@@DocSnipes I am 76 and have spent about 1/2 that time in therapy and on meds. My parents are both deceased but I still tell them what was wrong. Daddy has visited me in dreams. His spirit or my brain I don't care. I know beyond doubt that I was loved by both which helps. I sleep with stuffed animals and talk to them and I'm into meditation. Daddy was either a narcissist or borderline personality. Mother, like me, was a people pleaser so didn't "see" any abuse. I went thru childhood at 35, 4 years after my first husband died. Since I've been 70 I've had flashes when meditating. I thought meditation was wrong for me when I had a dream about my best friend and me--I depended on her and her wonderful parents. The upshot was I felt these flashes were for guidance. My 42 year old says I'm at the end of adolescence. It it is feelings selling up from my toes. I am more like I'd like to be, what feels right for me. I'm seriously considering ketamine therapy and tossing the antianxiety/depression pills. There's more, but this is enough. Thank you for caring.
