As a video gamer first I'll admit I'd probably never even have heard of OPR if I hadn't first played the Mechanicus videogame on pc. I played it, loved it, then got into 40K lore. Which led me looking into the GW tabletop, miniatures, and wargaming aspects.... Then I saw the prices and new I wouldn't be able to go the GW route, at least not rn. Plus the exclusivity of the rules, constant updates and revisions were offputting. I'm figuring out my main lane in the hobby is painting the minis but I wanted at least a somewhat tactical game experience to use them in without losing my sanity or going broke. Cue OnePageRules. This channel and other YTbrs put me on to the OPR streamlined rulesets, alternating activations, third party miniature sourcing and more. Needless to say I'm getting much more enjoyment going this cheaper and more creative route. I'm working on a Human Defense Force now for Firefight with the Stormbabes line from Across The Realms minis. 😎
You had an experience very similar to mine. I loved all kinds of things about 40k, but the things I didn't like got worse while the things I did like could balance it out.
What a delightful chat, looking forward to hearing more from Jason! 😊♥️
Definitely. I had all kinds of question when we ran out of time.
Guy seems like a total Chad, tbh

That game was so much fun. It even had an updated version later than was 3D
Why is Jason working on a mobile game when Oasis is coming out 2025? Thanks for the interesting insight and brief timeline of video gaming.
