I just got the replacement this morning. I had a 3.7 quart model but they shipped me a 5.8 quart! I cut the cord and took the photos on March 1st, so I probably filled out their forms the next day or so. I'm super happy with their service and highly recommend them.

@@catherineostrom7575 They emailed me that I was going to get a model that looked like it would be a 3.9 quart. But when I received it I saw that it was 5.8 quart. Maybe they didn't have anything smaller at the time. It actually is only about 1" wider, deeper and higher. Not much larger on the outside. The fry basket itself is about 1.5" wider and deeper but the same height. The extra surface area is nice.
I had a 3.7 Cosori AF, and as a result of the recall, they sent me a 5.8 Pro II Air Fryer. The reason I had gotten the 3.7 was due to small counterspace, so I was disappointed when I saw the 5.8. I contacted Cosori, and they offered me $20 via PayPal. Unfortunately, $20 won't buy me more counterspace. I didn't respond to their offer and the 5.7 is still in the box. I suppose I'll wait to see if I need a handy wedding present so I can gift it.
I am currently waiting for my replacement I chose the indoor grill I can't wait to use it !!!😊

Since I already had the pro II waiting in the closest for future replacement I used that one and ordered the indoor grill for replacement. Haven't received it yet but I am using the pro II everyday just like I used the recalled unit.
I love my new pro II! I'm kind of regretting not choosing the indoor grill, but when I first signed up for the recall I wasn't planning on getting the Pro II. You'll have to let me know how you like the grill though! Thanks for watching! ❤️

Before you trash your old fryer. See if the old tray fits the new one and continue using that one and save the new one. I'm wondering if the older heating element is the same as the new one. Nice to have a backup part if needed later. Consider all parts that you can save.
Yes! the old basket fits my new Cosori Pro II! Not sure about the heating element - but I'm going to hang onto it for sure!
Just brought the 5 QT today.
Peoples be advised that takes 6 weeks or more to receive the replacement, this is my 5 week and I don't have the replacement, and the old one have the cord cut. No air fryer for 6 weeks.
I have the 5.8 model. Before I knew about the recall, the Cosori air fryer was acting strangely, it was frying, even when I open the basket, overheating. I was very happy with it, but defective unfortunately, I cut the cord and recalled it. Still waiting shipping!
Mine was recalled. I bought a Cosori Pro ll right away as I cant go a long time without an airfryer. I did fill out the registration on 02/24/2023. It is taking awhile for them to work though all of those. I dont have confirmation that of them sending a new one yet. Thank you for this video. I got myself a Pro II while I'm waiting! I filled mine out on the 26th, I got an email today saying it was approved but hasn't shipped yet. I'm glad I didn't wait!

Well I thought mine was on the list. Cut the cord, took the photos and submitted the recall forms. Got an email a few days later saying mine wasn't included in the recall. Nothing else. So I now have a unit with no cord. Thanks Cosori. Ordered an Instant air fryer on sale.
You weren't supposed to cut the cord until it was verified to be on the list. Did you follow their instructions? If not, don't blame Cosori.
Got mine for Christmas and it was on the list. Cut the cord the other day, sent in the pics and a few days later I got an email saying it's in process and now "ready to ship" pretty fast! I'm impressed...let's see when it shows up!

I had this airfryer and it was awesome! I got rid of mine a few months back and got the ninja.
I love it! I replaced it with the Pro II while I wait for my recall replacement. Aren't the ninja ones really expensive? I think if I had to pick a non cosori one I'd go with instant brand.
I am an IDIOT!! - I panicked when the recall hit the news, didn't realise that it only affected 120 volt models (not the 240v ones we use in the UK) and returned my newly acquired and still boxed 3.7 to Amazon post haste. Replaced it with a Tefal EY505827 which is inferior in almost every way. Now I'm faced with either keeping the damn thing and making the best of a bad job, or returning it to Amazon and replacing it with another Cosori.
My local Amazon returns point is now closed for the day, but I'll be waiting on their doorstep when they open tomorrow morning!

