quelle perf. pour moi Alvin Lee est un des cinq meilleurs guitaristes au monde, une technique incroyable, rapidité, précision dans le blues comme dans le rock. Respect Mr Lee merci pour toutes ces belles chansons.
Leo Lyons on bass. One of the greatest bass licks. Alvin Lee - most underrated guitarist of all time. Saw TYA many times at Cobo Arena in Detroit in the 1970's
saw them back in 95 in a Blues festival in Belgium called the " Boogie Blues festival " - one of the most phenomenal live performance i have ever witnessed . We were literally pushed against the wall because they were playing so deep & hard .
I was 15 in 1973 and 10 years after was My 2nd concert ever. A space in time had been released a year earlier and Alvin and the Boys Kicked Ass ! The opening act that night was a new band that I had never heard of , Z Z Top . What a night !
Alvin Lee was one of the greats. This was 10th grade for me. Stoned to the bone .. take me back lord I wanna relive my days rock on to all the greats ❤
Personally, I say Jack Bruce is the greatest bass player of all time. But Leo Lyons.. No one had his speed. He never, ever used a pic and to watch. Leo Lyons and Alvin Lee together was just insane. I saw ten years after every time they came to vancouver bc...
He’s definitely great, but seems like his blood is about 50% amphetamines by volume. He’s thumping that bass so hard I expected to see bloody streaks all over that nice white shirt of his.
Alvin lee, one of the greatest guitarist i know of. There is NO ONE these days and times that can just pick up a guitar, plug it into an amp and belt out songs like he could. Everthing today is done with a lot of electronic gadgets that cannot even begin to play like Alvin did with just a guitar and amp. Fantastic showmanship. Just a shame that everything has to be done electronically. In my book there will never be anyone who can even rival his style of playing. I am 66 years old and i long for the good ole days. Miss you Alvin and your music.
I'm a huge Alvin Lee fan but there are still great players coming up. Have a listen to Billy Strings. He plays mostly acoustic bluegrass but can rip electric too. Different style than Alvin but a phenomenal picker.

Hola Enríque! Amo el rock soy hetero.
Look at Leo play that bass
quelle perf. pour moi Alvin Lee est un des cinq meilleurs guitaristes au monde, une technique incroyable, rapidité, précision dans le blues comme dans le rock. Respect Mr Lee merci pour toutes ces belles chansons.
GROOVING ON THIS IN 2019. ✌
44 YEARS AFTER. 😊
Good One Sport.
@@rodericksloan1255 Thanx dude. 😊
Saw Ten Years After three times back in the 70s - and was on to the band long before the Woodstock movie made them superstars. Sad that Alvin is gone.
He was the most underrated guitar player ever!!
Alvin Lee, Rory Gallagher and Robin Trower. The Holy Trinity of the six string !
One of my favorite bluesmen of all time. His guitar dripped with what he was feeling.
Ah yes. Bit of flashback. Living situation, unfortunately, won't allow me to crank it to eleven!
Wonder if Leo had any skin left on his fingers after a show
they don't jam like that no more.
Thats a shame...That dont jam with a a wall of Marshall amps and a Hammond organ on a small club stage anymore ......
they dont know how
I can assure you they do in the suburbs! My friends will make it big, they're called Dionysian \,,/,
One of the things I can certainly say about this group they know how to keep perfect time. 1970s were the best
I was born in 73 and my dad would play this on the weekends and car rides!
my most favorite guitarist when i was a teen,he's still ranks as one of the best in my opinion. iv'e got ``ten years after'' all over my pandora.
Good on ya Chris.
My favorit in 52 years
Leo played bass like Alvin played guitar
His bass really drove that lead to where it needed to be. His speed was blistering, Maybe his mind too. It was the '70s.
Saw this legendary band & guitar virtuoso in 1972 at the Bangor,Maine, Auditorium Amazing show, wish I could remember more of it.
👍 Alvin has some great facial expressions to go along with his blistering guitar playing!
