I have a built 12 valve and im finishing up a 3 rotor build and am really considering this kit. My buddy has a donor thats blown up with a bent frame. Im tempted
Im a A&P myself. Been following your build. Been thinking about doing this kit. Im out here in New Mexico, so it would be pushed towards its off-road capabilities. Looking at the design of the frame on FFR website. I have concerns about the bump stop and shock reservoir mounting. Do they seem to be secure enough to you?
The shocks should be height adjustable, I don't see that being an issue. I like it, the front bumper could be slightly different, maybe more "offroad" styled, but that's personal preference.
If there is metallic in the paint and you don’t spray it with the panel in the same position, i.e. vertical or horizontal, it will look off like that. But, if you have it in the direct sun and it looks the same then it’s the position of the truck vs the sun angle that makes it look off.
That's correct... this doesn't have any metallic in it all...the other thing about this color it actually gets darker as it dries...never seen that before but the first color attempt was perfect The first day... went out the next day... completely off
I'm willing to bet the Miss colored panel was painted on a different angle. If it was laying flat the metallic flake is going to sit different than if it was sprayed vertically
Why these enormous wheels and no sidewalls?? What is this "look" that has become so popular. Why not some 17s with 37"-40"? You build a vehicle to look like a proper prerunner, then throw it all away with these hideous wheel / tire choices.
good comment - keep in mind if you review through my plan for the build is show the "street version" of the pre-runner... admittedly with the street splitter and full bumpers this version is less of pre-runner and more of a mall-crawler... sway bars and pan hard bar and tow hitch... my truck will not be living the pre-runner life... the other option for the FFR kit is the full race version that has all metal bumpers and rides higher with 17's... this project look was very deliberate on my part to show what else you could do with the kit and that it isn't just a sand dune vehicle....anyway - great discussion!!!
You did amazing job Eric, the paint looks great. Again great work!

no concerns at all... there will be more videos out soon of the truck in the off road element.... it did very well!
Really sick build.
Not alot of ground clearance for a truck with mid travel suspension?
have not had any issues at all - 8 inches of frame clearance - even down south no issues so far anyway.

Great job, thanks for the walk around. Maybe some decals on the fender to doors to break up the panel shadows.
oh we have a plan!
Whats the total cost for these builds? I really want to build one if i don't rebuild my gen 1 raptor.
Truck + 25k for the kit+ wheels and tires
how long did it take from start to finish and what was the totally cost to build this truck?
40 days = kit is 25k... minus wheels / tires/ paint / and major upgrades to support 1200hp
@@etreves I believe they were asking how much you spent in total on parts *beyond* the FFR kit price.
Do you think the cooler will handle being that close to the exhaust tips okay?
Already checked out.. works fine.. it isn't that close
Awesome! Looking good!
You should get a poster made with your UA-cam link to show at sema! Or possibly a window sticker with the link.

Really looks good!
looks wicked.
Cool looking street truck. Raptor looks for a street truck. Just lower it..
ERIK, Von Braughn huh? I thought I saw you in it last week at S3I. Looks good!
PM Utility
I saw that too. I was like, damn that looks really familiar.

@rogerout8875 actually no.. it's the angle of that panel in the light...nice wrapped the truck soon after and the wrap does the same thing
@@etreves interesting..
