The reptiles from Prime 3 had amazing lore. They were technologically advanced enough to rub elbows with the Chozo. But a massive civil war and breakdown of their culture essentially led to their own nuclear apocalypse on themselves, resetting them back to basically feral cavemen. The actual lizard "enemies" you fight on Bryyo ARE the actual Bryyonians, utterly regressed to the state of being violent beasts. Unless you scan the environment you'd never learn about their history.
it would be great to see these species mentioned more but for now i more wanna see a return of the races we DID see in Hunters, particularly i'd like to see the space pirates given a rest and bring in the Kriken Empire as the big bad guy faction
I doubt the Space Pirates will take a backseat. We're in the era of memberberries, no way the first proper Prime game in 18 years will skip Samus's key adversary.
Hopefully we atleast get more info on them. There was also the Monks of Grondheim that were mentioned as possible trade partners for the Space Pirates on a computer scan in Metroid Prime. Would be cool if they brought them into Prime 4 aswell.
It would make me so happy for the luminoth to make an appearance in prime 4. It does seem very likely that they will, given the hints of portal technology in the prime 4 trailer. Considering that Sylux is making a comeback after his minor role in a ds game from almost 20 years ago, I could picture them finally showing us the ylla too
This is the type of stuff devs these days are too cowardly to lean into. Just because a story was told years ago doesn't mean it needs rewritten, the best lore in long lived series is that which stays consistent, no remakes changing the story. If they build on current lore and flesh out ambiguous lore while staying true, they can build a real universe that feels more tangible.
@@robertkenny1201 Yeah I'm just curious about the timeline of that - maybe we'll get simple HD ports this fall/winter before Prime 4, but Retro is probably fully busy with Prime 4 so I'm not sure who would work on it. Unfortunately I doubt we'll get full graphical overhauls like we did for prime 1 but I'd love just to have ports of the other two so they can be played on a modern system.
@crywolfplays actually considering the sales of the first Prime games Remaster I think they might get full HD Remasters, espically when you consider the massive stock shortage the Prime 1 Remaster suffered the first couple of weeks it was out.
Very cool research, Ilya show up twice so probably more likely for them. But man I really hope the luminoth come back. Prime 2 made me care about the luminoth more than any other metroid game has made me care about the chozo. something so legendary about U-Mos helping you throughout the whole journey, lending you their power thru the light suit, and saving their race from extinction just hits different.
Yeah, Prime 2 is unique in that you successfully save the alien species and their planet before its too late, I loved the luminoth design and lore, I hope they make an appearance again somehow.
I hope we get to explore the planets we couldn't go to from the space pirate base hologram galaxy map in prime 1. Imagine the horrors of visiting a sentient anihilator gas virus in a planet or the twin fever planet.
I hope we see the Ylla but also hope we don't, because I was working on a Metroid fanproject with my ideas for the Ylla and it would be awkward if canon winds up doing something completely different with them ^.^;
@@crywolfplays Yeah I really hope if we get HD remasters of Prime 2 and 3 they will update the scan logs to clarify whether or not the where meant to be the same species but then got renamed after they got an actual design concept. If we don't then I'm just gonna assume they are actually seperate species. Though it would be a missed opportunity to tighten the story a bit more.

How can anyone play a prime game and not scan the lore, that’s crazy!

Yeah I wonder if we'll see other bounty hunters besides silux

I didn't know this, that's cool too

That's be awesome, If u-mos came back I'd be so happy

I hope we see the ylla and the N’kren
I just hope they HD Remaster the other two Primes games someday.
The dream
@@crywolfplays It may become a reality after the sales of the first games Remaster.

@@robertkenny1201 I hope so, I have other videos on my channel about Prime 2 and 3 remakes, I think there's so much potential there.
mfw someone actually pronounces Aether correctly :DDDDDDDD
Love mp2!
When was the name first said?

"N'kren" might just be the native word for the Reptilicus.
I like that theory
