You could say the same thing about many comic book artist, Moebius, Otomo, Kirby, McCay, Wood, Bolland, Neal Adams, etc but with a couple exceptions all those I listed have been surpassed by the vast majority of A list artists in the industry.
Kirby yes, maybe Neal Adams too. The others you mentioned are great talented artists, but they didn't have an impact on the industry nowhere as near as Jim Lee had.
First bullshit. Winsor McCay, Moebius, and Otomo all had much bigger impacts on the industry and their impacts were actually positive. Unless of course you care more about action poses than story telling. Not only did these three artists have massive impacts on the comic book industry they each had a massive impact on film, with Otomos framing style being adapted into western movies and of course the anime classic Akira, Moebius had a massive influence on films like Bladerunner and Alien, and Winsor McCay is often held up as the grandfather of animation. Winsor McCay was creating comics that still look good before super heroes were even a thing, Moebius has had as much if not more influence on European comics than Kirby did on American comics, and Otomo is probably the second most influential manga artist of all time, and had a massive impact on the west so much so Marvel paid for distribution rights to Akira, and even Todd McFarlane has always stated Akira had a massive impact on his art. Jim Lee's style was apart of the bust and boom of comics. All flash and style, no substance. On top of that, all the guys I listed, except Kirby could draw far better than Lee.
I still can't believe he draws old school pen and ink instead of switching to a Cintiq or tablet. He and Todd McFarlane are, by far, my 'only two' artists. Jim Lee is the best at stylized realism and the best at faces. McFarlane was terrible at faces (let's be honest) but great at the more stylized 'look' and extreme poses. In my art, I try to be 75% Jim Lee, 25% McFarlane. I love seeing him work.
lol just no. Todd Mcfarlane is FAR from "teRribLe aT fACeS" in ANY way at all, you're not being "honest" AT ALL here when you say that nor is anyone is at all as his face and character expressions are GREAT for how stylized they are as he's not aiming for photo realism compared to other artists, his stylized approach to faces and his own characters is what makes him who he is and make him stand out, especially in his phenomenal work in Spawn and his fantastic designs for his Spider-man comic run when he was doing the art! That simple! All these artists aim for something different in their art and jim lee and todd mcfarlane all aim for the things they want to do with their artwork and they MORE than succeed at it all and that's why they're so praised for the work they do! That simple, as well! Done deal!
@@Gadget-Walkmen Dude, his faces are notoriously bad, this isn't news. Like I said, I love his style otherwise (masked). And, it works for non-human faces... I'm talking human, though. You objectively think which book of his has great 'human' faces? I could show you decades of Jim Lee's that look light years better, even his early, early stuff vs. Todd's current stuff.
Her full name was originally "Suprema the Wonder Woman" and that was because she was literally the first superhero designed with supremacy of power as part of her kit.
Hi guys,I always wanted one of that papers like the one that jim lee is using so I looked all over the internet and didnt find anything so I decided to make it by myself feel free to use it imgur.com/a/o0Dba
Dear Jim; Please CREATE MALE American Asian superheroes! There's more than enough of White/Black characters already! It's the 21st century and we STILL don't have significant American Asian MALE superheroes. NO, please don't mention those copy cat characters we have today. I'm talking about quality originals Jim!
I disagree because this is a FABLE and in reality GOD DIDN'T GIVE A woman WISDOM OR UNDERSTANDING, besides the word woman means: SERVANT!!!!!......................................... Job 39:17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding...................I THINK IM GOING TO TRUST THE CREATOR, BECAUSE HE MADE EVERYTHING AND HE KNOWS EVERYTHING PERIOD!!!!!!!
Wow, your life must be so sad. I'm really sorry for you, really. I hope one day you'll open your eyes and see the beauty of this world, the beauty in equality, respect and love.

Ahhhh feminist
The part about the face's expression becoming your own when you're drawing it is so true!
Incredible artist
I love his art! Anyone else thinks he looks like a korean batman lol. his jaw and hair hahaha.
I can relate to what Jim is saying about drawing
This man is so inspiring

He has done some art on a Cintiq on one of his livestreams. Todd McFarlane did some of his work on a Cintiq tablet also
Look up John Buscema
@@rockon8174 Definitely know his work and I thought it was great for its day but I still think nobody can touch Jim Lee.