Leo Lyons on bass. One of the greatest bass licks. Alvin Lee - most underrated guitarist of all time. Saw TYA many times at Cobo Arena in Detroit in the 1970's
You were lucky and blessed to witness such musicianship!
Okay
saw them back in 95 in a Blues festival in Belgium called the " Boogie Blues festival " - one of the most phenomenal live performance i have ever witnessed . We were literally pushed against the wall because they were playing so deep & hard .
I was lucky enough to have seen them at Cobo Hall too. Many great shows in Detroit ñ
Leo Lyons is the Angus Young of bass...
I was 15 in 1973 and 10 years after was My 2nd concert ever. A space in time had been released a year earlier and Alvin and the Boys Kicked Ass ! The opening act that night was a new band that I had never heard of , Z Z Top . What a night !
what a trip✌!
Alvin Lee was one of the greats. This was 10th grade for me. Stoned to the bone .. take me back lord I wanna relive my days rock on to all the greats ❤
Alvin Lee .. .. Top 10 guitars ever forever .. .. Maybe ?
His fucking Incredible magic
+PurpleAndZeppelin --- it doesn't really matter, but he was great...
PurpleAndZeppelin the top 1
top 10 shredder but for me buckethead is number one and... alive
He's in my top 3!!!! While there are many greats-- Peter Townsend, Alvin Lee, and Rory Gallagher should be in everybodys top 5!!!
@@thomasfoss9963 RORY GALLAGHER....
THE BEST
I saw him live at the Filmore East with Janis Joplin and The Staple Singers, absolutely fantastic
Brilliant Old School
Hello Elizabeth Carson
Elizabeth Carson ,i am agree! Khamid.
That's how it was meant to be. Loved them in my teens and at 65 they just get better, wishing I was LOL
Alvin Lee & Leo Lyons, an unbeatable combo!
Personally, I say Jack Bruce is the greatest bass player of all time. But Leo Lyons.. No one had his speed. He never, ever used a pic and to watch. Leo Lyons and Alvin Lee together was just insane. I saw ten years after every time they came to vancouver bc...
Like the McHolmes n Kelce combo🤔
To watch him, he never payed a note either@@BuckrBill
I was 12 or 13 when I heard Alvin et. al I don't know why folks still aren't discovering what rockin out is all about
Alvin and Johnny Winter...please,if you don't understand'em don't speak.
Mauizio Y - I play guitar and I get your challenge, Bruh'...Too many elitists just don't get Lee and Winter, RIP rockers...
Johnny Winter/Rick Derringer, Fillmore West, 1969. 'nuff said
Johnny winter wasn’t a rock player though
Johnny rocked this song even harder than Alvin.
This song is so good, look how fast the bass player is. AWESOME!
You are absolutely right he shreds the bass
In deed iv listend, 2 this band for 5& a 1/2 Decades unreal,
He’s definitely great, but seems like his blood is about 50% amphetamines by volume. He’s thumping that bass so hard I expected to see bloody streaks all over that nice white shirt of his.

Alvin Lee always a gracious gentleman gave a bow then an applause to his bandmate Leo Lyons what a Legend!!
As good as Alvin was, you just can't take your eyes OR ears off of Leo. Just spectacular playing.
A guy commented on here, I SWEAR he said he saw this concert in person + Leo broke a string!!! Wow!!
I am hardly surprised. The surprise is he actually had to hit a string to do that. @@davidmartin7081
Definitely one of the greatest, and was not into a lot of overdubs. Just plug in instruments crank up the amps and let the music go.
Saw him here in Miami about mid seventies. Just Alvin Lee.
Joe Hicks you are so right and I’m 74 Alvin Lee brilliant this was good music
I'm a huge Alvin Lee fan but there are still great players coming up. Have a listen to Billy Strings. He plays mostly acoustic bluegrass but can rip electric too. Different style than Alvin but a phenomenal picker.
One of the fastest player to watch saw him woodstock
I saw him at Woodstock as well but I was 13 ! One sneak away weekend!!
