PS 4s tires as soon as I can get my winter wheels off.

Great video, My Camaro SS 1LE has the same tire. Those are awesome.
Also there is a suspension tune you may want to looking at, it’s called DSC controller. That thing is magical to smooth out everything in both street and track.
Then you slap in a MGW shifter, that’s the best shifter you can buy.

Great review, just slapped a set of 18inch Michelin Sport 4S on my tuned 320hp Ssturn Sky Roadster, obviously nothing like the HP of your beautiful Shelby. But I totally agree with your assessment of the Pilot Sport 4S. Huge difference from the A/S Sport plus Muchelins 3+ I had. So glad I switched them over to the 4S, love this tire. I wanted the 4S awhile back, but because of supply chain issues, 4 month wait to get this tire. Now the supply chain has caught up, I got the 4S and couldn't be happier.
Just bought mine this past Sunday. Today will be my first day driving them in the rain since it hardly rains in Southern California
I just bought the Michelin 4S today. The weather is 37 degrees out here in Wisconsin. I had a set of Continental extreme contact and there is an obvious day and night difference between these two tire set. I am extremely amazed with there gripping and stopping power. Thanks for your review, I bought the right tires this time around.
I’m also using a 19x10 (35 offset) with a 305 tires all around.

Good video, thanks for going to the trouble of making it. I drive a UK spec Mustang GT, still on the factory fitted Pirelli P-Zeros, and I cannot use full throttle in the wet. It spins up the rears at 70mph in a straight line, in 4th! Fronts have 7mm, rears about 4mm, but they have to go. I've plumped for the Pilot Sport 4S, and hoping for the results you got. It rains a lot in the UK, so will really improve the usability of the car. Right now it's only a performance car in the dry!

The PS4S is a great performer in dry and wet conditions👌🏻
I recommend them and will buy them again.

Looks like an awesome tire. When it's time to replace tires on my GT350 I will definitely look at this tire. Hopefully by then they will have OEM sizes for the GT350.
If they do not, the 305/30 front and 325/30 rear is still a great fit if not better. I have them now and love them. The stance is little more aggressive which I like.

As someone who has hydroplaned twice in my life, this is what I need!
I drove my '18 GT350 off the lot about a month ago with the Pilot Super Sports. On Ga's bad roads, with huge puddles of rain accumulation, it is a truly dangerous vehicle. She was trying to hydroplane barely doing more than 50. The car has incredible power and the Super Sports just do not have the wet/weather traction. Dry blacktop, they are amazing and shred but wet roads with the SS is a risk for sure. These definitely look like a good way to go. Thanks for the info!
yeah i could not believe how good these new P4S tires are in the wet as i show in this video, now if only they made them in more sizes that is the big issue today.

I have a 65 Mustang, smaller wheels and tires than yours. I ordered a staggered PS4S set: Front-215/45/17. Rear-245/45/17. My wheels are BG Rod Works Old School Gunmetal, also staggered. Front-17x7 0 Offset. Rear-17x8 +6 Offset. My Stang is going to style and profile much nicer...and ride way better. Love your GT350!

Small world. After seeing that car in person I really got the bug for it. Test drove one and the performance difference against the GT was night and day, transmission was light years ahead and that sound.... After dealer markups it would have been stretching my budget but one day I'll have one. Keep up the videos and if I see you in town again I'll say hello

GunfightersINC driven on these for a while i dont think youll give any grip up from cup 2s with these and car is much better on street and rain its not even comparable plus youll get quite more track days per set with the new compound. its my favorite tire by far i cringe seeing Conti or Pzeros on exotics at dealers now.

I’m finally buying tires for my ‘18 Charger RT and this has me sold on these tires. My Firestone’s are toast and sketchy AF in a little bit of rain.
Pretty sure you can only buy ps4 on 18s or smaller and ps4s on 19 and bigger
Was looking at getting Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires, but this video is making me lean towards the Pilot Sport 4S instead. Had Nitto NT555 G2s before and I hydroplaned into a truck. But seeing this video on the 4S' is making me feel confident to run summer tires again.
great_white_5oh I have the as3+ and I wish these where out when I bought mine however I have less HP and they work really well in the rain at or over hi way speeds like he said with them and I had the 14 GT PP PZERO and I say the as3+ are better in the dry as well.

