Brandon and Tyler are great examples of how practitioners are supposed to behave: they have vast amounts of knowledge and ability, and ZERO ego. Safety always comes first, both for you and your partner.
Pause the video and really take a look at Brandon's hands and feet. Beautifully thick bone and muscle structure, like a big ole Saint Bernard puppy. No wonder his grips and posts are incredible - he was BUILT for it. And being Minnesota, I bet that was THE most polite ass-kicking ever. LOL!
Yes but only very good heel hookers are landing them now on their modern contemporaries and only when you see a deep practiced ashi. It has made the flow of technique complete and this generation is very very skilled for it
The pants certainly help with controlling the leg! However, the reason I'm in a gi is because this was on a Wednesday. Wednesday is gi day. Most only BJJ guys wear gi's at the Academy on wednesdays at 11am. Tyler came in nogi. (Note. There are also other nogi guys in the room training at the same time. That is the MMA team.)
I love outside passing since I'm a little lad. Tyler you're going to need to get some twinkle toes and be a tad lighter on your feet if you're going to be outside passing these leglockers lol. Them thunder thighs are too bussin to be moving that slow xD
good video, had to click this one since l live just about a mile from Greg's school (the Academy where this was filmed) & have trained martial arts in Minnesota for 35 years 👍
@@NoBody-tz4fb I'd say it's the other way around leg lockers duck MMA competition... that said I use knee bars and heel hooks like no tomorrow in MMA however I never play guard to get there
Brandon was calm and deliberate with his pace. Very technical. Very smooth. Impressive work.
Brandon looked awesome! He is what BJJ is supposed to be about, "Very technical. Very smooth. Impressive work. "Not a bunch of muscle."
Thanks 😊
I got tapped by Brandon last week. Super nice guy, gently put my life at risk over and over.
this guys limb dexterity is insane.
Now, that is a dangerous man. A man that can slo mo roll against a more than decent black belt is a dangerous, dangerous man.
Thank you!
His hands are enormous and his is Very flexible for his size...!!!great roll!!

At least that sweep was pretty nice

Nice roll! This guy looks like the immovable object/unstoppable force.
Another awesome video. Thanks for the content.
Rematch with Brandon playing top offensive needed.

Man love your videos I don’t even watch or do bjj you’re a really good commentator
Love the round but I honestly hate how jiu jitsu has become a race to heel.

Is no one gonna mention how Brandon’s in a Gi and Tyler isn’t
To makes it harder for Tyler to escape leg locks 😅

Rolled with him in his blue belt days. I caught him once and lets stop the story there.
You should challenge my friend nathan mendeldson in santa cruz california..😉😉

You put yourself in nasty situation and get smashed
this is the difference with other youtuber who only show them at their best
Tyler love your content bro..thank you ..guillotine king
Try using a Gi
Isn't Greg Nelson the owner of the academy?
Brandon owns an affiliate @ St Paul.
@@josemanuelbetanzos5672oh nice! Greg has such a big network now. Such a pioneer for Midwest combat sports.
Tyler Gyattler
who gave you your black belt brother?
Ooh, he lifts, too. 😬
Tough cookie to break :D
You know what man? I'm a 52 yo hobbyist blue belt. And I tap to heal hooks! WhyTH wouldn't I??? 😂
Greg Nelson's academy?
Indeed it is
Nice! We are all in the CSW affiliation...he is good friends with our Coach Erik Paulson. Greg is just amazing!!
Hearing "Best black belt in MN" and not seeing Greg Nelson...
It’s his gym they rolling in
Yea a reminder why I quit bjj. My knees hurt just watching this 😂
Need to coat your ankles in bear grease, can't heel hook what you can't grab.
Not even close to being the best black belt in Minnesota.
Oss
Bots are going crazy
Just one bot and the beyda male is trying to seek attention 💀😭😭😭
Maybe try not to antagonize a superior opponent. He probably didn't appreciate the Packer shorts.
That stuff will get you killed in MMA
Why do mma fighters duck leg lockers then?