I have a replacement for a recall but the replacement outlet jack burns all the way to my electrical outlet. Don't know if I can still have another replacement.
I opted to choose a different unit & my Aeroblaze was delivered within two weeks. NYC for reference.
If I had it to do over again, that's what I would have done too 😂 hindsight is 20-20 😂

Do you have one of the less common units? Color other than black? Or wifi enabled? It might be what's holding it up. Try reaching out to cosori on fb by dm. They helped me that way. But be forewarned - they take awhile to answer.
@cookingforsingles it was wifi but black. I'm Canadian and have heard that might be why. I've reached out once and they got back to me advising it was still being processed. I expected to wait awhile. I can't imagine replacing 2 million units. Your video is helpful. Thanks!
@@kath4454 I had wifi black as well and at least in the US, they are out of stock. They offered me black non wifi, or wifi but my choice of gray or blue. If you want either one of those I would dm them (don't call - the offline team that handles dm's has access to info that a phone rep doesn't). I'm glad the video was useful! Thank you for watching! You don’t need to send it back. The bottom gets really hot, and if you are ok with that, then just keep it. I have granite and just decided to keep it
It’s been over a month since my recall registration was approved. In the email saying it was confirmed, it said my replacement would be shipped within 2 to 3 weeks but I haven’t received anything in over a month. Not even a shipping notice. I’m very disappointed not having an air fryer to use for so long.

I have the one with shake in it and it started smoking really bad . I was thinking maybe it needs cleaning around burner ?
I filled out their paperwork and sent it all in the day the recall came out and I received my replacement in 9 days.

I have the CP 168 AF model it is not on the recall listing but it does have bacon icon on lower left on front panel

Great video! I believe that Cosori products are outstanding. However, I feel they are offering this recall in order to avoid possible lawsuits for putting out the defective units. They're covering their butts lol and I don't blame them. I also applaud them for the way they are taking care of their customers.

I submitted my replacement on Feb 28 and just received an email today, April 13, that my replacement is being processed for shipping and will arrive in 6-8+ weeks! Ugh! This is taking way too long. Wish I had bought an upgrade instead now.
I wanted the bread maker as a replacement but they were out of stock of that, so I got the indoor grill. I got the email my recall registration was approved about two weeks ago, but nothing so far on the replacement shipping.
I think they might be out of stock of the indoor grill. DM cosori on fb to find out what's going on. it's more effective than calling. good luck!
what about the ones that are sold in europe? i live in greece and i'm thinking about geting it but after all this recall thing, maybe i should think about it twice?
The recall was only for north America as I think through most of Europe the voltage is different. I still 100% believe in cosori and even bought a cosori pro II while I was waiting for my replacement. I want to buy more of their products in the future in fact. I think it's a great brand but always do your research - you may have different wants/needs than me.

They didn't release much information on it, probably because it is dangerous to try and fix it yourself. This is what they say though - " in extremely rare circumstances, the closed-end crimp connectors within the recalled air fryers - which are responsible for establishing electrical connections between certain wires - can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards"
THANK YOU for the info. Mine is on the list the list and I have been trying to sign up for a replacement but Cosori is rejecting my photos. I guess I need to buy a better camera / cell phone in order to replace my air fryer. They are not accepting phone calls - just get a message saying "call back later".
Mine was doing the same thing saying the pictures were bigger than 5mb which they weren't come to find out it was because they were in the wrong format for them to accept them. Take a screen shot of the picture that you took and try to submit the screenshot instead of the actual picture. Worked for me! Good Luck I was about to go crazy 🤔
I had similar issues. It was due to the size of the pic. Send the pic through WhatsApp and save the pic from there. That helped because WhatsApp compress pics
Hello! Does anyone knows what to do with the broken cosori air fryer? I got my replacement last week but they haven't told me what to do with the damage one
first if you got the same size replacement, keep the inner basket (will fit any of the same sized models - i.e., a 5.8 qt old inner basket will fit the new 5.8 qt gen 2 or pro II). you should be able to take the rest of the air fryer to best buy or similar store for recycling.
If you investigate further Cosori say it only affects 120 volt versions with complaints from USA Canada and Mexico who have a different electrical system Here in the Uk we use 230 volt electrical system I understand the problem being an electrical connector not being crimped tight enough causing overheating Amazon sell worldwide but in the Uk you would be buying the 230 volt version ! The model number will be the same Try plugging in a 120 volt one if you manage to buy one ( don't think so here in the UK )
There's another video that you may need to leave that comment on. It's by Graham gets about, saying he had a recalled unit but he's in the UK. It made me so mad I couldn't get all the way through it. He was all upset at the recall but was apparently too distraught to Google the fact that he wasn't affected. 😡

