What i think is very impressive about skywind and also Skyblivion is that the attention to detail all of you people put into it is so good that it does not feel like Skyrim at all. Meaning: I think you achieved that very difficult level of detail and vibe of the world that it creates a solid illusion that you are ''back'' into Morrowind or Oblivion/cyrodiil again, instead if ''Oh yea i'm playing skyrim again but its made to look like Morrowind'. I'm not sure how Skywind actually play's or feels compared to skyrim but i think its very important it should feel ''different'' enough. So more modern yet different enough to have its own identity seperate from Skyrim. Its things like having to look at a street sign to know where you go. The game not holding your hand. Using boats and Silt striders to fast travel. That ''purist mode'' for example sounds awesome. And holy crap it looks so pretty. Perhaps one thing to be carefull with is the draw-distance of everything. Morrowind had this thick fog to hide the limitations of the engine and pc compute power back then but if you create the same exact lay-out of morrowind in skyrim but max draw distance this could give problems like that GTA sand andreas remaster Rockstar made. Removing the fog from that game made the world look extremely small and ''wrong'' when you would fly in a plane or stand high up in a mountain. Something simple as fog can make the game feel much bigger or smaller. At the same time at 18:06 in this video its just great to walk in this mushroom forest and then in the distance you see these weird towers making you curious and wanting to explore it. Wich in Morrowind you would not even be able to see. Anyway i'm just rambling now, you guys are awesome!

I just read up on belts rings and amulets in Morrowind, and saw that by default belts and rings were invisible on the characters in the original Morrowind despite being visible on the ground if you drop them from your inventory. Rings could be visible if you are not wearing gloves or gauntlets and could even be visible if you are only wearing bracers. Belts could be made visible if you are not wearing pants or greaves or a robe :P Clothing worn over them could hide their appearance, but it would be so cool to see rings and belts if nothing else clips into them :D
In the stream, you said the main problem why paralysis is so strong is the long get-up animation, but wouldn't it be possible to not let the player character or NPCs fall on the floor and just let them stand on their feet, just paralysed in the frame of their animations, e.g. a swing with a sword or a bite from a Kagouti? Sounds like that would make paralysis more balanced and would allow for better timing inputs to determine effect length for final balancing. The animation you started could even be finished when the effect wears of or something like this. Anyways, keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to more of your amazing project. :)
Will we be able to create or commission our own custom spells like in original _Morrowind?_ That was one of my favorite early-game activities in the Mages' Guild. (Update: Never mind, question answered and the answer was "yes," I'm happy to report!)
Bethesda should be looking at this and supporting it, but that makes me happy a bit. No paychecks mean that this project is being made out of pure passion. I don't care if I have to wait a lot more years for this.
Morrowind has the best gameplay mechanics out of the entire series, but I couldn't get back into the actual game due to the severely outdated environment. If Skywind ever releases something, I'd love to play it.
When you guys started talking about how you first got acquainted with the game, some very old and deep memories stirred in me. Let me tell you a very personal story of mine: My native langue isn't English, and I distinctly remember looking at a piece of cardboard from the box of an old GPU back from 2002. I remember sitting in my small rubber outdoor pool as a kid and wondering what that game can be, I simply felt drawn to it but they didn't document the game's title anywhere neither in English nor my native language. Recently more than 10 years later when I first discovered Morrowind in the 2010's, it clicked in me that in one of those pictures on the cardboard box was a scene from Morrowind. A dark elf character holding a torch and going up against a cliff racer!!! I immediately rushed to try the game out, but sadly I just could not bring myself to play it past Seyda Neen, despite me knowing some English now. The graphics simply got the better of me. But now that I see how you guys are updating the game in the Skyrim engine, it gives me so much renewed hope!!! Please for the sake of all those who wish to play this wonderful game but because of something or another are unable to, release soon, and thank YOU ALL for all your HARD WORK AND DEDICATION FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!!!!!! Furthermore, I consider that -Carthage must be destroyed- Skywind must release in early access.
We hope so too - it's not something we can afford to work on, and we reckon the UI rework won't be all that easy, unfortunately, but we're keen to see it.
After you guys and gals finish this, then make a VR version, and then it will be complete, and I'll end up playing this for a long, long time... I still can't wait to play this version soon.. and so far it looks AWESOME...
It looks amazing! Great job on everything. Just one thing sticks out though. No one would ever build a roof like the ones in Seyda Neen. That design would destroy the entire building in not all that long because it would leak everywhere. It would also be harder to do the thatching that way, too.

Fantastic, brilliant, gorgeous!! 🥰 Thanks for taking us on a walk - a sprint? - through Vvardenfell again and thanks for showing so much stuff off! Can't wait to get my grabby hands on those armor sets and weapons!! AND OH MY, the Crescent looks just incredible. And we got the Boots!! Now we can walk into danger blindly as Tribunal intended 😌😌😜 Speaking of which - I am usually not that hostile towards Vivec, but now I fear I shall have to slaughter him just to get his garb 😏😁😁 (Please, please tell me Dagoth's mask will be lootable. That was such a disappointment in the original game, haha! 😅) Excellent work as always, love it!!!!❤ And thanks to everyone who donated!!
Seyda Neen looks really really great, but the Imperial prison barge is supposed to leave right after the Nerevarine disembark. Sorry for being such a nerd :p
If there willing to do the DLCs I'm more than happy to play it even if I have to wait awhile or get off my ass to help out. Already looking into nav meshing, start off with something easy. Same goes for Skyblivion. I would absolutely love to see Shivering Isles remake done right. I know you guys are all volunteers but it does makes me wonder what you folks could do if you were able to do this full time. The incredible work that's been achieved so far way outstrips what big studios do imo. And by full time I mean flexible like it is now without the time pressure but don't have to worry about another full time job and whatnot.
I could never get into Morrowind, Oblivion was in fact my first TES game. I cite the clunky animation and character control but I've watched playthroughs that make me want to play it then when I do I just struggle. So I am really looking forward to Skywind so I can finally soak it in on the new engine.

Also does anybody know if there will be Vampire Clans questline and how will whole vampire system work?
Yus, plan is that you can join any vampire clan!
Nice stream.
Amazing ❤
Ahh yes. We've been expecting you
Fantastic, brilliant, gorgeous!! Now we can walk into danger blindly as Tribunal intended 😌😌😜
Speaking of which - I am usually not that hostile towards Vivec, but now I fear I shall have to slaughter him just to get his garb 😏😁😁
(Please, please tell me Dagoth's mask will be lootable. That was such a disappointment in the original game, haha! 😅)
Excellent work as always, love it!!!!❤ And thanks to everyone who donated!!
Amazing work
Amazing truly
"Where did morrowind touch you?". Laughed so hard I peed a lil
This game is my dream
Seyda Neen looks really really great, but the Imperial prison barge is supposed to leave right after the Nerevarine disembark.
Sorry for being such a nerd :p
looks great
If there willing to do the DLCs I'm more than happy to play it even if I have to wait awhile or get off my ass to help out.
I hope the skyrim together mod works with this, it would make it perfect
I could never get into Morrowind, Oblivion was in fact my first TES game. I cite the clunky animation and character control but I've watched playthroughs that make me want to play it then when I do I just struggle. So I am really looking forward to Skywind so I can finally soak it in on the new engine.
RIP Mitten Squad. 'Can you beat Skywind with only a broom?'
