Oh my goodness, you got so much beautiful yarn. I'm sure that you and Roseanna had a wonderful time together. Your sweater is going to be beautiful when you get it finished. ❤
Hi Sharon. We definitely did have a wonderful time. And there was such beautiful yarn there that it really was hard to choose which ones to bring home. Thank you so much for the encouragement about my sweater. :-)
Happy Sunday! I am happy that you enjoyed the video. Shopping with Rosanna was such fun, and I hope we plan more yarn trips together in the New Year. :-)
Sounds like you had a wonderful visit. Lovely yarns. Ooohh that James c brett yarn is gorgeous! I think the color you chose for your tropical bird project are spot on.
It was a great visit. And a fun store to shop at. The two lighter colours were ones that I had chosen for the Tropical Bird MAL, and Judy suggested that I look for a third colour (the dark brown). Didn't think that I had any, but found some when I did a deep dive in my stash. Judy was right. That third colour really helped to finish the shawl nicely with the dark coloured border.
Hi Cathy! Thanks for sharing your yarn shopping trip. Lovely Knitting sounds like a fun store to explore, especially with a friend. I don't blame you for forgetting all about your camera, haha. That LOUISA HARDING yarn looks perfect for a something new project. :)
Hi Christine. Must admit, this might be my favorite local store (and my husband's favorite store is very close by... so that is either very good or we both are in big trouble lol) Maybe I will need to keep the Louisa Harding yarn for a future month -- as you are right that it's a totally new yarn to work with, and is in a good amount. :-)
What a fun trip with a new yarny friend. And that was some yarn shop, nothing I have ever seen before with that discounted yarn room. Oh I would get myself in so much trouble !! So glad you enjoyed yourself Always nice to see you, Cathy. 💜🧶🤟🏼
Hi Dianne. When it comes to that yarn shop, it is located toooo close by. (I have to pace myself and only go a couple times a year. lol) Thank you so much for taking time to comment -- it is such a joy to hear from you. :-)
@ Cathy, you won’t believe this but, Premier Yarns is only 5-10 minutes down the road from me. I was so excited to find that out, and then so depressed to find out they no longer do a warehouse sale day to the public. That just makes me sad. I do however dream of breaking in and playing with the yarn ! Haha. Just kidding (or am I) ?! ;) have a great weekend.
That is wonderfully close to Premier Yarns. And you never know, maybe they will do a warehouse sale again, in the future. If you phone and ask, maybe they have a store nearby where they sell the seconds or end of stock? oh, and if you ever get invited to a "play day" in the yarn at Premier Yarns, please invite me lol
So pleased you had a good time with your friend. What fabulous yarn you have acquired. I’ve not seen one of those row counter gadgets before. I think I’d find that helpful too xx
Hi Loraine. You are so right -- this was a really nice visit with Rosanna. The row counter was the first item by Pony that I have ever purchased, and seems so functional and well made. Definitely a step up from my tally marks on paper. Thank you for your comment and have a good week. :-)
Hi Cathy. Looks like you two had quite the adventure, amazing store! Very pretty new yarns. Marble knits up so pretty. I’ve used it for mittens and they held up well for the grandkids. I’m trying to finish a sweater before next weekends show. One sleeve and a band to go! Tomorrow’s show is outside so no pretty sweaters necessary 😂, just winter wear. I’m ready, truck is loaded and hoping for a good weather day. See you next week, have a good one!
Hi Tami. You are so right, that yarn shopping with Rosanna was so much fun! Thank you for the hint about Marble yarn for mittens. Hoping your show this weekend goes really well (the weather here is amazing & if it is similar for you, might bring many shoppers out and about). I am really looking forward to next weekend! Friday video & visiting 2 markets on Saturday... who could ask for more? :-)
Hi Cathy! Thanks so much for answering my question last week on how you met Jeff. I love hearing these stories ❤. You and Rosanna seem like two young ones in a candy store. Glad you met and had fun together. I enjoy watching both your channels. Judy on Thursdays, you on Fridays and Rosanna on Saturdays. The perfect trifecta!! If you come down to Toronto, try out The Yarn Guy. They're stuffed with yarn and sewing stuff. I was just there and also got Bernat Super Value yarn for Judy's MAL in shades of brown. Looking forward to your project on that and hope you'll be pleased with your sweater in the end. Have a good weekend!
Hi Judy. Thank you so much for your question. It is such fun to talk a bit with everyone about my life & my family. The yarn community on You Tube is such a wonderful place and we do get to know many of the same people via video. Rosanna and Judy are two who I follow also. How kind of you to include me with them & call us a trifecta. I am blushing a bit, being included like that. Thank you for the suggestion about The Yarn Guy. I have seen ads, and wondered about it, yet have never been. Now it will definitely be on my list. And I will let you know when. Maybe sometime in the New Year?
