Great video mate! Just bought one of these new this Christmas & am in the process of customising it; I'm gonna steal your modified rod-holder idea if you don't mind. Yeah, like you I've found the range to be around 80km on a tank (70ish if I throw-in some tubing with the kids) with the Mercury 60hp; mine's the newer model with the battery stowed underfloor so I can fit an extra tank in that space, which helps avert range-anxiety. These 430 Fishabouts are great little all-rounder boats and feel a lot roomier than your typical sub-15' runabout usually does due to their comparatively wide beam and walk-through dash.
Hey mate, great idea with rod storage hooks. Those 430 fishabouts are great looking boats.I have a 420 quintrex estuary angler pictured in my avatar and know to well about space.I opened up my rear bench and removed floatation to make underseat storage and replaced floatation with full underfloor floatation.
Thanks for a great video. I’m trying to figure out a good Bimini setup that won’t take away fishing space. I see you mounted your’s on the windscreen. What make is the bimini? Is the setup holding up? Thanks
thats a factory bimini from quintrex, clips onto the windscreen and you lock it off on the poles as well. Can leave it open upto 100kph apparently but i normally zip it up in the bag when travelling.
Hi mate, any chance you can do a measurement from back of floor through to the drop down in front of passenger seat? Wondering if I could fit a swag in with passenger seat removed.
Hi mate great seat up I just upgraded my outboard on my 430 escape to a 60hp and just trying to find the right prop pitch just wondering what your pitch is running at the moment cheers
Hey it's a 60 Yamaha, which is the biggest you can get for this size boat. Plenty of grunt to tow a tube or take 4 full adults. I have a full rundown of it on one of my earlier vids
Great video, love ur fishing rod holder I think you’ve had this boat about a year now, are you still happy with it or would u have gone for the 450 with the extra bit of room? Handy that it fits in the garage
I would probably stick with the 430 as you nearly cannot tell the difference in "free space" . But inwouldntry for underfloor large fuel tank..and floor storage which may only come with a 450... Mine pokes out the back of my garage as I got the larger braked trailer. I need the swing away put on for it to fully fit inside.
Some good ideas. Thanks.

Might have to look at relocating my battery and putting in the extra tank!

Yeah I have had a look in there and am thinking same idea for more room
Should be getting sponsored mate! I pick mine up next week 👍🏼
Great little setup mate, similar to mine. Love my fishing as you do. Thanks for the hints as well 👍🏼
It's slowly coming together
@@aussiedadlife fantastic mate 👍🏼
Epic set up mate,
Just picked up the same in Stacer.
What are the little rubber stops you’ve got on the back of the bolts for the rod holder ?
Cheers
@@ryansmith9283 they just came with the hook pack I got from Bunnings.
Mate, what a great no bull shit video
Great ideas video mate.
What are the black stopper looking bolts you use on the back of the rod rack, the bottom ones?

Not sure mate just whatever it came factory with ? It's mounted in the second hole from top on the engine
Where did you get these hooks from? I couldn’t find them at bunning
Got em at Bunnings, zenith surehooks. They come up on their website
Thanks for the video - same boat I want as my garage is very small - what size motor on it? And is it enough ?

Hey just wondering how these types of boats handle off shore or ocean swell
Haven't taken it offshore mate, under 10kn I think it would be fine
@@aussiedadlife thanks for the reply
Nice setup! I almost learnt the hard way not carrying a spare 10 litre tank. How long did the ride to rye and back take?
It took a fair while .. and it was rough. I think I gave myself a slight concussion from the pounding lol.
how do you find the 430 on your own? i m looking at a 450/480 top ender pro
Awesome and easy to handle on your own. With a boat catch it's even better. No stuffing around and straight out of the ramp to tie down etc.
Any chance I can fit 430 with 60 Yamaha in 5.6 - 5.7 m garage?
Thanks
If you get a swing away drawbar you can. Otherwise no. Mine pokes out the back of my garage
@@aussiedadlife Thanks mate. Need to ask the dealer to see if they can provide it as a package with boat.
@@aljafari2364 they can arrange it. Talk to Sean at Streaker marine.
