So good to see you, Lynda! I love your haircut. You have such a positive attitude. I hope you and Ross have many more special moments together. Your projects are so nice-I love the baskets. Your patio garden looks great, too. Take care and know that both you and Ross are in my thoughts. ❤️
Lovely to see you again Lynda. I love you new short hair style. It really suits you. Your journey with Ross mirrors mine completely. Four years into my husband’s diagnosis he had a seizure which left him unable to walk and bed bound. Here in the Uk we are lucky to have the NHS which provided all his at home care and the Red Cross provided a hospital bed, hoist and lounger chair on wheels, so,like Ross he was able to sit in our sun room for a time each day. He passed away 12 years ago aged 74, 7 years after his initial diagnosis. I’m 86 now and in pretty good health and enjoying my knitting and crocheting and, since my cataract surgery 3 years ago, have taken up embroidery again. You are not alone dear Lynda, we are all thinking of you and Ross and send our love and good wishes. Love Elsie x
Oh Elise, I’m sorry for your experience with your husband. It is quite a journey. Here in the USA, home health care is not covered unless the patient is on hospice. The insurance requires a six month terminal diagnosis to qualify for hospice. Ross has been on hospice for six months. Now he has to be reevaluated every 30 days to see if he still qualifies. I am thankful that his condition has been stable so far, but am concerned that if there is no further sign of decline, the insurance coverage will end. We are paying out of pocket from our life savings for the caregivers we have because hospice only provides for a home health aide to come Monday thru Friday for one hour a day. But I take it day by day, one foot in front of the other. It is nice to hear that your life is peaceful and you are able to do the craft that you love. Thank you for visiting. Stop by again.
It has been a long time for me too. God bless you and Ross. You look beautiful and Ross is lucky to have you. May God give you as much strength you need for your days. In my prayers,❤️👵🏻Sally
Hello Lynda, I’ve been off social media, but just watched your podcast. Your hair is adorable short, you look so spunky! Of course my heart is heavy for Ross and you, growing old together is no easy feat. Stay strong, stay healthy, and keep your podcasts coming. I know by the end of each day you must be exhausted, but all your knitting pals are keeping you in our hearts.
So good to see you Lynda! I love your hair. So glad Ross and you are getting help you need. Sorry he had a fall and is now bedridden. What a special memory of him singing and saying Happy Birthday to you. I love the baskets. It is a great idea for Christmas presents and filling them up for people.
I'm so happy to see you! You and Ross are always in my prayers. Happy birthday! I loved making baskets too they are so fun! My thumbs are going numb, so I'm wearing braces to bed, and it is help! ❤❤
Hello Aggie! So nice to hear from you. Thank you for your kind thoughts.❤ I do have the hand braces. I’ll have to try to go back to wearing them. Be well.
Hari Om And we've missed you, Lynda!!! So good to see you on the screen again and to hear your voice. I do so like your 'boycut' - it makes you look younger! Thanks for sharing the news of Ross's progress(ion) and sorry that your thumb has played up. I know that 'tingle' only too well. The baskets are fabulous and that blanket of bits and pieces has worked beautifully. Keep chipper, dear lady - so glad you are getting assistance, but it is important to maintain a level of 'you' amongst it all. So yes, get videoing!!! Huggies from here to there. YAM xx
Dearest Lynda It's wonderful seeing you. I'm sorry it's tough times for you and Ross. Both my parents suffered dementia. It's not any easy road to travel. I'm glad you both have some support. Your both in my prayers. Lighter subject....your hair looks great...I love your veggie growing and all the knitting and crochet projects are amazing. Thank you for sharing and hope to see you podcasting. Love from Dorothy from Australia ❤❤❤
Thank you Dorothy. So nice to hear from you. I’m sorry that you had this experience with your parents. I have to say I kinda love my hair too 😊 I am slowly trying to get my knitting mojo back. Sadly more mindless social media scrolling seems to have taken its place. Hope you are doing ok. See you next time.
So good to see you again! Love your haircut! Your little patio garden looks like it is great. Love your arrangement of fresh veggies in one of your baskets. You've inspired me to check out that video and maybe use up some cotton yarn to make baskets. Sending all good wishes to you and Ross. So glad you were able to check in with us. Take care. ❤
Hi Lynda, it’s very nice to see you again and to hear that Ross is so well under the circumstances. Belated happy birthday 🥳 💐🎈🎈🎈🎈 I truly missed your videos and appreciate taking the time to connect with us. I will be here when ever do can post another video. ❤🤗💐
Lynda, I was so happy to see your podcast pop up in my subscriptions! What a blessing to have good caregivers as you and Ross travel this unplanned journey. You seem more relaxed than last year in your Vlogmas episodes, and it is no doubt owing to having some of the load lifted from your shoulders. I’m really glad I got to see and enjoy Ross before he took ill. I always got a kick out of hearing the comments your sidekick made from the Peanut Gallery. He was so cute. 😁 God bless you for loving him through better and worse. I LOVE your new do! I recently went from years of wearing mine shoulder length to shorter. I’m not crazy about mine right now, but my hairderesser~aka~Hubby (yes, he’s always cut and permed my hair for me) told me to find a picture of what I want and he’ll fix it for me. I plan to show him yours. 😊👍 Doing short video clips as you have time, then editing them together as a compilation podcast may be what works best for you at this stage, and you clearly have great editing skills. Give that sweet man a hug, and know that we, your viewers, do miss him. ❤
Oh hello Renna! So great to hear from you! 😊 Thank you for your kind words. It warms my heart to know how much you enjoyed Ross. He was the best sidekick ❤ He was also my “ knitting”buddy. He would come yarn shopping with me and attend all of the yarn festivals. He even knew the knitting lingo. To be honest, my injured thumb isn’t the only stopping me from knitting. It’s not the same without being able to share it with Ross. Hope you are doing well. I love my new hairdo. It’s so easy. You should try it.
Hi Lynda it’s been ages since I have been on your channel, My husband David had cancer and he has COPD just stopping by to say hi love to you and Ross❤
Hi Nancy, I'm sorry about David's health issues. It's hard, I know, to watch a loved one experience stuff like that. I'm sure you take good care of him.
Thank you for sharing with us. I’m glad to hear you’re finding some blessings during this difficult time. Are there exercises for crochet thumb or do you just not crochet? You have a nice variety of projects. I love the covers for your tomatoes and cucumbers. How inventive. Big hugs and prayers from Deb in Florida
Hello Deb, thank you. It’s so nice to hear from you. The advice I was given about my thumb was rest. When I have attempted to crochet, it’s been painful. But I can knit a little. Thanks for the visit. See you next time.,😊
So great to see you! Did you cut your thumb or am I thinking of someone else? (It must have been someone else). Love the baskets, what a great idea to fill them as gifts. Also love your hair. Glad to hear things are going as well as possible with Ross. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Victoria, thank you. ❤ My thumb injury is strictly from crochet overuse. I am answering these comments early Saturday morning. The room is dimly gray, moments before sunrise. Ross is snoring peacefully in the bed across from me. I spend a lot of time in this room. When I saw your name come up, I immediately pictured you on the trail and I was momentarily transported to Montana, walking along with you, and for a brief time and a little imaginary, away from these four walls. So thanks for the comment and visit. ❤
So nice to have you back❤❤❤send you my love from Athens Greece