It is an amazing store. Almost too much to see in one visit. Hoping that you and I will do some shopping there some time, Judy (let me know when you're in the GTA next. We'll need a couple of hours - or more - to see all the rooms)
Hi Cathy nice to see you again ,i must say if i went to visit a wool warehouse place i would be like a kid in a candy store . You have selected some lovely wool colours to show us that was really nice ,thankyou. Hope you get to the finishing line with your sweater ,take care Cathy.
Hi Mary. You are so right! It is like a candy store, and best thing is, no calories. lol Oh Mary, I hope that I get to the finish line with my sweater too. Have a great weekend! :-)
Hi Cathy, New Subscriber here. Thank you for sharing all the yarn. They are beautiful. It would be so hard to buy yarn from that place. I would be overwhelmed also, it looked like yarn heaven. I cant wait to see your sweater when it is finished. Have a great day. ❤️
Hi Teresa. Warm welcome, I am happy that you decided to subscribe (and a little hint, the next video will have a surprise a few minutes in). The shopping trip was such fun, and it wasn't easy to decide -- could have taken it all home if I had room here. lol Hoping you have a great day too. :-)
Hi Josie. How wonderful that you can get Marble in England. There were so many colours available that it was difficult for me to choose which ones to purchase. And once I got it home, I realize how soft --- very very nice yarn. Thank you for the encouragement about my sweater. :-)
Hi Cathy I'm Ginny in Sydney Australia, so nice to meet you here. I really love the colours of the yarn you bought. My favourite colours are blue, brown, caramel and natural colours. Yes, frogging helps us to learn by our mistakes. I'm learning to knit sweaters too. Thanks for the tips and where I can find the knit sweater pattern. I appreciate you. Thank you. Happy knitting and crocheting. I'm your new subscriber HUGS xx
Hi Ginny. Thank you so much for your comment. It is lovely that we are learning to knit sweaters together, and like some of the same colours too! So happy that you decided to subscribe. a friendly hint - this coming Friday's video has a surprise in it :-)
Hi Cathy, thank you for sharing! Yes, never say never! I started selling a few items at a local farmer's market and now, I also go to local markets. I just went to my last one ( for this year) yesterday. I'm finding more and more organizers are allowing pre-made, foreign -made items to be sold at these markets and that takes the value of hand-made items away from us creators. Not sure how much longer I'll continue with these markets. I have a row counter like that! I love using it, the only trouble I get into with that is when I keep track of multiple projects at the same time and have to remember which section is for which project 😂. Very lovely yarn 😻. Beautiful choice of yarn/colours for Judy's Tropical Bird MAL.
Hi Dimitra. If you sign up for markets again next year, I would enjoy coming to visit you. Please let me know when/where. (I much prefer things that are made by the person and appreciate the time/talent.) Good tip about being careful when tracking multiple projects -- that would be a challenge! (Judy and I were on a chat/call and she suggested that I add in the third colour -- the dark chocolate one. Didn't think I had any, but found some, doing a deep dive in my stash.)
@@dimitratzamtzis2018 I would look forward to it... When it gets to be summer/autumn, I start thinking of Christmas shopping. And it would be a nice time of year to jump in the car and go for a drive!
Ohhhhhhh.....nice Marble Chunky haul. I love that yarn! My socks are coming along....I too have experienced lots of frogging 😢😂. I hope to have them done to submit for the MAL.
Hi Alison. I was really surprised by how big the cakes of Marble Chunky are (and it is pretty soft, softer than I even expected) Very happy with it. Great news about your socks. Not about the frogging, but that you are making progress. I am looking forward to seeing your picture of them. :-)

Hi Cathy looks like you had lots of fun. I wish I lived closer so we could visit. What is the color for this months Crochetalong. So happy to find a Canadian yarn store thanks for sharing it 😊have a great weekend 😊
Hi Shannon. I wish we lived closer also, and who knows, hope we might get a chance to meet in person someday. The color for this month is a person's favorite color (or if you are making a gift for someone, your friend or family member's fav color). During Advent, I hope to share about some of my favorite places to shop yarn -- and there are quite a few Canadian ones in the group. Curious if there are any yarn discount warehouses in Ottawa or Hull that you have mentioned previously on video? Hoping you have an excellent weekend too. :-)
@@YarnWithHeartno yarn places here at all I mostly rely on Micheal’s and online . Lately the donated yarns are pouring in so that’s always good for the kiddos 😊
I am happy for you that the yarn donated for CHEO is in good supply. It will make a nice selection of blankets and lovies for the children at the hospital. Such an amazing outreach!
I hope you are well. Visiting your channel I have seen your all videos and content are very good but your video SEO optimization is not professional. Perhaps you are busy for managing the channel

Looks like you got some beautiful yarn. If I worked there, I wouldn’t have a paycheck.
Hi Mary. I hadn't thought about working there... until now. What a dream job! And they could pay us in yarn. lol
