Nah lol, they had to make Ebina look strong so they cut down the size of Nanba Zhao and Seonhees brains for the intro as evidenced by them running at him one at a time with their fists raised, nothing theyve previously done would suggest that they would just do that
Problem with that is Seonhee and Zhao would for sure know how to keep their cool. It seems really out of character for them to just run blindly like that. Especially with how methodically both of them dealt with Majima and Saejima. It's one of those things where they make character's do out of character stuff to make the antagonist seem more powerful by getting their ass handed to them. Just trading blows with kiryu would've been enough to show this guy is worth a damn. The sequence just could've been handled better to not make the character's look incompetent or done dirty. Especially considering it's the final boss.

Dude, literally at this part, the rest of my teammates were down, kazuma was full hp due to a last stand from seako, and then my boy kiryu pulls a dragon Essence and we did a full down beatdown until ebina was so close to death and then i used a Essence of remberance to kill him off, anime style.
@RidwanVader but why spending money in a game that you will change into something that it isn't what you bought? If you don't like Turn Based RPGs, why buying one in the first place?

Fighting them at the same time? Kiryu is losing af even with his Party and this is coming from Kiryu Fans
Yeah even tho I like Ebina, this jusk looks like one of the final boss of Kiryu saga instead of THE final fight. The final boss from Gaiden feel more like a grand final to me.
All i say is that ebina is very fucking lucky he ain't fighting kiryu with style switch beat em up system, the amount of tiger drops he'd get would be comically large

@@alonemax2912 No, I don't think it would. The whole point here is that Kiryu is incredibly weak and tired. You KNOW what happens next. The fight as-is fits exactly what they were going. If kiryu could've 1v1'd Ebina then his fight would be a sweep because the party wouldn't allow him to fight alone. I think you're forgetting the several moments where kiryu was helped by his party and how they want him to rely on others. Having kiryu disregard that and fight alone would make the entire story redundant and his arc would be ruined.

The thing that kinda dissapointed me with this fight is after the final fight in gaiden i expected like alot of cool QTE like you start on the roof box him down to this floor or something idk especially for kiryu's final fight i ecpected a bit more epicness. May just be me though.
Tendo is the real final boss in 7, and he’s fought in a party. Ryo Aoki is just the moral final boss, but he isn’t really the final challenge of the game
If you mean why didn’t Ichiban fight Ebina, Kiryu fighting him actually makes more sense. Ebina has a strong hatred for the Yakuza obviously, and Kiryu is the most well known Yakuza. Kiryu is trying to atone for what the Yakuza has done to make Ebina hate them and is trying to get him to forgive the Yakuza. Ichiban isn’t very well known in the Yakuza world, at least not as legendary as Kazuma Kiryu.
My first time playing through this game Kiryu and his party were around level 47-49 when I got to Ebina and I got beat the first attempt. But I wasn't giving up so easily and went another attempt against him, and by the time his health got very low during the second phase, Ebina wiped the floor out of everyone and Kiryu was the only one alive. And after guarding a few attacks and being at death's door, I used Essence of Remembrance to finish the fight off. What a way to cap off the final battle.
