Thanks! It's definitely an idea that I've already pinched, so have at it!!! But as many others have mentioned, I can see other applications as well. Cheers!
I think circle jigs have been the forerunners for the comp, but each has tackled the problem in a different way which is awesome. Eliminating the central hole is a great option when you need both sides to be schmick! Awesome stuff Jamie, thanks for the entry! :D
"GET IN THE HOLE" 😳 Scared the absolute crappers out of me! (headphones)😆😆😆😆 Great entry, mate. 👍🏽 Yep that centre hole could be a pain if it wasn't needed.
Ha! Yes Bill, I scared the bejeezus out of myself, & almost went back & re-edited it but I really wanted to get it online. Thanks for watching & thanks for the comment! 😁
Jamie, this is one of the best - if not the best - instructional tutorials I have ever seen! Honestly mate, I was keen to see a circle cutting jig and then when I saw T-Track and bolts etc I kind of lost interest because I thought it was way beyond what I was capable of, but your video was so easy to follow and the fact you showed the elements where you kept improving was a total bonus. Well done mate!
Thanks Ryno! Such a pleasant comment to come along and read, and I like to think that even though this was never supposed to be a how-to channel, some people might get some tips and ideas along the way. To be honest, channels like yours have shown me that including the progression (either the making of mistakes, or discovery of improvements along the way) makes the videos more relatable & enjoyable to watch, so I'll hopefully keep doing this going forward. Thanks for watching!
@@WoodenItBeGrand Oh mate, that is just wonderful to hear. Personally - and the way my brain works, is that seeing the problems and how they were created/solved is much more beneficial to me than just following a 5 step list. Cheers mate!
Thanks Suj! The main reason I created it was to trim down the end of an old wine barrel that I don't want holes in so it will definitely come in handy. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Ainslee! Yes, I can see this concept could be applied in a few areas, including table saws. Then perhaps bevel edges on circles? 🤔 Wow! Endless possibilities.
Thanks Luke. Hoping to use it often, but time (& procrastination) will tell!

Hi Jamie, This is really great idea. Useful and practical. It's now easy to cut circles on the band saw. It's a very nice jig. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. (Dude did you get my tag?) See you soon. Big greetings. Kind regards. your friend Mehmet
Thanks Mehmet! Big hugs to you. Haven't got your stickers yet but international mail is taking a while. I will be sure to let you know when they arrive. Teşekkürler!

@@WoodenItBeGrand I am impatiently waiting for the news of the day you received it. Big greetings.
That's a great jig! I usually just grab a bit of plywood and a nail as I'm too lazy to make a nice jig 🤣🤣 but if I'm ever planning on making a bunch of circles I'll be looking at this for inspiration🍻
Thanks Grant. If the #woodjigs21 challenge wasn't on, I probably would have just used the nail in plywood method too! 🤣 All good. This jig will now hopefully last a lifetime. Thanks for watching!
Grüezi Lukas! Thanks for stopping in for a visit, and yes, this is one jig I have been wanting to make for a long time. Just subbed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing your future creations. Vielen Danke.
Thanks for checking in Jesper. I've been working hard on some paid jobs outside of the workshop, and with our borders opened recently I took some time to visit family that I haven't been able to catch up with in a while. Just got notifications of 500 hours of watch time so I'll be pushing hard to release more content over the next few weeks. Happy New Year to you and looking forward to what 2022 brings us all! tak for din omtanke
Simple ideas are always the best, that's a great one, good stuff! I have (if it was cheap and crappy) the same hole cutting tool I've been known in the past to take a hammer or pliers to the teeth, tapping them in or out, in order to get a hole which is marginally bigger or smaller 😉 I'm not saying it's good practice, but as it's a cheaper tool, it doesn't make me feel bad 😂
Best thing about homemade jigs is you CAN adjust them the way you want. And if you mess it up too much, just build another. And there are just so many ways to skin a kangaroo. 🐱 Cheers for the watch!
Brilliant idea. If I ever get a bandsaw, I'll have to make this!
Thanks Jesper! Maybe you can make something similar for your chainsaw!!! :D
Hope you're well.
That's a very clever jig. Think I will have to pinch this idea. Great job Jamie.

Thanks again for giving us all the prompt to get creative. I'm loving all the entries. Cheers!

What a super handy jig, love the idea of not putting a nail mark in the piece. Awesome job Jamie!
Thanks Anthony! Now I've got no excuse & better start using it. Stay tuned. 😁

Nice jig Jamie. Perfect for no holes circles. Effective use of double sided tape (... and doughnuts 🍩) 😁👍

Great jig Jamie!!! Great idea with no hole. This would also work on a table saw. Love it. Thanks for sharing!
