This cemetery needs to be investigated for their shady business practices and sued.
This family deserves justice. The owners of the cemetery is hiding behind "policy and rules" to justify their illegal actions. This cemetery has been in business for 40 years I wonder how many other families they have bullied and grifted.
These cemeteries charge outrageous fees for burial and headstone placement. My brother was former military and they wanted $1k to install his headstone

I have been working for the cemeteries for literally my whole life. This cemetery is trying to gouge the Shan family for money, and they've used a stupid incident on the part of the son's friend- the tire marks, as a reason to gouge and start a paper trail, so they can use each issue as a way to siphon and gouge more money. The cemetery is probably hemorrhaging money, can't keep laborers and diggers and most likely has other cases due to encroachment and broken contracts for other families & plots hidden from the public. Sadly, in the funeral industry- most management, boards, owners of cemeteries/funeral homes, directors and most other mortuary personnel take advantage of people in their time of need. I've watched it happen. I've walked off jobs when I didn't approve of the failure to handle families and loved ones passed on with tact by management and foreman. This cemetery is no different. In the funeral business, there is a saying we all know- "The best job in the world because the customers stay forever and don't talk back." and it goes to show that funeral professionals know they are gouging and fleecing good folk for exuberant amounts of unnecessary money by getting people at their weakest moments. From overpricing caskets, to selling services not necessary- all the way to using the laws to damage families even more in the cemeteries' favor. There is a reason why I will never shake a funeral director's hand. These are the reasons. I feel so terrible for the Shan family. If y'all see this, reach out. I have the expertise as a long time, former internment Supevisor. I know everything there is to know and have done every job, used every machine and buried every kind of person you can think off. I'd be glad to be a professional witness for y'all.
Huh? The family's name is Holder, not Shan. It was mentioned several times in the video. And it's in the description under the video.

Bless you for your outreach ❤️❤️ Buried my Father in 2014, Buried my Mother in 2019. Families are vulnerable during this time. When we went to pick out my Father's casket, we were shown the most expensive ones first . We chose the gun metal gray casket with the Air Force insignia as he spent 22 years in the Air Force. Lots of price gouging going on. It was no where the cheapest one they had, but because of the insignia embroidered on the top was more expensive than most. We paid for it because he deserved to be buried with the patch he wore and nd loved for 22 years. Yes, families grieving a loved one, no matter who or what they are, are being taken advantage of. Thank you again for your outreach to this poor Mother. I can't imagine going through this after the death of a child.

I hate when people say those are the rules or that's their policy. There is also doing what's RIGHT. This is unconscionable and the cemetery is adding insult after insult to injury for these grieving parents. Not right at all.

I'm so happy they lawyered up. So many folks don't have that much laying around just to spend on legal fees especially after having to bury a loved one. Shame on the cemetery for acting in this manner. I pray they don't see not 1 more cent out of any family that hears about this injustice done to this poor family!! Prayers this is quickly resolved so they can finally have their private place to grieve their child. Also praying for peace in the memories they were able to make with their son before he was called home.

I actually understood the damages for the tires... okay, and that kid paid for it and took responsibility for it.. but there is no excuse to take fcking flowers off a grave and deny headstones.... what the actually garbage is this? It's 100 percent the cemetary's fault ...they had no business selling a plot that belonged to someone else... to begin with... the owner of the plot ... and the family need to sue the cemetary... the family should just sue the cemetary...and bury their son in a different cemetary...
I agree that the cemetery is at fault here but from my understanding it seems that the family owned the plot. No where did they mention that it belonged to anyone else just that it had been paid for 10 years prior to his death. It appears that the cemetery used the tire incident to terrorize the family. At the end of the video they did say they moved their son to a private cemetery.
@@kerimapresident6866 actually in the video...they do state what happened...the cemetary sold the family the plot...but 10 years before it was already sold to someone else legally who put a lean..on the plot...that was the issue...so the cemetary basically illegally sold it to the family...knowing it belonged to someone .

I admire this mother for dealing with this the way she has. Because if that was someone removing flower from my son’s grave. I would be in jail for a long time.
We thought a $5500 headstone for my 5yr old son that had 3 images carved into it. It’s stunning. The surface isn’t raised or distorted. It is flat as per “regulation”. They fussed at us over that headstone for months and told us they would take legal action to have it replaced themselves. We also had owned 8 spots at that cemetery for decades. One day they sent us a photo of a busted headstone and said that it was damaged during grass cutting and that it was the reason they required “flat headstones”. We stopped communicating with them and allowed a layer friend of ours to take up the argument and he managed to get them to fix the headstone AND they stopped calling or sending us letters. It’s been 12yr now and nothing else has happened to his headstone.
I used to have a bad misconception of cremation but I don’t anymore. So, I’m definitely not being left in a cemetery that’s for sure

First off, you guys had a very handsome son, he looks like his mother. This cemetery is behaving absolutely outrageous and I hope you win a multi-million dollar suit against them, this is outright harassment, you bought the plot, it's your land, people need to be well aware of how these people behave, it made me so angry to see this mother cry about how her deceased son is being violated, there's a special place in hell for these people.

We Own a free cemetery on highway 10 in Huerfano county Colorado any can be buried there at any time just try not to break things and even if something did happen no one is going to care because they are Dead everyone is welcome to the Valdez Cemetery

Privately owned cemeteries can be cruel. When a friend’s daughter died in a car accident, the cemetery threatened to move her body because the stone was one inch too thick. (It was not purchased from their stone cutter) The parents had to threaten them with a lawsuit.

Ii work at a cemetery and this is past ridiculous, it’s downright evil. I sincerely hope that family receives mass money from the lawsuit in order to pay for the disinterment a new resting place elsewhere and a marker. These owners are nasty people and need to be on local news and often. The business of death is far too often one of greed and corruption that nasty family has no business being in the burial industry. Burying the dead is a privilege for us, we’re actually volunteers who mange and Care for an old abandoned cemetery but we honor the sold graves sell new ones to help pay mowing staff. We use professional grave digging services and any monument company is allowed to install there. They’re just about making more money.

I would recommend that someone close to the family keep a paper trail. I know the immediate family, and loved ones, may not be thinking clearly. That is totally understandable, but that is when a close friend should be willing to help with the trail to insure that companies (funeral, cemetary, grave stone, etc...) that make promises, hold to their word. Anyone who fleeces a family that is distraught due to the loss of a loved one is a worthless piece of garbage!!

This place is the worst they have put this family through is unbelievable!! My dad is buried there and they throw away every memorial object you put down on the headstone that’s led our whole family to stop doing anything for our dad we can’t even visit our dad without knowing if we leave anything it’s going to get thrown away or takin home by the staff!!!

Something seems personal between the cemetery management/owners and this family. Hopefully, the family's attorney can bring it to light in discovery. No about of money will bring back their son. However, it may prevent future abuse to other families.

Funeral director here. I get why the cemetery would be pissed about the driveway, 3:05 but not to be so petty as to disturb memorials on the grave or mess with the headstone

The cemetery where my cousin is buried refused to place her headstone on her grave, until her parents paid in full for the plot next to hers, which is where they wanted to be buried. Her grave was 100% paid for, but they refused to place her headstone! I can’t believe these tactics are legal. To take advantage of grieving families like this is disgusting.
I am so sorry for what you're going through. In the town that I live in we had a problem with the cemetery here but the guy who owns the cemetery also owns the funeral home we tried and tried to get help and no one cared. I hope yours goes a lot better than ares did.
