Neoptolemus is one I was the most hyped for in the Troyjan war. He is almost always neglected and forgotten, but I hoped you would bring him up. And you never disappoint.

Although Neoptolemus is neglected and forgotten, it is said that Neoptolemus assassinated King Priam during the taking of the city after the strategy of the hollow Trojan horse, it is said that Priam tried to defend himself by wielding weapons but his wife Ecuba dissuaded him and took him to a altar of the palace to commend himself to the gods there Neoptolemus grabbed him by the hair and he cut his neck leaving his corpse unburied, an alternate version tells that Neoptolemus took Priam to the tomb of his father Achilles and there Neoptolemus killed him last Trojan king.

Neoptolemus in Greek means Νέος Π(τ)όλεμος i.e. the New Warrior. He was called also Pyrrhus from his auburn hair which resembled the fire (Πυρα=fire in Greek). Neoptolemus/Pyrrhus after the Trojan War, moved to Epirus, and founded the Molossian Kingdom, which took the name from Neoptolemus's son, Molossus, who became the founder of the Aeacidae Dynasty of Epirus (with both Pyrrhus and Alexander the Great, being descendents). Excellent video again! Can"t wait for the return of Philoctetes with the Bow of Heracles (a story in which Neoptolemus had a significant role),and the death of Paris.

If Odysseus found Achilles when he was 15 and war lasted 10 years. He died being 25/26 years old. If he had Neoptolemus at 16, when the failed expedition to Mysia happened, means that the boy was Just 9 and 13 at most if Achilles did the thing when he was really young. Any way, he looks way older on here.

So spoke Odysseus to the ghost of Achilles in the Underworld: "Verily of noble Peleus have I heard naught, but as touching thy dear son, Neoptolemus, I will tell thee all the truth, as thou biddest me. [...] All of them I could not tell or name, all the host that he slew in defence of the Argives; but what a warrior was that son of Telephus whom he slew with the sword, the prince Eurypylus! Aye, and many of his comrades, the Ceteians, were slain about him, because of gifts a woman craved." (Homer, Odyssey)
Later authors said that Eurypylus led an army of Mysians, and not of Ceteians, likely because he was the son of the king of Mysia Telephus. I personally think that this was also because nobody in Greece had an idea about who the Ceteians (Keteioi) were. They were likely the same ones the Egyptians and the Assyrians named "Khatti" and we name Hittites, who were in charge of a powerful empire set in Anatolia during the Late Bronze Age. Notably, the Hittites themselves reported that they were once at war against the Great King of Ahhiyawa for Wilusha, likely meaning they made war against the Achaeans for Ilios/Troy.
That said, given the fact the sources are not clear what people was lead by Eurypylus at war against the Achaeans, I personally think it is quite understandable that the authors of this wonderful video decided to skip that detail.

To me, Song of Achilles is one of the most bizarre books. Madeline Miller claimed she'd taken inspiration from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, yet I found it hard to relate it.
(also I couldn't relate it to Virgil's Aeneid either. It looked most likely to be written from an entire different perspective)

They were really prominent leaders and by some versions reinforced the Achaean Lines around this time along with Pyrrhus and Philoctetes instead of already being present. Please add them I beg you,

This third season must already reappear Philoctetes, since a prophecy said that Troy would not fall if the Greek side did not have in their weapons the bow and arrows of Hercules and let us remember that Hercules entrusted Philoctetes with his bow and his quiver of arrows of the blood of Idra of Lerna, and let us remember that in the first episode of the second season the Greeks under the orders of Odysseus abandoned him on the island of Lemnos, if it were not for the weapons of Hercules the wounded Philoctetes would not have been able to defend himself or hunt birds to feed, so in the next chapter Odysseus returned to Lemnos alone or accompanied by Neoptolemus or Diomedes to try to convince Philoctetes to accompany them to Troy.

Carry on the great animations and the wonderful re-telling of the myths. Do stick to the Greek names, though. All the other Achaean heroes are known by their Greek names, so lets have the same for Neoptolemus and Heracles. You've thankfully avoided calling Odysseus Ulysses.
