I ended up going with the P51 wheels because of your awesome video and explaining of these wheels! I put them on my 2012 Shelby gt 500 and I love them.
The specs are 20x11 rears and 20x10 fronts and the fitment is just perfect.
Such a great video, extremely well thought out and so much information. Thanks for taking the time to make this. I have just fitted the P51's with the same Pilot Sport 4 S tyres to my Mustang GT PP here in Australia and noticed the immediate increase in steering response so it was nice to hear you say the same thing along with an increase in acceleration and braking performance.

brake squeal has been fixed it bothered me so much i fixed this last night, video shot will go live in a few days so stay tuned.
i changed to michellin A/S 3+ tires which I think working excellent on street for daily driving, sticky on dry and wet, also works good during winter on average
When I watch your videos ..... I feel like I am looking at my own car. I have a Race Red 2017 GT350 with white stripes myself that I purchased in April. Have you ever tried forgestars? I have a set 20x10.5 and 20x9.5 with nitto 555 fires front and 555r tires in rear. They came off my 15 Gt. I wish they were 19s now, like the set up you have. I think I'm gonna see how these look and perform before maybe trying to sell em.

20s i had on my heavily modified GT, 3 different sets sets sold all of them they hurt performance a lot to someone like me, the 19's are the way to go which gives you the look and performance we are after. I have sold and used Forgestars they are a good quality rim but on the heavy side compared to some others on the market today plus their styles are a bit old for the current trends i feel/

I like this setup and am considering ordering for my 2017 gt350. Does this setup lower the overall ride height? Looking to also swap the springs all around. Will these sync with tpms easily?
What are the stats for the P51 in this video? 19x10? What tire sizes?

I noticed the brake sequel as well with the Poject 6G wheels, where there wasn't one before. I haven't put the factory tires back on yet to see if it goes away.
so nuts right i swear Ford must have designed the weight of the OEM wheel to be heavier on this car for reasons as such. now with the P51 the squeal is at 100% level of annoyance

be careful , depends where you live, i would love to lower mine but my nose would rip off in a day around NYC so its too risky. I think lowered on these wheels would look even better for sure. Not sure if it would rub but you will need to dial in a ton of rear neg camber and on this chassis it makes it launch weird with too much rear camber so you need to consider that as well.
are these 19 or 20 inch

I’m surprised you didn’t have the brake squeal earlier. I’ve had it since I pulled it off the lot. Annoying as hell. It comes and goes. But I’ve read that some people have swapped out the pads to resolve the issue.
Dexter 19 il be pulling pads off in a few days to do some stuff to see if it helps. if i swap back the original wheels the squeal stops is totally nuts

I've been listening to dyno runs and cars with Michelin tires make a significantly more distinctive sound maybe even louder then other tires.

I know this is off topic but I have meaning to ask you this. You take very good care of your car; you also drive it alot as well on crappy roads. I was wondering if you have caught any rocks on your front bumper and have any chips; also if you use a Protective Paint Film?
I have caught more than a few and it hurts to see them when I wash it.
My second question is what do you think about paint protection films?
I dont want Ceramic Coating as I do not want to alter the paint, but I plan to track my car in the future and want some protection up front.
I am thinking of Xpel or Scotchgard Pro, but I want an expert's opinion so I make the right decision, and not just buy stuff cause its the trend.

Ronald Rollins nope cars paint is great still, im not wasting money and time with films i rather respray nose instead since i can do it myself. i suggest for track to use a temp coating that you can spray on and peel off or use graft tape or similar of what others use at track

I have brake squeal and it started the day after I washed my GT350. Drives me nuts! I wonder if it's the wheel cleaners you've been testing. I feel like that is what caused by brake squeal. Some have
suggested I need to bed the brakes, but I don't plan on tracking or auto crossing the car. To me the thin layer of brake pad that's applied to the rotor from bedding would just be removed from normal street driving. After reading the forums, brake squeal seems to be a very common problem with this car.
Il be fixing it stay tuned for that video. i think a combo of the wheel cleaner and lighter wheels did this on my car, i noticed this after i tested the car guys wheel cleaner which is more or less a degreaser type of product.

@@autofanaticcars I went with the same wheel 11" all around with the same tire setup you have would I need a wheel alignment being I went with an 11" upfront with the 305x30x19?
So I have to give you a heads up you’re an accurate with your information about the P 51’s being a performance wheel. It’s just a looks well it’s not a performance well. I’ve broken 3P 51’s in the Canyon Inn on the track. Do not use those wheels on the track or drive extremely hard in the canyon you will die. The project 6GR wheels which I’ve also had our extremely solid no doubt you can take those out to the track bang them up scared from the dirt onto the pavement and they’re still good. Just to give you a heads up

Do the P51's fit like the factory GT350 wheels in the rear or do they stick out a little like the R wheels do?
these are R Spec, the rears stick out a touch but with the tires I have it looks just right.

I have tried 8 sets of wheel and tires on my red GT350, the 19s are lighter and the car feels much better no matter what wheel you do in 20 inch they weigh more and the tires weight more = more mass. you can really feel it on these cars so 20s looks good but 19s perform better
What do you think about 305’s in the front and 325’s in the rear?
my 350R has that you just need to drop the aspect ratio of the tire down because some brand sizes are limited to what will fit
You said you felt a difference in accelleration/braking/ etc with the P51s, did you feel a difference in acceleration with the P6GR wheels as well? I'm getting the 5 spokes and am curious what to expect over the factory wheels.
not as much on the 6GR wheels, it def the weight diff i feel you need to be very in tuned to cars to notice this difference.
Your car seems jacked up in the front.
Sense 2015 I have watched and read hours about the GT350. Last July using ford.com dealer 100 mile radius. I Found 1 dealer ordered GT350R 2 at dealers plus a few GT350s. ADM was 5k to 10k on GT350 and R 20k. For fun I called the dealer about the R on order. 5k was the answer!! as fast as possible handed a check for 10% to secure it. Turns out the manager was on vacation and I now have my ruby red dream, it does have a/c sync 3. upon delivery manger lmk they screwed up. I live in NC and my first drive in the wet I quickly learned how cup2 tires become very slippery. I would love a second set of cf wheels and PS4 tires for the street cost is the problem. Can you think of any negative issues going with P51 and PS4 on the R for street use with rear 325 ?

kaqurat33 continental tires suck i never liked anyone. the do not have the grip, braking or steering response that the pilot super sports or p4s have and ive driven them back to back

when you lowered your car with the bmr lowering springs did you put anything else on the car like camber plates? I wanted to do it once the right way. i’m also going with the p51 with my stock michelins.
no i notched the strut bodies to dial in my camber to where i wanted it. also be careful on the p51 they have clearance issues up front and crack.
Auto Fanatic oh no. if crack was the issue on the p51 then forget it, I also live in Long Island NY where potholes are everywhere.