we already threw ours away we heard about the recall, and it cause fire. Any chance I can get a replacement without showing I cut the plug? I have a picture of the bottom serial information.
You should contact Cosori to see if they can help. As far as I know you have to show the picture of the cut cord.

It depends on what model you have. If you have the pro II, it has its own button. On the Pro or pro Gen 2 there is no separate button. But you can use the frozen food button (looks like a snowflake) and just adjust to the time and temp you need. The shake reminder will go off halfway through the cooking time. Hope that helps! I see some people’s replacement comes in a refurb style box rather than the full colour retail box. Are they actually refurbs?
As far as I can tell, they are not refurbs. I can't get in to see it anymore, but when I registered to receive my replacement it said that the replacement units had been tested to ensure that they don't have the defect in question. This may be why they are shipping in non retail packaging. Or, it could just be that what you saw is the outer box they ship in. For example, I just bought a new Cosori Pro II from Amazon, and it comes in a plain brown box but when you open that, it has the retail box inside.

The first one was the airfryer in your video and the other was a newer cosori airfryer but it was 4.7lt. so i wondered if you saw that one and if you had any idea if it is any good or not. i was struggling to choose between the two but i decided to buy the new smaller airfryer. i'm sorry if i confused you :)

I registered for the extended warranty. My air fryer is on the list, but I have not heard anything from Cosori. I wouldn't have known about the recall if I had not been watching UA-cam videos. Is it possible that not all batch numbers from a model are in the recall?
As far as I am aware, all batch numbers for a particular model are included. Maybe an email from them ended up in spam or promotions? Just I thought. I know I miss all kinds of stuff because Google thinks it's smarter than me. 😕 At any rate, if you want to verify I would reach out to Cosori. I called awhile back and there was no wait to speak with sufferings.

I have sent more than 4 sets of pictures per the instructions and keep requesting more pictures claiming that the pictures are not clear or chopped. The pictures are very clear and show cut cord. Cosori Recall Support has been very difficult and disappointing.
I'm so sorry to here that! Have you actually spoken to anyone on the phone that could tell you what's wrong? Sometimes speaking to someone is more effective than email (or vice versa). I wish you the best of luck with this! I still believe in Cosori and I believe you'll get your replacement. You may also want to check it the official Cosori air fryer and pressure cooker group on Facebook - lots of ppl have been paying their experiences with the recall. You might find some answers there! As someone cooking imparied, would you recommend an Air Fryer if you are a super novice in cooking?
i think it's perfect for a novice cook! what i use it for the most is just cooking up a chicken breast with some veggies. the thing that i would recommend is getting a meat thermometer (nothing fancy - mine was like $15). you want to cook stuff for less time than you think it will need when you're first starting out air frying. take its temperature and add more time if needed. i'm glad you asked - it would be great for a future video!
@@cookingforsingles a meat thermometer. Why didn't I think of that. I "cooked" up some sausage threw it in a crock pot with cold soup and well let's just say my body did not react well. I'm buying a meat thermometer, maybe an air fryer I'm really big into physical fitness and not eating "fried" foods. Get it fried air fryer ha ha ha.

I have had two very different emails from recall one says the UK isn't affected the other to choose a replacement. I'm waiting for a reply as I don't know what to do. I sent them a photo which I will try and send you but I can't do it on here. Mine has a bacon not a shaker I bought it from Amazon. Very confused. Diane
Where were the emails from? Did you get one from Cosori and one from Amazon by any chance?
From all the information I can find, UK is not affected due to the voltage being different. If you still have doubts your should be able to email Cosori at support.eu@cosori.com (this was the only UK related email I could find. It's from a Facebook post from 2020). Check your user manual for a phone number or email if that doesn't work.

