When I was a student in the 1970s-80s, our town Groningen was on of the two places where "golden oldie" bluesmen came to play when in The Netherlands, so I'va had the privilege of meeting such people as Big Joe WIlliams, Henry Gray and Juke Boy Bonner and learn from hearing them play. A frisian (like myself by half) dutch bluesman stgae-named Shakey Sam has been on of my major influences. Gosh, believe it or not, I've seen him keep the audience dancing for more than half an hour with only his harmonica.