I have a set on my 18 scatpack and the amount of water that kicks up from the rear tires is so much that people behind me usually switch lanes to avoid from getting splashed on

I ordered a set of 305/30/19 front and 325/30/19 rear for my gt350 today. I get them Tuesday. It is funny I see your video now affirming a good purchase. I was a little concerned with the lower profile as well.
Oh by the way, my car has almost 18k miles on the originals. I have had no issues what so ever with the car. I also recently added the GT350 hood struts.

I don't track it so I need a tire that works well in rain, and decent mileage. I think the 4's are my next tire, but any advice will be greatly appreciated.Cheers.

Will put these on my Cayman GT4 as replacement for the dunlop sport maxx race which are equivalent to michelin PS cup 2, I don’t track my car so these seem way better for the wet with slightly less dry performance
For the splitter, you can buy some protective washers from ZL1 Add-Ons website. They screw into the bottom of the splitter and you can replace them when they wear out.

Definitely getting these for my 1le. I don't trust those Goodyear F1's anymore. Would sacrifice run flats for these. That's what AAA is for :3
I just purchased 4 of these for my 2014 Shelby GT500 265/40/19 front and 285/35/20. Getting them installed tomorrow. So yours are much more wider right? I live in Puerto Rico so no snow. But lots of heat and tropical rain.

I have pilot sport as3 on my Mustang and on the interstate in heavy rain I felt very confident as apposed to the PZERO and I hit some ponding as well and no problem and on the dry I still think there better then the factory 2014 Mustang GT PP PZERO.

Spartan so far in the low 40s there safe and sticky, it will drop in the 30s friday that will be a good test. i wouldnt drive any summer time regularly below 40 degrees day after day.

Stuck deciding between these and the AS3+. I want a single set of tires to use year round, and I know that conventional wisdom would say to go with the high performance all-seasons, BUT I have been surviving the North Carolina winter just fine so far with the stock summer-only Pirellis on my performance pack GT (I drive like grandma when its below freezing out). Any reason not to trade cold weather performance for ultimate grip in warm weather? I got spoiled by the grip on my old vette and I want that kind of performance again, sick of having trouble hooking up the pirellis on launches or simple hard accelerations in 2nd and 3rd.
get the P4S and if the weather system really turns for the worse this year and in the future get a second set of wheels and winter tires, it seems the entire US is suffering winter this year.
Are they 325/30ZR19?
I’ve got just under 2m left on my PS4 tires had almost two years awd vehicle and note the drive in the wet can feel very greasy which makes me nervous sometimes. Will change them all soon. Not sure if should get PS4 again or PS4’s.

4 years later, even when the tread wears a lot, is this still a tire you'd still recommend the most? I ran Nitto NT555 G2's and they lasted me 30,000 miles and did very well in the rain as well, but I'm trying to get wider tires now and they don't offer it in the size I need.
these tires are excellent and nothing new has come out that comes close to these as of 2022
super car 3 vs ps4s ?
I find the Bridgestone Potenza RE003 to be a better wet performer than the PS4s.. the dry grip on the PS4s feels superior for me. In terms of road noise, PS4s seem to be quieter than the RE003s. The wet grip for me has been pretty disappointing on the PS4s and are levels below what RE003s are
surprised to hear your feedback in the wet what car do you have them on and how many miles? optimal grip seems to be after at least 2k miles or more ive noticed
They’re great no doubt but in the rain and when the temperature drops they’re squirrelly as hell! Seriously they are NOT a winter or rain tire at all. For reference I have a 2018 5.0 Performance Pack 1

I had mine put on Tuesday. i have driven the car everyday testing them. I LOVE them. The tires ride and grip just as good if not better than the stock. Oh, the stance added to the width is AMAZING! I approve this purchase. haha.