The first 3 pics i sent them they had an issue with because i could not get a clear pic of the model # of the label underneath...i have a terrible cell phone camera, (and cell phone), and an extremely old IMac with a not so good webcam, so i could not get a clear photo...So i sent them an email and told them i would have to send more than 3 pics and describe some stuff, so that i could prove i have one...Since i could not get a good photo of the label underneath i took pics of the label # on the box, and a bunch of the pics of the air fryer, and a short video, but still could not prove the model number underneath, (although i'm sure the box helped), so i sent them a screenshot of my order with Amazon from a year ago...So they accepted that and sent me a replacement within 2 weeks of me sending the pics, but they did not give me an option to choose from, so they just sent a basic one with a dial like i had before, which i actually never used...Still haven't used the new one, but i was hoping to get upgraded to the Dual Blaze...Oh well...grateful anyway...🐦
It’s not all cosori air fryers. Your going to have to be very specific on the model cosori you’re talking about in your title before you get panicked people not wanting to buy any cosori air fryers
I had to go around & around with Cosori to get ok'ed for a replacement & am still waiting. The real pisser was their requirement that I cut the cord. Then they said my model wasn't covered under the warranty. After I sent them a scathing email they ok'ed a replacement. Pretty sketchy, in my opinion.
That definitely sucks! Keep in mind though that you're dealing with customer service - they're just doing what they're instructed to do and some reps are better than others. Every company has this problem. My replacement is finally on the way - it was delayed bc they were attempting to honor replacing with the same model. The wifi version that I had was out of stock, but once I contacted them and agreed to a non wifi replacement, they sent it right out. Should be here tomorrow.

As far as I could tell from the recall submission form, yes. They will send a replacement unit that is the same model as what you had before but the replacement has been tested to make sure it doesn't have the defect that can potentially cause fires. It said on the form that they'll try to send you exactly what you had before but if they don't have your color they'll send a black one. I wish I had gotten a screenshot but I was more concerned with getting my submission in. That being said, if you have doubts you can select a different item as your replacement and just buy another air fryer of your choice. I bought a Cosori Pro II myself and I'm waiting for my recall replacement to be shipped.
@Cooking for Singles interesting because when my husband talk to a representative from Amazon he told my husband that they needed to give us a newer model.
@@ivetten8502 Amazon isn't handling the recall, so if you got Amazon to issue a refund or replacement, then that would be correct since Amazon no longer sells the 5.8 qt Pro. I can only provide the information I got from the recall website.

sent mine back to amazon, got a dual drawer one instead and thats in england was nothing wrong with cosori but i wanted a dual and used the recall as a refund to get dual

One customer service representative told me something totally different than during my prior call. They obviously want to drag this out so that fewer replacement units will be sent. I am done with Cosori.
yes had same issues , waited about 12 moths just to have them finally send an email saying i was not approved because someone already sent in a request. They claim some people use other peoples photos and share with others to get free models. Beware of this , I got this a a gift and will continue to use it i guess , I looked up how to fix the issue. As for cossori their customer service sucks and they are a terrible company and I would never buy from them.

Rejected claim 2 times. Did everything as required incl cutting cord. Still rejected.
Gonna toss mine in the dumpster and not get another Cosori. Ain't worth the 3rd time or effort.
Going to the website does not work either because it goes not accept the code sent by Cosori. I understand registering the initial is not mandatory but I had the same problem trying to register my unit when I purchased it so I respectfully disagree their customer service is fantastic. Here is my prediction for what will happen:. 6-,8 werks from now they will file bankruptcy and everyone will just be out of luck. Good luck to you all. I pray I am wrong.
I don’t care about recalls. That’s just for people who don’t use their fryer properly and end up breaking it by adding lots of oil and stuff to it using it like an oil fryer😂😂😂😂 I know lots of people that do this and don’t want to be told their doing it wrong then bitch when it breaks
You also can't use parchment paper without food on it to preheat. It will be drawn into the heating element and catch fire. But, how many read instructions?

useless - recall after model was thrown away - amazon does not supply model numbers so not edible recall - never again (although will not live without another air-fryer from another maker)
