My brother bought the album home, when i was thirteen i have always had the time to lisen to them since. My brother passed away in February of this year RIP Terry I hope you are listening and thank you for being you bro x
This is one of the most influential guitar (learning how to play) bands when I was in my teens thru 30's. They are totally un-rewarded, under-rated, and un-publicized.
I remember that Night Of The Guitars tour, it was really great, I saw them in Florence and I totally fell in love with Wishbone Ash there. They were great.
I can watch this and all the over versions over and over again...I grew up listening to this ...superb doesn't even come close when trying to describe it
Nostalgia has me in her grips. This was one of my favorite bands in the 70's. and they still did this stuff into nearly the 90's? Classical rock intelligence.
THE MOST UNDERRATED BAND OF THIS ERA. INCREDIBLE LIVE. THEIR GUITAR WORK WAS SECOND TO NONE.I LOVED THIS BAND. I WAS INTO PROGRESSIVE ROCK, BUT THESE GUYS WERE UP THERE WITH ALL THE BANDS I LIKED. (Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, ELP, Camel, etc. etc.)
This is the original WA lineup, from the early 70's, they got back together from 1987 until about 1990. Marin Turner was a great vocalist. One of the greatest bands of all time.
Great twin lead guitar. Very much underated. Had the pleasure of seeing them in concert in Germany in 1978. One of my Army buddies turned me on to them. I'm glad he did. I guess I prefer Laurie as the other lead guitar.
@SlickSmooth22 Interesting assertion, quite commendable. I like this band very much, I saw them in the late 70's. There is a lot of hope in their music, which is not always the case. But what is your take on Jethro Tull, and, even more on the folk side, Steeleye Span? Have they not contributed big time to the combination you are referring to? (although Tull added even more elements to their one of a kind mix)
Can some one tell me is this still the line up that made the Album "Argus"? I can tell the drummer is different just wondering if the guitarists are still the same. Thanks.
I used to listen this tune a lot in my 20's in Japan. I'm 58 years now but still love the tune. One of the best tune in music history. great band.

I didnt hear this song for over 25 years and since some months I NEED to hear it at least once a week! I am adicted to it.
"simply irresistible"

one of the greatest riffs of all time from probably the best rock album of the 70's!
I remember that Night Of The Guitars tour, it was really great, I saw them in Florence and I totally fell in love with Wishbone Ash there. They were great.
Wishbone Ash are a marvelous group.
I seen them play this live in Birkenhead.
They're still amazing even to this day.

I just discovered this band. Sad that I've never heard of this genius band till now

I know how good the twin guitars are, but the bass and drums underneath, especially that bass sound, are superb.
Saw Martin Turners Wishbone Ash last night, superb music, brilliant.
Mind-blowing stuff
takes me back to that place...
Yea, Wishbone Ash songs tend to do that to a person. Can't get enough.
WHAT A GUITARIST

remembering the road. lost friends, and fresh wind just looking the sun...
sounded good in the 70's still rockn Keep it up el conkeestador
For me, Mark Birch captures the songs solo the best.

Rock on!
we recorded a live version of this for our "live at the Budokan" LP in77 What a brilliant song from a brilliant band!
super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
What a guitarsound!
Great!!! Amazing!
awesome track, saint sluggo. love this band.
Such an amazing performance but such a great band. Wishbone Ash are forgotten legends because too many are listening to emo crap and hip hop crap.
in a generation wher emusic is computer generated and screaming. its good to remember that theres still some real guitar palyer out there... rock!
Perfect performance!
They sure do keep commin' back! :)
Saw the 89 reunion Leamington gig, unforgetable.
I did an interview with Steve Upton in 1988 and that is certainly him on the drums - great original line up reunion too bad it did not last.
would love to see them play here in ireland
On tour in Germany in february 2011 - a MUST see
2011-02-21 Hamburg, Fabrik
2011-02-22 Kiel, Pumpe

Was soll ich zu diesem Song sagen ?
Für mich einer der wirklich besten der jemals auf diesem Globus gespielt wurde.

They're playing NYC I think tomorrow. Added a 6th lead guitar for occasion.

Wow.
@cmikex2 This is the original bands original members. Steve upton is on drums.
Only TOP!!!
That's definitely Steve Upton. ;-)

2 years of happiness?
Is Steve Upton on drums?
I love the Ash and this tune, but call a radio station and ask them to spin it and see how hard they laugh. I cant understand it.
