i've been watching your videos since my second year of college, and years later i'm here again to understand more the work i'm doing. thank you shomu!!
Thank you. Your teaching is so helpful and the best I’ve gotten. You put it in a way that the students understand the concept and that’s the best part.
As always a perfectly clear and fabulously concise explanation thank you so much. I now always go straight to your lectures for clarity on subjects so thank you very much.
Hey shomu, i've only just gotten into your vids this semester. They've been great for helping me with Immunology and Microbiology (lac operon). I appreciate the specificity of your videos. Keep it up!
Love your videos man! So clear, not over complicated. I'm currently working an internship at a biotech startup and your channel has probably been more helpful then any other channel on these topics. From the heart, I appreciate it! Keep it up!
Thanks a lot bro😍😍 ur teachings alwayss come handy for my exams.. The lessons i watch at the last min of exam wil always appear and fetch me marks😍😍 thanks a ton

@@shomusbiologyofficial I come from Indonesia, I continue my master's degree in KKU, Thailand and I have been watched your videos and really it's helpful for me, keep going on to create great content. thank so much.
The specific antibody atificially prepared used to be there in labs. Say if we(doctor) ask a patient to get a HIV test his serum is put in that well which would be already having HIV antibody so if he is HIV positive his serum would be surely having antigen that would bind the antibody of that well....
wrong description of Competitive Elisa. Competitive means competition between serum antibodies and commercially prepared enzyme linked antibodies to bind to antigen in well. So after adding substrate, we see color production. Color production is inversely related to the amount of serum antibody.
Dear Mr. Suman, One thing which wasn't clear to Me is that: Competitive E n Indirect E were alike except for the image of Antigen-Antibody Complex. The result would be the same right for both of them. Can You please explain on how to differentiate among a group of Antibodies??
hey I know its a bit confusing but indirect elisa is for detection of antibodies in serum and competitive is for detection of antigen just like direct but its more sesitive and efficient hope it helps
Sr in indirect elisa u had made the structure of antigen (green) similar to that of antibody added (black), u should made the initial (red) antibody similar to that of later added antibody(black) though differing in color... 2.U didn't mentioned the one of the fundamental principle I. e, the later added (black) antibody is specific to antigen and it didn't washed away bcz it got bonded and so the enYme also remaainwd in the well representing the color onward. .... Love ur videos... Take it as contructive criticism... Sharing peace and love...

I think the substrate added after addition of Enzyme-linked antibodies is Chromogenic (which is itself colirless but forms coloured end product)

i have one question though, how do you know which antibody to add in the beginning though?
Actually ELISA is done for a specific test like AIDS DENGIE etc... so the antibody differs for different tests...for further queries you can ask...
The specific antibody atificially prepared used to be there in labs.
Say if we(doctor) ask a patient to get a HIV test his serum is put in that well which would be already having HIV antibody so if he is HIV positive his serum would be surely having antigen that would bind the antibody of that well....

Was Direct Elisa the very first type of ELISA?
Basically identical to the overview technique.
No I think that was the Sandwich Technique ...not direct ELISA
