The only man that understood me, took it slow and wanted to get to know me was a WM. It was hard letting him go because I realized God wanted to work on other areas of me. He was 10 years older than me and when I say the absolute best listener and communicator ALSO understanding it was FOREIGN to me but I enjoyed it. This is funny. Being in my first interraccial relationship has been very eye opening for me as a BW. For one, my partner has been clear from the beginning about his plan, where i could and most likely will fit into that, and how expects both of us to execute certain aspects to make that happen. Secondly to be candid, i personally learned that the grass isnt necessarily greener. Meaning a MAN is a MAN. He DEFINTELY still tries me lol, BUT ill say this, hes much more able to see certain errors in BOTH of our ways and is very solution oriented, meaning he has some emotional things, and obviously(as a bw) i have lots of trauma and anger tbh that im healing... HE suggested seperate and couples counseling as a requirement if we were to ever stand a chance. THATS the difference. Thirdly ive gotten this question from alot of friends, so ill address it sex is TOP notch. Its physically AND emotionally fullfulling which you dont always get w BM being perfectly honest. We have intimacy, and when you get that you never wish to go back to just getting your back blown out. Theres no comparison. Last point is, when we're out in public, BM are so perplexed and mad at me. Like i did something wrong for choosing the partner that treats me best. Like i abandoned them for choosing happiness and hypergamy. I havent. Another candid admission, sometimes my partner and i discuss race(alot) but the topic of BM comes up. He takes little shots sometimes. He never lies with what he says and its never malicious just an honest observation. I STILL protect them. I never let his comments go too far. Even though inside i KNOW hes telling the truth im adament that it isnt his place to address it. He respects it. All in all my point is this, BW never gave up on BM. We still havent to this day. Were(some of us)are just finally for the first time in history beginning to choose us. That doesnt mean IR dating always, but simply happiness. They should be happy for us. Not take it as a "slight". The fact that they do further reinforces how selfish, self serving, and resentful they truly are. Theres nothing BW can do to eradicate that from their hearts. The fact of the matter is also this: The Black community is seperated into two factions ALREADY, BM and BW. BM make sure to make the distinction apparent at every opportunity. The only man that understood me, took it slow and wanted to get to know me was a WM. It was hard letting him go because I realized God wanted to work on other areas of me. He was 10 years older than me and when I say the absolute best listener and communicator ALSO understanding it was FOREIGN to me but I enjoyed it. I didn’t feel I could be his peace I had and still have a lot going on. I pray that man found a good woman and he definitely changed my view on dating outside my race, I was definitely on some, I like my meat well done mess before I met him 😂😂😂 Now when I get it together IF it’s meant for me to date again I’m open to all options especially WM. My dad is actually biracial, my grandfather on my dads side was Italian. My daddy was picked on by BM growing up and he actually told my mother about the demise BM would face from their own actions before he passed. RIP Daddy, he taught my mom so much and I thank God for this because he seen how sad BM were in the 90s.

As a Black Woman I agree as a whole our Black Men have let us down. Their quick to say we tell them we don’t need them, their quick to say we don’t respect them and want to be the man. Trust and believe, do they really think we like all this responsibility that’s placed on us? In most cases we’re the mother and the father to their children. We’re the ones who has to provide for the children and so much more, while we listen to many degrade us, and talk about how other races of women are better than us. Even in most cases we see those same races of women becoming baby mamas as well, and putting up with disrespect and they allow it. Many of these bm respect/want to be wm. Many want things handed to them and hate to work for anything (and refuse to work on themselves). Bm are not going to hold each other accountable or clean up their communities because many of them are incompetent or just don't care. This is funny. Being in my first interraccial relationship has been very eye opening for me as a BW.
For one, my partner has been clear from the beginning about his plan, where i could and most likely will fit into that, and how expects both of us to execute certain aspects to make that happen.
Secondly to be candid, i personally learned that the grass isnt necessarily greener. Meaning a MAN is a MAN. He DEFINTELY still tries me lol, BUT ill say this, hes much more able to see certain errors in BOTH of our ways and is very solution oriented, meaning he has some emotional things, and obviously(as a bw) i have lots of trauma and anger tbh that im healing... HE suggested seperate and couples counseling as a requirement if we were to ever stand a chance. THATS the difference.
Thirdly ive gotten this question from alot of friends, so ill address it sex is TOP notch. Its physically AND emotionally fullfulling which you dont always get w BM being perfectly honest. We have intimacy, and when you get that you never wish to go back to just getting your back blown out. Theres no comparison.
Last point is, when we're out in public, BM are so perplexed and mad at me. Like i did something wrong for choosing the partner that treats me best. Like i abandoned them for choosing happiness and hypergamy. I havent. Another candid admission, sometimes my partner and i discuss race(alot) but the topic of BM comes up. He takes little shots sometimes. He never lies with what he says and its never malicious just an honest observation. I STILL protect them. I never let his comments go too far. Even though inside i KNOW hes telling the truth im adament that it isnt his place to address it. He respects it.
All in all my point is this, BW never gave up on BM. We still havent to this day. Were(some of us)are just finally for the first time in history beginning to choose us. That doesnt mean IR dating always, but simply happiness. They should be happy for us. Not take it as a "slight". The fact that they do further reinforces how selfish, self serving, and resentful they truly are. Theres nothing BW can do to eradicate that from their hearts. If they consider that abandonment, so be it.

The fact of the matter is also this: The Black community is seperated into two factions ALREADY, BM and BW. BM make sure to make the distinction apparent at every opportunity. When BW are disrespected only BW care. Not the collective. When BM are disrespected the collective is expected to care and act. With this revealed to me over time, I've learned to reprogram my thinking to see it as it is and choose to seperate myself in the way thats alreary been laid out before me. I dont let it go too far as i stated above(which is even more than alot of BM tend to do when their other race counterparts put down BW) but thats about all i can do. The problem is beyond me. Lastly, the way i've corrected him at times ive had to correct BM in the SAME way when "confronting" steryotypes to me about BW....my whole life. Defending BW to other BP(men) which actually causes more confusion and pain than having to do so with someone who truly has a minimal reference point of understanding.
