    I agree. My first gun was a G1 325 made in 1992. Still going strong after many thousands of shells. The only time it's stopped was when the bottom striker got gummed up. A quick blast of degreaser and a relube and it was back running. I've shot clays and all sorts of running and flying game with it.

    I’ve just bought a 425 in immaculate condition, all original, can’t believe the quality. Added bonus, the beaver tail fore end of my MK 38 fits perfectly on to the 425.

    I have one of these that I have and before me has been totally abused. This is very tempting to buy as almost a small investment although nothing that's going to move mountains later in the years. That's exceptional and I reckon that was bought as a pair and never rotated in the cabinet.
    I would love to own that !

    It was my first gun, great handling, great quality, and lucky to have great wood on mine. Liked it so much i got a 525 G5. But i couldn't sell my 325 G5. Had a chance to purchase a 20G 325 G5 with case. Thought strong of it but i had to draw a line some where. Great video thanks.

    Perfect timing for this video. Have been pondering getting a 525 or 325. Quite new to shooting but seem to have the bug of buying some classic guns for my collection. Local guy is selling one an very tempted

      It's a little bit different isn't it the 325? But not massively so.
      Listen for the ring!

      Don't buy the 325 , jumps alot and bites the trigger finger after 60 or 70 shots. Don't get me wrong, it's a really nice gun , but spend some more money get a 525 or a miroku .

    Hello Matt
    My name is Jim. I'm in the US and using my wife's phone to view your excellent video. I have a browning B-325 Sporting Grade 2. It has 30" ported barrels. I purchased it new in1994 I believe. It's in new condition as I only shot it a few times. The wood on my particular gun is fantastic as was the wood on the exact same model in the shop that day only with 28" barrels.
    thanks for the great video.
    Jim

    I've just bought one of these today! for my son and daughter to shoot, 13 3/4" stock, 28" barrels, very little use, 1992. I shot it first to make sure it all went ok before passing to my son. Bearing in mind the stock is too short for me, I used 21g comp X and its not fitted it dusted the first 4/4 completely. Its got a lovely ring to it when its closed, nothing like my 725 MK2 when closing. I shoot the 725 MK2 and a Beretta a400 multi target and I took to this 325 straight away. Considering how much I paid for the grade 2 325, I am extremely happy! Came with 6 chokes too!

    O just got an 1989 325sp it is almost immaculate. It has a 30 inch multi choke barrel. Would say it has not fired alot of cartridges at all. Even came with original box and the barrels say browning arms company, Morgan, Utah, & Montreal P.Q can you tell me anything about that model?

      A real classic the 325 and I hope I covered a lot in the video. One of the most succesful guns (in the UK) of the late 80's and early 90's. They literally go forever. If you have any specific questions then please get in touch. Kind regards, Matt

    Was there a difference in the stock dimension from the sporter and trap ,I noticed the fore end was a beaver tail on the trap ,cheers

    • @PremierGunsDoveridge
      @PremierGunsDoveridge  6 місяців тому

      Yes traditionally trap guns have less drop in the comb than a sporter, for a more head up position and can have a shorter length of pull. The beavertail forend also came from trap shooters, but more and more people like them on sporters in the modern day.

    Is it heavier than 525 ?

  • @richardtimms8733
    @richardtimms8733 2 роки тому +1

    The 325 actually originally came in 1,2,3,5,6 grades. They dropped the 2 quite quickly, I had a grade 2 once, I always preferred the 3 or 5, found the grade 1 too basic and the 6 with gold birds too OTT, and it soon wore off.

    • @mattmorganpremierguns1798
      @mattmorganpremierguns1798 2 роки тому

      Thanks Richard. I am aware of the other grades. I have actually personally owned dozens of these guns. The video was only really focusing on the lower grades and the grade 1 in particular. Thanks for watching.

    I'd much rather a good cond 70s-90s gun over todays stuff, still good guns just feel very mass produced today

      There's always some good stuff out there. And mass produced as well. The way of the world I guess 😉
